The low test scores on third graders' Illinois State Assessment Test (ISAT) is a concern in the Allgood Elementary School community. Thirty percent of third graders are retained because they do not meet the standard on the ISAT. A technology-assisted reading program, Study Island, was implemented to increase reading proficiency. The purpose of this study was to determine if there was an improvement in standardized test performance after the implementation of Study Island for the academic school years 2009-2012. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษากระบวนการถ่ายทอดการบรรเลงเดี่ยวระนาดเอกของครูพินิจ ฉายสุวรรณ ศิลปินแห่งชาติ 2) สร้างคู่มือการถ่ายทอดการบรรเลงเดี่ยวระนาดเอกตามแนวทางของครูพินิจ ฉายสุวรรณ ศิลปินแห่งชาติ วิธีการดำเนินการวิจัยใช้ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการศึกษาเอกสาร และการสัมภาษณ์ (interview) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการตีความข้อมูล (interpretation) สร้างข้อสรุปและนำเสนอเป็นความเรียง ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ครูพินิจ ฉายสุวรรณ เป็นศิลปินผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านดนตรีปี่พาทย์ทั้งภาคทฤษฎี ภาคปฏิบัติ และการถ่ายทอด โดยเฉพาะเครื่องมือระนาดเอก ได้รับการยกย่องว่ามีความเป็นเลิศ ครูพินิจได้รับการถ่ายทอดการบรรเลงเดี่ยวระนาดเอกจากครูสอน วงฆ้อง ครูพริ้ง ดนตรีรส และครูเชื้อ ดนตรีรส โดยครูทั้งสามท่านนี้เป็นลูกศิษย์โดยตรงของพระยาเสนาะดุริยางค์ ในช่วงหลังขณะที่ครูพินิจรับราชการประจำอยู่ที่วงดนตรีไทยกรุงเทพมหานคร ท่านได้รับการถ่ายทอดบทเพลงเดี่ยวต่าง ๆ จากครูบุญยงค์ เกตุคง รวมทั้งได้ต่อเพลงเดี่ยวเพิ่มเติมกับครูท่านอื่น ๆ ด้วย เช่น ครูบุญช่วย ชิตท้วม ครูสนิท ลัดดาอ่อน เป็นต้น ลูกศิษย์ที่ได้รับการถ่ายทอดการบรรเลงเดี่ยวระนาดเอกจากครูพินิจต้องมีพื้นฐานการบรรเลงระนาดเอกมาก่อนในระดับหนึ่ง ในการถ่ายทอดบทเพลง ครูพินิจเป็นผู้พิจารณาว่าผู้เรียนแต่ละคนเหมาะสมกับบทเพลงใด สำหรับหลักการถ่ายทอดทักษะการบรรเลงเดี่ยวระนาดเอกของครูพินิจ ฉายสุวรรณ มี 3 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) สอนตามสติปัญญาและความสามารถ 2) เน้นเรื่องรสมือของผู้เรียนที่ควรเป็นไปตามธรรมชาติของแต่ละคน 3) เน้นการบรรเลงที่ถูกต้องชัดเจนไพเราะและได้อรรถรสของบทเพลง 2. คู่มือการถ่ายทอดการบรรเลงเดี่ยวระนาดเอกของครูพินิจ ฉายสุวรรณ ศิลปินแห่งชาติ ประกอบด้วย คำชี้แจงในคู่มือ เนื้อหาสาระเกี่ยวกับเนื้อหาที่เป็นความรู้ความเข้าใจในการนำไปถ่ายทอดสำหรับผู้สอน และการนำไปฝึกทักษะการบรรเลงเดี่ยวระนาดเอกสำหรับผู้เรียนตามแนวทางของครูพินิจ ฉายสุวรรณ ศิลปินแห่งชาติ ขั้นตอนการถ่ายทอดและการฝึกทักษะการบรรเลงเดี่ยวระนาด การวัดและประเมินผล และแหล่งอ้างอิง

