An article, such as a pallet having a substantially flat deck member and a plurality of hollow legs projecting from the deck member, is molded as a one-piece unit from a papermill sludge. Dried, comminuted papermill sludge is blended with a fibrous reinforcing material, preferably a cellulosic material such as fibrous bark particles, and a resinous particle board binder, the resulting mixture of furnish is formed into a loosely fitted mat, and the mat is placed between dyes of a mold and press and compressed to substantially the desired shape under temperature and pressure conditions sufficient to bond the sludge …

Irrigation is essential in many parts of the world to produce essential food and profitable cash crops. Generally, those areas of land with less than 360 mm of rain spread over a distinct wet season of several months cannot grow crops for food or cash on rainfall alone. Then irrigation becomes necessary unless some peculiarity such as an oasis exists.

The Problem An investigation of curricular programs in industrial education in the public school and teacher education institutions of the Scandinavian countries. The emphasis was on contemporary curricula, program purposes, characteristics, and facilities.

Purpose of the Study Early forms of industrial education in the Scandinavian countries were influential in the origin and development of industrial education in the United States. Available literature contained little information about current systems of industrial education in Scandinavia. The John Gary Anderson Papers consist of biographical sketches of J.G. Anderson and Alice Holler Anderson (wife of J.G. Anderson), newspaper clippings offering accounts of the success and failures of the Rock Hill Buggy Company, the Anderson Motor Company and “the Rock Hill Plan” for reduction of the cotton crop in the south. Also included is a map of Rock Hill dated 1891 and scrapbooks containing advertising materials for Anderson’s products, photographs, and correspondence relating to Anderson’s business, his will and years as a trustee of Winthrop College (1920-1937).
