Techno-Economic Analysis Of The Utilization Of Waste-To-Energy In Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung, Wahyu Punjung Pesonagrata, Mohammad Akita Indianto
Journal of Materials Exploration and Findings
Indonesia has a serious waste problem, which ranking second in marine pollution. Due to significant environmental impacts, a solution to overcome the complexity of waste problems is needed. This study took sample on waste management in Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP). JIEP is an Industrial area which covers 443 hectares of land in East Jakarta. This study aims to address Indonesia's serious waste problem by exploring the potential utilization of waste in the Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) as Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) for a waste-to-energy (WtE) power plant. The proposed method used a steam power plant with RDF as fuel …

Humidity sensors are pivotal in numerous sectors, such as environmental monitoring, industrial automation, and health-care. This study presents the fabrication and detailed evaluation of an advanced humidity sensor using ethyl cellulose (EC)-coated LaFe0.925Ti0.075O3 (LFTO) perovskite nanoparticles synthesized via the sol-gel method. The LFTO nanopar-ticles exhibited a mesoporous structure with an enhanced surface area, which significantly improved their moisture adsorption capabilities. The innovative application of EC coating addresses critical substrate adhesion issues, enhancing mechanical stability without compromising sensor sensitivity. Comprehensive performance evaluations revealed minimal hysteresis (

The synthesis of carbonaceous materials for reduced graphene oxide (rGO) precursors using oil palm empty fruit bunches waste as a carbon source offers a sustainable solution for waste management in the palm oil industry while delivering high-performance materials. The oil palm empty fruit bunches were carbonized, followed by acid washing, pyrolysis with ferrocene (8%, 12%, and 16% variations), and ultrasonication to produce rGO. The structural, electronic, and morphological properties of the rGO were analyzed using various characterization techniques. The band gap values decreased with increasing ferrocene concentration, from 1.14 eV (8%) to 1.06 (16%), indicating enhanced electronic conductivity. XRD analysis …

Inspection Program Effectiveness Key Performance Indicator For Pressurized Static Equipment Integrity At Offshore Platform, Teuku Ahmad Haekal, Johny Wahyuadi Soedarsono, Badrul Munir, Muhammad Yudi Masduky Sholihin
Journal of Materials Exploration and Findings
One of the key challenges in asset integrity management system at offshore platform is the lack of visibility regarding performance issues and program effectiveness. Without proper performance measurement systems, it becomes difficult to address positive or negative trends promptly and for management to stay informed about the status and the impact of the inspection program. Therefore, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is needed to measure inspection program effectiveness to prevent undesirable equipment failures that could lead to Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) or Process Safety Event (PSE). The developed KPI is the ratio of the number of non-leak inspection findings with …

Thermal Performance Investigation Of Thermoelectric Cooling System With Various Hot-Side Cooling Methods, Bowo Y. Prasetyo, Parisya P. Rosulindo, Fujen Wang
Makara Journal of Technology
Thermoelectric devices have been widely used in various applications, including cooling and power generation. The potential application of thermoelectric cooling systems has been studied. However, these systems still face challenges in achieving optimal performance compared with other cooling systems. Several factors, including the hot-side cooling method, influence the performance of thermoelectric systems. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different hot-side cooling methods on the thermoelectric performance and thermal behavior of thermoelectric cooling systems. The testing methods involved the combination of the thermoelectric module with five hot-side heat exchangers, including a square heatsink, a round heatsink, a two-pipe heat …

Indonesia has 17,204 islands registered, named, and coordinated by Geospatial Information Agency (BIG). The number of islands can threaten maritime boundary disputes between provinces, districts, and cities. One of the disputes is the claim over Pulau Tujuh, which is mutually contested for ownership by the Province of Bangka Belitung and the Province of Riau Islands. This study aims to analyze the marine management zone of the Pulau Tujuh claim. It is carried out using the cartometric method. This study of regional boundaries refers to the Regulation of The Minister of Home Affairs of The Republic of Indonesia 141 of 2017, …
