Abstract: A rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on a weighted domain adaptive convolutional neural network (WDACNN) is proposed to solve the problem that the data distribution of vibration signals of rolling bearings changes due to workload changes, which leads to poor generalization of fault diagnosis algorithm. In this method, the domain adaptation algorithm is embedded in the convolutional neural network to make the classifier based on the source domain achieve excellent generalization in the target domain, and the weight coefficient is introduced to weight the samples in the source domain to reduce the influence of the class weight deviation. …

Abstract: To solve the multi-depot half-open vehicle routing problem with simultaneous delivery-pickup and time windows, this paper builds a mathematical model of a multi-depot half-open vehicle routing problem with simultaneous delivery-pickup and time windows by balancing the vehicle in and out of the distribution center and minimizing vehicle delivery distance as the goal. According to the characteristics of the problem, a brain storm algorithm based on chaotic mutation is designed to solve this problem,and the sequential crossover strategy is adopted to increase the population diversity. Abstract: A charging facility layout method based on charging selection behavior is proposed for the current uncoordinated development of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure and the low utilization of public charging facilities. Abstract: Aiming at green 2-echelon vehicle routing problem with simultaneous pick-up and delivery, a learning-based ant colony optimization algorithm combined with clustering decomposition is proposed. Nephrons are the basic filtering units of the kidneys. Progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) destroys nephrons permanently. Although there are many computing schemes suggested in recent years to identify CKD stages, no computing method has been suggested for identifying the nephron loss within kidney regions during CKD progression. In this paper, a novel pattern matching-based computation scheme is proposed to detect nephron loss in the kidney regions during CKD progression. In this work, using a lumped RC circuit model which is based on transmission line modeling (TLM) method, the charge transfer in a solid insulating system encapsulating a gaseous void of submillimeter dimensions is evaluated. Here, both the dielectric material and gaseous void are considered simultaneously as a transmission line. The transmission line includes the capacitive and resistance elements and, the obtained circuit equations were coupled with the continuity and kinetic energy equations for charged species along with Poisson's equation. In this study, the aim is to evaluate three-phase (3?) AC/DC neutral point-clamped (NPC) power factor corrected (PFC) multilevel converter performance for electric vehicle (EV) fast chargers. Power factor correction for EV fast chargers is very important in terms of efficient power usage and charger compatibility with the grid. Multilevel converters improve charging efficiency, reduce voltage stresses on components, minimize electromagnetic interference, and support high power capabilities. The challenge of providing data privacy and integrity while maintaining efficient performance for honest users is a persistent concern in cryptography. Attackers exploit advances in parallel hardware and custom circuit hardware to gain an advantage over regular users. One such method is the use of Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) to optimize key derivation function (KDF) algorithms, giving adversaries a significant advantage in password guessing and recovery attacks. Other examples include using graphical processing units (GPUs) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). Improving object manipulation skills through hand-object interaction exercises is crucial for rehabilitation. Despite limited healthcare resources, physical therapists propose remote exercise routines followed up by remote monitoring. However, remote motor skills assessment remains challenging due to the lack of effective motion visualizations. There is ongoing research at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other private industries to examine a concept for delegated separation in multiple classes of airspace to allow unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to remain well clear of other aircraft. Detect and Avoid (DAA) capabilities are one potential technology being examined to maintain separation. To evaluate these DAA capabilities, input traffic scenarios are needed, but current approaches are limited by the breadth of the traffic recordings available. This multi-methods study explores changes in engineering interest and identity of middle and high school students (n = 79) attending introductory-level engineering summer camps at a large western land grant university. Middle school is a critical time when student interest, identity, and subsequently career choice begin to emerge and hence it is important that at this age students are given accurate information about engineering majors in college and future career opportunities in engineering.
