Dual-Interface Wifi Packet Sniffer System Using Esp32-Cam With Real-Time Pcap Generation For Iot Network Analysis, Boy Setiawan Boy, Maghfiroh Maulani, Zico Pratama Putra, Muhammad Senoyodha Brennaf

Makara Journal of Technology

This study focuses on designing and implementing a cost-effective and energy-efficient WiFi packet sniffer system using the ESP32. The ESP32-CAM module, which combines WiFi, Bluetooth, and microSD support, is used to capture IEEE 802.11 frames in real-time via promiscuous mode. Packets are stored in packet capture format, which is compatible with tools such as Wireshark and Scapy. Developed using the official ESP-IDF, it offers low-level control and high performance. Two user interfaces were implemented: a UART-based text menu and a web-based HTTPS menu hosted on the ESP32 itself. Functional and performance evaluations were conducted with a focus on capturing broadcast …

Artificial Intelligence Applications For Grid-Connected Solar Inverters, Utkirjon Ubaydullaev, Sarvinoz Mirzaeva, Hasan Mustafoev Apr 2025

Artificial Intelligence Applications For Grid-Connected Solar Inverters, Utkirjon Ubaydullaev, Sarvinoz Mirzaeva, Hasan Mustafoev

Chemical Technology, Control and Management

The increasing global demand for renewable energy has highlighted the importance of grid-connected solar inverters in ensuring efficient and stable power conversion. However, challenges such as fluctuations in solar energy generation, grid disturbances, and power quality issues necessitate advanced control strategies. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into solar inverters presents a transformative solution, enhancing performance, adaptability, and reliability in real-world applications.

This review explores the role of AI techniques, including machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), fuzzy logic, and reinforcement learning (RL), in optimizing key inverter functionalities such as maximum power point tracking (MPPT), fault detection, power quality enhancement, …

Machine Learning Approach To Stability Analysis Of Semiconductor Memory Element, Ravindra Thanniru, Gautam Kapila, Nibhrat Lohia Dec 2021

Machine Learning Approach To Stability Analysis Of Semiconductor Memory Element, Ravindra Thanniru, Gautam Kapila, Nibhrat Lohia

SMU Data Science Review

Memory stability analysis traditionally relied heavily on circuit simulation-based approaches that run Monte Carlo (MC) analysis over various manufacturing and use condition parameters. This paper researches application of Machine Learning approaches for memory element failure analysis which could mimic simulation-like accuracy and minimize the need for engineers to rely heavily on simulators for their validations. Both regressor and classifier algorithms are benchmarked for accuracy and recall scores. A high recall score implies fewer escapes of fails to field and is the metric of choice for comparing algorithm. The paper identifies that recall score in excess of 0.97 can be achieved …

Creating Reel Designs: Reflecting On Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita In The Community, Iris Layadi Oct 2021

Creating Reel Designs: Reflecting On Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita In The Community, Iris Layadi

Purdue Journal of Service-Learning and International Engagement

Because of its extreme rarity, the genetic disease arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) and the needs of individuals with the diagnosis are often overlooked. AMC refers to the development of nonprogressive contractures in disparate areas of the body and is characterized by decreased flexibility in joints, muscle atrophy, and developmental delays. Colton Darst, a seven-year-old boy from Indianapolis, Indiana, was born with the disorder, and since then, he has undergone numerous surgical interventions and continues to receive orthopedic therapy to reduce his physical limitations. His parents, Michael and Amber Darst, have hopes for him to regain his limbic motion and are …

Autonomous Speed Control For Kia Optima, Andrew J. Combs, Kyle Fugatt, Kevin Mcfall Jun 2017

Autonomous Speed Control For Kia Optima, Andrew J. Combs, Kyle Fugatt, Kevin Mcfall

The Kennesaw Journal of Undergraduate Research

The standard method for speed control is the cruise control system built into most modern vehicles. These systems employ a PID controller which actuates the accelerator thus, in turn, maintains the desired vehicle speed. The main drawback of such a system is that typically the cruise control will only engage above 25 mph. The goal of this paper is to describe a system which we used to control vehicle speed from a stop to any desired speed using an Arduino microcontroller and a CAN BUS shield, from where autonomous features can be built upon. With this system, we were able …

Synchronization Limits Of Chaotic Circuits, C. M. Church, Stephen R. Addison Jan 2014

Synchronization Limits Of Chaotic Circuits, C. M. Church, Stephen R. Addison

Journal of the Arkansas Academy of Science

Through system modeling with electronic circuits, two circuits were constructed that exhibit chaos over a wide ranges of initial conditions. The two circuits were one that modeled an algebraically simple “jerk” function and a resistor-inductor-diode (RLD) circuit where the diode was reverse-biased on the positive voltage cycle of the alternating current source. Using simulation data from other experiments, the waveforms, bifurcation plots, and phase space plots of the concrete circuit were verified. Identical circuits were then built containing variable components and coupled to their original, matching circuits. The variable components were used to observe a wide range of conditions to …

Novel High Frequency Silicon Carbide Static Induction Transistor-Based Test-Bed For The Acquisition Of Sic Power Device Reverse Recovery Characteristics, Kevin M. Speer, Ty R. Mcnutt, Alexander B. Lostetter, H. Alan Mantooth, Kraig J. Olejniczak Jan 2003

Novel High Frequency Silicon Carbide Static Induction Transistor-Based Test-Bed For The Acquisition Of Sic Power Device Reverse Recovery Characteristics, Kevin M. Speer, Ty R. Mcnutt, Alexander B. Lostetter, H. Alan Mantooth, Kraig J. Olejniczak

Journal of the Arkansas Academy of Science

A test system is presented that utilizes a high-frequency Silicon Carbide (SiC) Static Induction Transistor (SIT) in place of the traditional MOSFET to test reverse recovery characteristics for the new class of SiC power diodes. An easily implementable drive circuit is presented that can drive the high-frequency SIT. The SiC SIT is also compared to a commonly used Si MOSFET in the test circuit application.
