To solve the problems of lacking comparative research on the improvement effects of different reinforcement methods when formulating reinforcement schemes for prestressed concrete small box girders and that existing bearing capacity improvement tests mostly focus on scale models with insufficient reliability of results, full-scale model tests and numerical simulation analysis of five 30 m span prestressed concrete small box girders with different joint reinforcement measures were conducted in this paper. Structural safety is directly affected by the mechanical properties of concrete at high temperatures. Firstly, based on the existing compression and tension test data of concrete at high temperatures, the Abaqus finite element software was adopted for numerical simulation reproduction, and the reliability of the simulation method was verified. Secondly, by simulating the uniaxial tension-compression and confining pressure tests of normal concrete with different strength grades under high temperatures of 20‒800 ℃, the influence rules of temperature on the compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, elastic modulus, and stress ‒ strain relationship of concrete were elucidated. Under the long-term effects of disasters such as rainstorms and floods,the soil layer around subway stations may be affected by internal erosion,threatening the structural safety of urban subway stations.To explore the influence of internal erosion on subway station structures,this study conducted isotropic consolidation and triaxial compression tests on gap-graded sand soil.Eroded soil specimens were simulated by adjusting the fine particle content to explore the pattern of variations in physical and mechanical properties caused by internal erosion.Results indicate that internal erosion alters the stress-strain relationship of gap-graded sand soil,increasing compressibility,decreasing shear strength,and weakening dilatancy.Drucker-Prager (DP) cap model parameters for eroded sand …

To select appropriate support structures in foundation pit engineering of underground tunnels for the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA ),this paper proposed the use of inclined-vertical combined interlocked steel pipe piles,which are beneficial for support,water isolation,and recovery.Numerical simulations were conducted using finite element software Midas GTS NX to analyze the effect of different combination types and inclination angles on the engineering response of the inner-row piles of inclined-vertical combined double-row interlocked steel pipe piles.The results show that the inclined-vertical combined double-row piles reduce the horizontal displacement at the top of the inner-row piles by approximately 50% and decrease the peak …

To obtain the reasonable parameters of a smoke exhaust shaft in a tunnel under different longitudinal slope conditions,the temperature,flow velocity,and smoke exhaust efficiency of the tunnel were taken as indexes,and the numerical model was established by using fire dynamics simulator (FDS ) software to study the influence of the longitudinal slope of the tunnel,shaft width,and shaft length on the ventilation and smoke exhaust in case of a fire.The results show that under the longitudinal slope conditions,with the increase in the shaft width and length,the maximum temperature in the tunnel decreases,and the smoke exhaust efficiency of the shaft increases.However,the influence of …

In order to determine reasonable grouting parameters,control surface settlement,and reduce the risk of excessive surface settlement caused by irrational synchronous grouting parameters,this study studied the shield tunnel project between maglev T 2 station and maglev T 3 station.A numerical simulation method was adopted to study the influence of grouting pressure,grouting volume,and the elastic modulus of slurry on surface deformation.The results show that the tunnel synchronous grouting has a significant effect on surface settlement control.A greater grouting pressure,equivalent grouting layer thickness,and elastic modulus of slurry mean a smaller surface settlement.As the three parameters increase,the variation range of surface settlement decreases and …

This study addresses challenges that arise during highway embankment construction on road widening projects when additional fill is placed above existing culverts. Researchers conducted reduced-scale model laboratory tests to simulate culvert behavior under different loading conditions and to determine how well lightweight materials (LWMs) perform when subjected to changing loads. Testing showed that proximity of LWM to the culvert’s top surface strongly influences the magnitude of strain reductions or increases. Placing LWMs with relatively low elastic modulus closer to the culvert’s top surface led to reduced culvert ceiling strain and increased culvert wall strain. In view of the factors influencing the temperature field of CRC+AC composite road surfaces, this paper analyzed the temperature field distribution and influencing factors of CRC+AC composite road surface structures based on the meteorology and heat transfer theories, and conducted 3D solid modeling and numerical simulation by adopting Abaqus finite element software. The results show that in certain conditions, the deeper distance from the road surface leads to smaller temperature change of the road surface structure. To solve the corrosion and fracture of prestressed tendons in the end-anchor area of post-tensioned prestressed concrete (PC) girders under the chlorine salt environment, this paper employed electrochemically accelerated corrosion tests to obtain three PC members after the fracturing of prestressed tendons in the end-anchor area, and then carried out the static drawing test to study the effects of concrete strength and stirrup diameter on the bonding performance of prestressed tendons after fracturing. To understand the gas migration patterns and ventilation disaster prevention techniques during tunnel construction, this paper uses a real tunnel as the engineering context. A 3D transient ventilation physical model was established using Ansys Fluent, and the effects of ventilation on gas concentration were analyzed in combination with on-site monitoring data. The results show that the uneven diffusion of gas and airflow is prominent. Gas concentration and wind speed stabilize at a distance of 120 m from the tunnel face as ventilation time increases. Focusing on the stability issues of the tunnel face in the large deformation section of soft rock in the Muzhailing Tunnel on the Weiyuan-Wudu Expressway, this paper proposes a technical solution for temporary reinforcement of the tunnel face using pre-stressed rock bolts. Numerical simulations were conducted to evaluate the reinforcement effect and effective range of pre-stressed rock bolts on the tunnel face, and the influence of initial ground stress on the reinforcement effect was further analyzed. To address the issue of frost damage in tunnels in cold regions, research on thermal insulation and frost prevention is crucial. This paper utilizes an improved analytic hierarchy process combined with grey relational analysis to identify optimal insulation materials suitable for different laying methods that provide effective insulation. Numerical simulation methods were then used to calculate and analyze the tunnel temperature field under various combinations of insulation materials and laying methods. Based on the “composite temperature field” comparison results, the optimal insulation scheme was determined. To investigate the mechanical response of rubber powder modified asphalt pavement under dynamic loads, this paper, based on the “Full-Scale Accelerated Pavement Loading Testing” project, designed experimental schemes for asphalt mixtures with varying rubber powder contents. The paper employed accelerated loading test equipment to evaluate the stress and deformation of pavement structures, obtaining dynamic strain response data to analyze the strain response patterns of various structural layers. In order to give full play to the supporting role of the feet-lock anchor pipe in the tunnel with unconsolidated formation, it is necessary to obtain the optimal construction parameters of the feet-lock anchor pipe. Based on a tunnel project on the Huaping–Lijiang Expressway in Yunnan Province, this paper conducted numerical simulation and field test analysis. In the sandy soil area with abundant water content, grouted bolts can solve the problems of poor stability of surrounding rock and groundwater erosion in tunnel construction. However, the unreasonable arrangement of grouted bolts will cause the waste of slurry and fail to achieve the predetermined grouting effect. Based on the differential equation of slurry diffusion, this paper realized the numerical simulation of grouted bolts in a tunnel through software secondary development.