Most teachers provide feedback for students daily. Whether it be a word of encouragement or a lengthy written comment in the margin of an essay, feedback is essential in first-year writing courses. This study investigates two distinct types of feedback, audio (a subset of oral feedback) and written (marginal comments and end comments). For this analysis, two instructors produced samples of audio feedback for students in their English 101 class sections (39 students total). Tips offered center on classroom discourse, curriculum choices, and potential assignments. In this article, we present tips for creating a thriving undergraduate and graduate communication research lab. Based on our experiences developing and co-directing the Communication and Social Robotics Labs (CSRLs), we offer 10 best practices for acquiring resources and recognition, building a strong lab community, and attaining faculty and student goals for scholarship and beyond. Our overarching approach is framed by Dewey’s (1916) pragmatist educational metaphysic, which stresses student- and subject-centered learning, enlarging experiences, and the co-construction of meaning and knowledge. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to examine how teachers from various levels of technology self-efficacy perceive and implement technology within their specific classroom. Using a qualitative approach, I explored four public schools from a medium to large-sized school district in the Southeastern United States. The Technology Integration Confidence Scale (TICS) was used to purposively select 10 secondary teachers from the west side of Beach County (a pseudonym). In this study we sought to review financial literacy education in the state of Ohio, particularly for students in Akron City School District. We did this by hosting a day-long financial literacy seminar for high school students in partnership with community financial professionals. I used a pre and post survey to measure the change in student comfortability with financial topics from the beginning of the day to the end. I found that with exposure students become more comfortable with critical financial topics.

Service-learning combines the learning goals of a course with service to the community. Through service-learning, students engage in action and reflect on their experiences in order to connect what they see and do in the community with what they are learning in their courses. Whether service-learning projects account for part of a course or an entire course is centered on service-learning, service-learning works because it connects theory with practice. Service-learning is an important pedagogy because it offers students a chance to do meaningful work that helps their community and teaches them the importance of civic engagement.

As a pedagogy, service-learning connects students with the community while focusing on course outcomes. The community becomes a live text for reflection and enriches students’ experiences they otherwise would not have in the classroom. This article provides tips and strategies for implementing service-learning in the classroom. This essay explores unique practices for teaching relational ethics through storytelling. Drawing from my experiences teaching an advanced undergraduate Narrative Ethics seminar, I explain how my students responded to a storytelling unit through which they examined their values and storytelling ethics. This qualitative research study illuminates the experiences affecting first-year Chinese international students in the United States and gives insights as to how these students perceive interpersonal relationships at college. Participants shared reports of neo-racism and othering as negatively affecting their feelings of connection to other members of their collegiate community. Findings and implications from this study indicate a need for better support for first-year Chinese international students in college.

Schools should be safe and supportive spaces for all students, yet Black students tend to face biased treatment in the education system, which often results in harsh disciplinary measures. This research examined the role of animalistic dehumanization (i.e., perceiving others as animal-like and uncultured and denying uniquely human characteristics), in predicting choice of harsher disciplinary measures for Black students as opposed to White students. It was hypothesized that individuals who dehumanize Black students to a greater degree would be more likely to believe that Black students need to be disciplined through harsher measures. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1. ศึกษาสภาพการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เปียโนสำหรับนักเรียนที่มีภาวะออทิซึม 2. นำเสนอแนวทางการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เปียโนสำหรับนักเรียนที่มีภาวะออทิซึม ใช้ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยมีกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลประกอบด้วย 1) ครูผู้สอนเปียโนสำหรับนักเรียนที่มีภาวะออทิซึม จำนวน 5 ท่าน 2) ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิทางด้านดนตรีสำหรับนักเรียนที่มีความต้องการจำเป็นพิเศษ จำนวน 1 ท่าน 3) นักเรียนที่มีภาวะออทิซึมที่เรียนเปียโน จำนวน 5 ท่าน 4) ผู้ปกครองของนักเรียนที่มีภาวะออทิซึมที่ผู้วิจัยได้เก็บข้อมูล จำนวน 5 ท่าน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์ปลายเปิด จำนวน 3 ชุด และแบบสังเกต จำนวน 1 ชุด ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. สภาพการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เปียโนสำหรับนักเรียนที่มีภาวะออทิซึม ครูผู้สอนส่วนใหญ่ใช้หลักการปรับเปลี่ยนวิธีการเรียนการสอนให้เหมาะสมกับนักเรียนแต่ละคน 2. แนวทางการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เปียโนสำหรับนักเรียนที่มีภาวะออทิซึม ประกอบด้วย 5 ประเด็น คือ 1) ด้านวัตถุประสงค์ ต้องคำนึงถึงการพัฒนาและเพิ่มพูนองค์ความรู้ทางดนตรี เชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้ทางดนตรีกับทักษะปฏิบัติเปียโน อีกทั้งส่งเสริมและพัฒนาด้านพัฒนาการ 2) ด้านเนื้อหา แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านองค์ประกอบดนตรี วรรณคดีดนตรี และทักษะดนตรี 3) ด้านกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอน ครูผู้สอนควรใช้รูปแบบการนำเสนอและวิธีการตอบสนองของนักเรียนที่หลากหลาย มีการปรับระดับการมีส่วนร่วมในชั้นเรียนและปรับเปลี่ยนระยะเวลาการทำงานของนักเรียนตามความเหมาะสม รวมไปถึงครูผู้สอนต้องมีความสามารถในการจัดการชั้นเรียน 4) ด้านสื่อการสอน ครูผู้สอนควรเลือกสื่อการสอนที่มีความหลากหลาย โดยสามารถประยุกต์สิ่งของอุปกรณ์เสริมพัฒนาการและของเล่น อีกทั้งควรเลือกหนังสือจากหลักสูตรที่มีมาตราฐานผ่านการยอมรับจากสถาบันต่าง ๆ ให้เหมาะสมกับความสามารถของนักเรียน 5) ด้านการวัดและการประเมินผล ครูผู้สอนควรวัดและประเมินผลทั้งด้านวิชาการและพัฒนาการของนักเรียนด้วยวิธีการที่หลากหลาย อีกทั้งควรวัดและประเมินผลประสิทธิภาพของการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เปียโนอยู่เสมอ เพื่อนำมาปรับปรุงและพัฒนาการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เปียโนให้เหมาะสมต่อไป

