Boiler Feed Water Purification At The Gorge Power Plant, Akron, Ohio, Bernerd William Adams
Boiler Feed Water Purification At The Gorge Power Plant, Akron, Ohio, Bernerd William Adams
Professional Degree Theses
"The conditions of operation at the Gorge Power Plant were such that raw water was used in all the boilers. The boilers were operated at an average of about one-hundred and seventy-five percent rating and considerable scale formed in the tubes of the boilers. It was evident that this caused a large loss in fuel and increased the expense of maintenance. It was necessary to employ a number of men to remove the scale. An investigation was made to determine as nearly as possible the loss caused by the use of impure water. After the investigation, an attempt was made …
Measurement Of Air Under High Pressure By Orifice Method, George E. Mellow
Measurement Of Air Under High Pressure By Orifice Method, George E. Mellow
Bachelors Theses
"The measuring of compressed air, under high pressures, by means of observing the drop in pressure on passing thru an orifice, is in a new field of endeavor. The necessity of measuring compressed air, in order to handle it economically, is obvious. Hence, the importance of a simple device by which this may be done. A device, which may be duplicated at any time, at any place, with very little expense, and ordinary materials"--Introduction, page iii.
