This paper expands on a project that seeks to address the need for an updated mechanical leaf drying system for local farmers in Ghana, Africa. Working with the local organization, Moringa Connect, we were able to connect and identify potential areas of improvement within the current existing system. This project involved aspects of design, fundraising, and the construction of a rotating metal hopper. This paper covers the design process by a team of students from Cal Poly to provide a chicken coop for the San Luis Obispo High School FFA Farm. The project, initiated in Summer of 2023, aimed to replace their existing temporary chicken coops with a larger, better functioning structure that could house their 10+ chickens comfortably. A response to loneliness and bullying in schools, the buddy bench is a physical and nonverbal way students can identify the need for companionship on a school playground. The skilled labor shortage is well documented from a historical perspective via studies focusing various construction trades such as carpentry, mechanical, electric and plumbing, and tile setters. Transportation departments have made significant strides in addressing the challenges posed by the increasing weights of trucks on bridges. While there is a growing awareness of overheight vehicle collisions with bridges, implementing effective countermeasures remains limited. The susceptibility of bridges to damage from such collisions is on the rise, further exacerbated by unpredictable lateral impact forces. This study employs nonlinear impact analysis to assess the response of an unprotected vehicle-girder model, yielding realistic deformation outcomes comparable to observed impacts on the US-61 bridge. The construction of bridge is important due to its ability to link communities through land-road connection, thereby saving time and increasing productivity of those living in these areas. Therefore, this research evaluated the Temadore bridge, built to link Ternate City, Maitara land and Tidore City by road to enhance movement and reduce disparities in assessing both areas. Data were collected using the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) which searched for and identified several variables according to the dependence power and driving power. The result showed that construction of bridge increased the movement of community activities and productivity, thereby leading to growth.

The current delivery practices of airport projects are traditionally outdated, lacking innovative and modern techniques which provide overall better cost, schedule, among other performance metrics. Design-build (DB) is an alternative and viable option for the effective delivery of airport projects. Previous studies have lacked in focusing on studying the determinants that affect the success of DB airport projects. This study aims to fill this gap. In Determining Related Decisions, Contractors Weigh Various Bidding Factors To Assess The Expected Benefits Of A Construction Project. Various Studies Have Identified Factors That Impact Construction Bidding-Related Decisions.