Mentoring, coaching, and advising are often confused as similar interactions with developmental intent, yet their scope, purpose, and utility in leadership development are distinct. The purpose of this chapter is to provide clarity as to what constitutes mentoring, coaching, and advising for leadership development and to compare and contrast each relationship type.

Developing the “whole” student often requires identifying unique needs and helping students recognize when they need mentoring, coaching, and/or advising. การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษา รวบรวม และวิเคราะห์ชีวประวัติของครูไพฑูรย์ จรรย์นาฏย์ 2) ศึกษากระบวนการถ่ายทอดการบรรเลงระนาดเอกของครูไพฑูรย์ จรรย์นาฏย์ วิธีดำเนินการวิจัยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลภาคสนาม โดยการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการตีความและสร้างข้อสรุปแบบอุปนัย นำเสนอผลการวิจัยเป็นความเรียง ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ชีวประวัติของครูไพฑูรย์ จรรย์นาฏย์ ประกอบด้วย 4 ด้าน (1) ข้อมูลทั่วไป เป็นบุตรของครูเพชร จรรย์นาฏย์ กับนางปริก จรรย์นาฏย์ เกิดเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2460 สมรสกับนางสังวาลย์ จรรย์นาฏย์ และนางทองหยด จรรย์นาฏย์ มีบุตรธิดารวม 15 คน (2) การศึกษา ศึกษาวิชาสามัญจากวังบูรพาภิรมย์ ศึกษาวิชาดนตรีกับครูเพชร จรรย์นาฏย์ และครูหลวงประดิษฐไพเราะ (ศร ศิลปบรรเลง) (3) การทำงาน รับราชการเป็นมหาดเล็กนักดนตรีไทยของวังบางคอแหลมและวังลดาวัลย์ และจัดตั้งสำนักปี่พาทย์ครูไพฑูรย์ จรรย์นาฏย์ รับงานบรรเลงดนตรีไทย และสอนดนตรีไทย (4) ผลงาน ประกอบด้วย ผลงานการประพันธ์เพลงทั่วไปและเพลงเดี่ยว การบรรเลงในโอกาสสำคัญ ผลงานการประชันปี่พาทย์ และผลงานการปรับวงปี่พาทย์ 2) กระบวนการถ่ายทอดการบรรเลงระนาดเอก ประกอบด้วย 4 ด้าน (1) ครู เป็นผู้ที่มีองค์ความรู้ทั้งทางทฤษฎีและปฏิบัติ สามารถเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีให้กับลูกศิษย์ มีจิตวิทยาในการสอน และมีคุณธรรมจริยธรรม (2) ผู้เรียน มีคุณสมบัติของนักดนตรีที่ดี มีทักษะในการบรรเลงระนาดเอกขั้นสูง (3) เนื้อหาสาระ มีการเรียงลำดับบทเพลงในการสอนเป็นหมวดหมู่ ทางเพลงที่ใช้สอนคือทางครูเพชร จรรย์นาฏย์ ทางครูไพฑูรย์ จรรย์นาฏย์ และทางครูหลวงประดิษฐไพเราะ (ศร ศิลปบรรเลง) (4) การจัดการเรียนการสอน ยึดหลักการสอนตามความสามารถของผู้เรียน ใช้วิธีการสอนทางตรง การสอนทางอ้อม และการสอนให้เกิดการเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์ เทคนิคการสอนคือการเสริมแรง ระยะเวลาในการสอนยืดหยุ่นตามบริบทของผู้เรียน สถานที่ในการสอนคือสำนักปี่พาทย์ครูไพฑูรย์ จรรย์นาฏย์ วัดและประเมินผลโดยวิธีการสังเกต

