Healthcare benefits related to continuous monitoring of human movement and physical activity can potentially reduce the risk of accidents associated with elderly living alone at home. Based on the literature review, it is found that many studies focus on human activity recognition and are still active towards achieving practical solutions to support the elderly care system. The proposed system has introduced a joint approach of machine learning and signal processing technology for the recognition of human's physical movements using signal data generated by accelerometer sensors. The framework adopts the concept of DSP to select very descriptive feature sets and uses …

Feature selection technique is an important step in the prediction and classification process, primarily in data mining related aspects or related to medical field. Feature selection is immersive with the errand of choosing a subset of applicable features that could be utilized in developing a prototype. Medical datasets are huge in size; hence some effective optimization techniques are required to produce accurate results. Optimization algorithms are a critical function in medical data mining particularly in identifying diseases since it offers excellent effectiveness in minimum computational expense and time. The classification algorithms also produce superior outcomes when an objective function is …

ABSTRACT: In this study, we have carried the bibliometric review of the “Tea quality evaluation using artificial intelligence”. Only the Scopus database is under consideration for this analysis. To coat all possible research approaches here we have generated the valid search queries which excludes irrelevant literature. The result analysis shows overall 602 useful papers are available on the tea quality evaluation out of which 12 papers are specifically on artificial taste perception of tea. This survey illustrates the emerging trend of quality evaluation and assurance (QEA) in tea industry and its importance. As the production of tea is huge, storage …

The paper presents a bibliometric analysis from 2014 to 2020 of the emerging and engaging field of quantum computing called Quantum Machine Learning (QML). The study discusses the analysis results from the comprehensive high indexed databases worldwide such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Scopus, Web of Science (WOS), Google Scholar and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Tools like iMapbuilder, IBM and SPSS Statistics are used to provide meaningful insights and flawless representations of the extracted data. There has been little research to provide a macroscopic overview of renowned authors, subject areas, funding agencies and patent applications …

Modelling is a way of constructing a virtual representation of software and hardware that involves a real-world device. We will discover the behaviour of the system if the software elements of this model are guided by mathematical relationships. For testing conditions that may be difficult to replicate with hardware prototypes alone, modelling and simulation are particularly useful, especially in the early phase of the design process when hardware might not be available. Model-based approach in MATLAB-Simulink can be useful for predictive maintenance of machines as it can reduce unplanned downtimes and maintenance costs when industrial equipment breaks. Through this bibliometric …

Automation is interpreted as the replacement of manual operations by electronics and computer-controlled systems. Human resource management is an indispensable part of every firm be it the space of retail, healthcare, education or any other sector. Activities such as hiring new workers, training, or making sure that local labour laws are obeyed with HR processes and are a crucial part of every organisation. HR has typically been believed of as an extremely manual department procedure. Employees are accustomed to doing this manually and getting the job done themselves. But everything around the HR processes are changing rapidly. HR Automation is …

Smart wearables help real-time and remote monitoring of health data for effective diagnostic and preventive health care services. Wearable devices have the ability to track and monitor healthcare vitals such as heart rate, physical activities, BMI (Body Mass Index), blood pressure, and keeps an individual notified about the health status. Artificial Intelligence-enabled wearables show an ability to transform the health insurance sector. This would not only enable self-management of individual health but also help them focus from treatments to the preventions of health hazards. With this customer-centric approach to health care, it will enable the insurance companies to track the …

Authentication is an essential step for giving access to resources to authorized individuals and prevent leakage of confidential information. The traditional authentication systems like a pin, card, a password could not differentiate among the authorized users and fakers who have an illegal access to the system. Traditional authentication technique never alerts about the unwanted access to the system. The device that allows the automatic identification of an individual is known as a biometric system. It is not required to remember a password, card, and pin code in the Bio-metric system. Numerous biometric characteristics like the fingerprint, iris, palm print, face …

The Internet has become an essential part of modern communication. People are sharing ideas, thoughts, and beliefs easily, using social media. This sharing of ideas has raised a big problem like the spread of the radicalized extremist ideas. The various extremist organizations use the social media as a propaganda tool. The extremist organizations actively radicalize and recruit youths by sharing inciting material on social media. Extremist organizations use social media to influence people to carry out lone-wolf attacks. Social media platforms employ various strategies to identify and remove the extremist content. But due to the sheer amount of data and …

Delivering a reliable software product is a fairly complex process, which involves proper coordination from the various teams in planning, execution, and testing for delivering software. Most of the development time and the software budget's cost is getting spent finding and fixing bugs. Rework and side effect costs are mostly not visible in the planned estimates, caused by inherent bugs in the modified code, which impact the software delivery timeline and increase the cost. Artificial intelligence advancements can predict the probable defects with classification based on the software code changes, helping the software development team make rational decisions. Optimizing the …

Heterogenous and voluminous unstructured data is produced from various sources like emails, social media tweets, reviews, videos, audio, images, PDFs, scanned documents, etc. Organizations need to store this wide range of unstructured data for more and longer periods so that they can examine information all the more profoundly to make a better decision and extracting useful insights. Manual processing of such unstructured data is always a challenging, time-consuming, and expensive task for any organization. Automating unstructured document processing using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Robotics Process Automation (RPA), seems to have limitations, as those techniques are driven by rules or …

The new industrial revolution called Industry 4.0 is proliferating at its peak. The time is no longer away when the human race is going to witness a huge paradigm shift. Intelligent machines empowered by Artificial Intelligence (AI)will take over the presence of human workers in the industrial manufacturing sector with the target of achieving 100% automation. With the emergence of cut-throat price competition in the product market, it has become equally important to manufacture goods at minimal costs and with the highest quality. Predicting the decrease in machinery efficiency at an earlier stage to accomplish this objective helps to reduce …

A recruitment process requires an eligibility check, an aptitude evaluation and a psychometric analysis of prospective candidates. The work puts forward an application where the system allows employers to post new job offerings and registered candidates can apply. The application estimates applicant’s emotional aptitude through a psychometric analysis based on a test whereas the professional standard is verified via a technical aptitude test. OCEAN Model is used to assess emotional quotient and predict the personality traits. Machine learning techniques such as Logistic Regression are used for modelling the personality predictor. The details of the candidates are kept secure by using …
