The objective of this research is to examine the educational and public policy concerns pertaining to career transitioning among students with visual impair-ments. The authors conducted a narrative literature review. The conceptualization of policy, with a specific focus on educational and public policies, was provided. The article also discussed the roles and concerns of educational and public policies in facilitating career transitioning for these students. The study contributes to an increased understanding of the educational and policy implications of supporting students with visual impairments during career transitioning. The Future Expectation Scale of Adolescents (FESA) can measure future expectations of education and student career. This study aims to adapt the scale of the FESA work and education domain to the Indonesian language and culture. The adaptation in this study follows the six-stage category of the International Commission Test. Development of adaptation items using a forward-backward translation design involving six experts. This senior capstone project identifies the relationship between students’ learning and bullying, and how educators/parents can learn to identify signs of bullying and how to prevent it. Through the use of literature review and two anonymous interviews, one with a parent of a child who has been bullied and one with a person who has personally been bullied themselves, the result findings showed that bullying has a significant amount of negative effects in students education and overall well-being. The purpose of this phenomenological qualitative study was to examine the decision-making process of K-12 parents living in the Appalachian Highlands who chose to remove their children from traditional public schools to join learning pods (sometimes referred to as pandemic pods) during the COVID-19 pandemic. However a smaller portion of educational resources are allocated to retain nontraditional college students in comparison to traditional college students. An even smaller portion of resources are allocated for the retention of sub- populations of nontraditional college students, such as Mother-Scholars. Therefore it is imperative for postsecondary institutions to understand the needs of sub-populations like Mother-Scholars and adequately apportion resources to increase their retention.

This qualitative inquiry evaluated Colorado Mountain College’s (CMC) in-house Mountain Scholars Program (MSP) via semi-structured interviews with five of its Latino alumni. This study’s assets-based social justice/transformative philosophical framework included David Fetterman’s methodological empowerment evaluation and Tara Yosso’s conceptual community cultural wealth (CCW) theory. The study used embedded design to explore the relationship between alliance and perceived change in reflexive self-awareness in graduate trainees following counseling and psychotherapy programs (n = 48). Linear regression analyses were used to measure the predictive value of alliance on the development of supervisees' reflexive awareness. Qualitative reflexive thematic analysis was also conducted on critical incident reports of supervisees who perceived low vs strong alliances to gain greater in-depth understanding of the quantitative data. Results showed that the alliance does not directly predict observed changes in reflexive awareness. While alliance was found to create favorable conditions to support the …

Throughout history, students with blindness and low vision (BLV) have been vastly underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines with regards to both K-12 education and post-secondary endeavors (Burgstahler, 1994; Supalo, 2010).