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) วิเคราะห์คุณลักษณะและผลิตชุดการสอนกีตาร์ไฟฟ้าออนไลน์ด้วยวิธีการเลียนแบบสำหรับผู้เรียนระดับชั้นต้นฉบับนำร่อง 2) พัฒนาชุดการสอนกีตาร์ไฟฟ้าออนไลน์ด้วยวิธีการเลียนแบบสำหรับผู้เรียนระดับชั้นต้นฉบับสมบูรณ์ การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยและพัฒนา โดยใช้การสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ คือ ผู้สอน ผู้ผลิตสื่อ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านกีตาร์ไฟฟ้า และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการผลิตสื่อ ในประเด็น 1) แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับวิธีการสอนออนไลน์ 2) แนวคิดการผลิตสื่อ 3) แนวทางการพัฒนาชุดการสอนกีตาร์ไฟฟ้าออนไลน์ ใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ใช้การตีความและสร้างข้อสรุปแบบอุปนัย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ชุดการสอนออนไลน์ที่เหมาะสมในการให้ผู้เรียนได้ปฏิบัติตามควรมีส่วนประกอบที่สำคัญ 5 ประการ ดังนี้ 1) ด้านผู้สอน ใช้การแต่งกายและภาษาที่มีความสุภาพเป็นกันเอง 2) ด้านการสอน ใช้วิธีการสาธิตและการบรรยาย 3) ด้านเนื้อหาสาระ เน้นตามความสนใจของผู้เรียน โดยแบ่งออกเป็นเทคนิคการเล่นและทฤษฎีดนตรี 4) ด้านองค์ประกอบสื่อมัลติมีเดีย ควรมีองค์ประกอบทางภาพและเสียงที่มีความคมชัด มีการใช้กราฟิกช่วยเพิ่มความน่าสนใจ และ 5) ด้านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ เป็นเครื่องมือที่ทำหน้าที่ในการเชื่อมต่อระหว่างบุคคลที่มีความสนใจกับชุดการสอนที่ตรงความต้องการผู้เรียน สำหรับกระบวนการผลิตชุดการสอนฉบับนำร่องประกอบด้วย 3 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นเตรียมการผลิต ขั้นการผลิตรายการ และขั้นหลังการผลิต 2. ในการพัฒนาชุดการสอนฉบับสมบูรณ์ได้ข้อค้นพบที่สำคัญว่า ผู้สอนควรให้ข้อสังเกตไว้ในขั้นนำ มีการยกตัวอย่างประกอบและสาธิตการเล่นไปพร้อมกับเมโทรโนม ควรสอดแทรกเนื้อหาเรื่องพื้นฐานที่มีความจำเป็นในการนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ไว้ในบทเพลงท่อนที่สอน ในการถ่ายทำควรใช้กล้องวิดีโออย่างน้อย 2 ตัว เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนเห็นทั้งมือซ้ายและมือขวาของผู้สอนได้อย่างชัดเจน

