It is the intent of the researcher to select from current literature general principles directly related to audio-visual in-service education. Self-Concept Change In Group Counseling, Donald E. Whitcraft

This study investigated the effects of group counseling on the self-concept of 40 junior high school students representative of a ninth grade class in one school district. A comparable control group was used. Self-concept was measured by the Tennessee Self Concept Scale. The scale was administered to all subjects before and after 16 hours of group counseling had been experienced by the experimental group. Congruence of real and ideal self-ratings after counseling, was tested on an Adapted California Q-set.

It was the purpose of this study to survey previous education and experience of industrial arts teachers of the junior and senior high schools in the state of Washington for the 1968-69 school year. This was accomplished utilizing the survey method. This study was undertaken in order to gain knowledge as to the qualifications of present industrial arts teachers. On the basis of results obtained, conclusions were reached which may assist educators in evaluating teacher qualifications as well as their own industrial arts program.

Because literature teachers have little understanding of the art of film, they often consider the film to be a frill rather than an aid to learning. The author contends in this study that literature teachers must be convinced that the motion picture is an art, and that the motion picture teaches the student to appreciate and understand literature more thoroughly. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Student Production Services provided by the Audiovisual Library to the students of Central Washington State College, with a view toward determining the benefits received and the problems encountered by the students in producing instructional media required for their college activities.
