The Pid-Based Three Quadcopter Uavs Formation Control Under External Disturbance, Vo Van An, Trinh Luong Mien

This paper presents the design and evaluation of a formation control strategy for three quadcopter UAVs, based on a PID controller in a leader–follower structure, under the influence of external disturbances. Each UAV employs a six-degree of-freedom dynamic model and utilises a cascade PID control architecture, in which the inner control loop stabilises the attitude. In contrast, the outer control loop regulates position and maintains the formation. The PID parameters are tuned using the Ziegler–Nichols method to ensure simple implementation and low computational cost. The effects of airflow dynamics, heat transfer, and mechanical properties on the HDPE blown film extrusion process were examined using a single-lip air ring with a fixed compressed-air valve opening angle of 10°. Reynolds numbers ranging from 9175 to 25911 were analyzed to understand their impact on cooling efficiency, bubble morphology, and film properties. Numerical simulations employing the Standard k−ω turbulence model in ANSYS FLUENT v2023, with mesh refinement achieving y+ ≈ 1, captured detailed flow and heat transfer behavior. This study explores the aerodynamic benefits of bio-inspired design modifications for autonomous drones using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Four bio-inspired configurations—leading-edge serrations, winglets, riblet surfaces, and curved wings—were assessed and compared against a baseline drone model to evaluate their impact on aerodynamic performance. The results indicated that all bio-inspired designs significantly enhanced lift, reduced drag, and improved overall aerodynamic efficiency. The leading-edge serration configuration achieved the highest performance gains, with a 33.6% increase in maximum lift coefficient (CL) and a 29.5% improvement in lift-to-drag ratio (CL/CD), primarily due to delayed flow separation and reduced turbulence. Effective noise and vibration control remains a critical challenge in high-speed rail systems, directly influencing passenger comfort and the longevity of infrastructure. This study evaluated four advanced materials—piezoelectric materials, shape memory alloys (SMAs), magnetorheological (MR) fluids, and damping composites—focusing on their potential for mitigating noise and vibration in high-speed rail applications. Endwall contouring having significance in delineating ideal endwalls competent in thermal load depletion is the focus of this study. We have successfully utilized non-axisymmetric contoured endwalls to enhance turbine performance by controlling the secondary flow characteristics in a blade passage through steady-state numerical hydrodynamics. Decaffeination by microbial degradation is currently the most optimal and low-cost approach, involving only microbial cells and/or their enzymes. The bacterium was characterized using a series of biochemical tests. Positive results were obtained from carbohydrate fermentation, citrate utilization, and catalase tests, while negative results were obtained from Voges-Proskauer (VP) and indole tests. Three different caffeine concentrations of 0.25%, 0.4%, and 2% were tested and measured through Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometry (GC-MS) analysis. Heat transfer enhancement could be realized using magnetohydrodynamics together with nanofluids specifically in flow micro-convection in a microtube, flow past a vertical porous plate, and square duct flow with discrete heat sources numerically. A critical value for the Rayleigh number, a maximum value for the magnetic field strength, a low Reynolds number, and volume concentrations exists for thermal enhancement to simulate nanofluid flow in a microtube. The study explores axisymmetric endwall contouring with emphasis on the design of novel endwalls capable of heat load reduction. Optimizations with parameterization numerically determined by the endwall of flat shape led to the endwall of the contoured shape with substantial depletion of heat transfer in the passage of the vane. Heat transfer attributes for the generated contoured endwalls were analyzed for the exit Reynolds number of 2 × 106 . X-ray diffraction techniques were performed to determine the actual crystal structure of A2 austenitic stainless steel (ASS) as-cast and A2 ASS after arc plasma sintering (APS) for 2 s. Computations were conducted on the basis of the Bragg arithmetic formula by comparing the S2 arithmetic with the interplanar spacing. The Bragg arithmetic formula is a simple series for the determination of the crystalline phase of materials based on the Miller indices of cubic shapes or other shapes. The present work was carried out with the development of hybrid polymer electrolytes (HPEs) by using carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC)–polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) doped with different contents of lithium nitrate (LiNO3) for the determination of their structural and conduction properties. The structural analysis was conducted by using Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy and showed the interaction between the blend host polymer and ionic dopant, which formed via the coordinating site of CMC-PVA and Li+-NO3−. This study investigated the utilization of plastic-waste concrete as an effort to reduce urban waste problems. The waste plastic bottles were utilized to form the hollows of the hollow-core slabs (HCSs). The bottles were made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). As a part of green research to reuse waste material, shredded PET was also added to the concrete mixture to improve the HCS strength.