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการถ่ายทอดการประพันธ์เพลงไทยตามแนวทางของพันโทเสนาะ หลวงสุนทร ศิลปินแห่งชาติ สาขาศิลปะการแสดง (ดนตรีไทย) โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการศึกษาเอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการตีความ สร้างข้อสรุปแบบอุปนัย และนำเสนอเป็นความเรียง ผลการวิจัยพบว่ากระบวนการถ่ายทอดการประพันธ์เพลงไทยตามแนวทางของพันโทเสนาะ หลวงสุนทร แบ่งออกเป็นด้าน ดังนี้ ด้านผู้สอน พันโทเสนาะ หลวงสุนทร กำเนิดในครอบครัวดนตรีไทยได้รับการถ่ายทอดดนตรีจากครูดนตรีที่เชี่ยวชาญ และมีประสบการณ์ดนตรีที่หลากหลาย ส่งผลให้พันโทเสนาะ หลวงสุนทร มีความเชี่ยวชาญดนตรีไทย การประพันธ์เพลงไทย และสามารถถ่ายทอดได้เป็นอย่างดียิ่ง ทำให้ให้ผู้เรียนมีการพัฒนาทักษะการประพันธ์เพลงไทยอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ พันโทเสนาะ หลวงสุนทร มีคุณลักษณะของครูที่ดีตรงตามพระราชดำรัสของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวรัชกาลที่ 9 คือ 1) มีปัญญาความรู้ดีในหลักวิชาอันถูกต้อง 2) ประพฤติดี มีความสุจริต เมตตากรุณา ปรารถนาดีต่อผู้อื่น และ 3) มีความสามารถที่จะเผื่อแผ่และถ่ายทอดความรู้ได้อย่างดี ด้านผู้เรียน ต้องมีพื้นฐานดนตรีไทยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการประพันธ์เพลงไทย และสามารถอ่านเขียนโน้ตแบบดนตรีตะวันตกได้ดี ด้านสาระมี 3 ส่วนดังนี้ 1) ความสำคัญและวัตถุประสงค์ของการประพันธ์เพลงไทย 2) ความรู้พื้นฐานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการประพันธ์เพลงไทย และ 3) แนวคิดการประพันธ์เพลงไทย คือ ประพันธ์ตามขนบแบบโบราณ ประพันธ์ตามแรงบันดาลใจ และประพันธ์ด้วยความคิดสร้างสรรค์ มีหลักการประพันธ์ 13 แบบดังนี้ (1) การประดิษฐ์มือฆ้องอิสระ (2) การประดิษฐ์ทางพื้น (3) การประดิษฐ์ทางกรอหรือบังคับทาง (4) การยึดลูกตก (5) การประดิษฐ์ทางเปลี่ยน (6) การยืดขยายตัดยุบ (7) การยืดยุบพร้อมเปลี่ยนทาง (8) การยืดทำนองเฉพาะลูกเท่าและลูกโยน (9) การประดิษฐ์ลูกล้อลูกขัดและลูกเหลื่อม (10) การประพันธ์เพลงในโครงสร้างหน้าทับสองไม้หรือหน้าทับทยอย (11) ประพันธ์เพลงให้เป็นเพลงสำเนียงภาษา (12) การใช้และการย้ายบันไดเสียง และ (13) การประพันธ์ทางเดี่ยว ด้านการสอน สอนด้วยวิธีการบรรยายควบคู่กับการให้ผู้เรียนฝึกปฏิบัติ มีเทคนิคการสอนกระตุ้นให้เกิดความคิดสร้างสรรค์ เน้นทักษะพิสัยด้วยการฝึกหัดการประพันธ์เพลงไทย โดยมีการประเมินผลก่อนเรียน ในระหว่างเรียน และหลังจากเรียนครบตามเนื้อหาสาระ ด้วยวิธีการแสดงผลงานเพลงที่ประพันธ์ขึ้นใหม่

Succeed Together!) controlled 8-week peer-led stealth intervention on school connectedness and physical activity self-efficacy(PASE). The collection covers Western Civilization, World History, and American History, which includes ancient to modern historical topics. There are three boxes of 35mm slides, each arranged by historical category. The lids of the boxes have color coded diagrams to the slides.

The present study was designed to determine the correlation between a commonly used cognitive ability test (i.e., Wechsler) and a verbal memory test (i.e., Rey Auditory-Verbal Learning Test) by analyzing archival data from a clinical sample of adults. Many researchers have continued to establish the relationship between cognitive ability, or IQ, and learning and memory skills; however, there is little research regarding when differences between IQ and memory scores are statistically significant. Results of this study indicated 17 of 20 IQ index/memory correlations were statistically significant and a series of simple regressions generated standardized residuals. Our study details the development of the Positive Youth Development Sustainability Scale, a self-reporting tool to assess the impacts of positive youth development (PYD) programs.
