The use of natural materials is a creative and innovative process to increase the potential of the surrounding environment, such as the use of natural dyes. As rambutan skin has been rarely used and reported as a natural dye, this study explores its usage on leather. In this study, we applied rambutan skin as a natural dye to tanned leather from goat crust skin using the creative eco-printing method. The idea of speaking skills is interconnected with the environment and social context of students poses new challenges by students from ethnic minorities in English language learning. These factors encompass the hindrances and the success of ethnic minority students in adjusting themselves in speaking classes. From 95 first-year students in English Language Teaching program, 18 of them have different minor ethnicities. This study adopted a qualitative study by using semi-structured interviews as an instrument of research. The study investigates the roles of images and intermodal relationships of both language and images in two English textbooks used in Vietnamese lower secondary schools, namely Tieng Anh and Solutions textbooks to gain insights on the ways to optimise the use of both language and images as resources in teaching and learning activities. This paper critically examines how contemporary Singaporean writers use language in verse, that is poetry, to make vivid representations of Singapore as a nation and discursively construct the social notion of the country's national identity. Utilizing Wodak's (2001) Discourse-Historical framework, this paper reveals how the two authors use some common discursive strategies, mainly representational and predicational, in making explicit representations of Singapore and creating a strong sense of national identity. This study investigates the speaking anxiety levels of EFL students enrolled in English medium classes (EMI) in a private university. Factors causing students’ speaking anxiety and potential strategies to reduce the speaking anxiety were also examined. Eighty-nine EMI students from ten undergraduate study programs were the respondents of this study. Data were collected by using Horwitz et al.’s (1986) anxiety survey. Findings showed that EMI students exhibited low-level English-speaking anxiety. The cross-tabulation data demonstrated that students perceived comprehension apprehension as the paramount anxiety factor. This study aims to trace the early history of the Bimanese to identify the weaving and its 10 motifs defined in the Bima Land Customary Law as part of the Bima ethnic characteristics. Due to a shortage of BIPA local teachers, the Department of Education and Training Victoria had recruited language assistants from Indonesia. This study is aimed to describe the required skillsets of BIPA language assistants to support their duties. This case study aims to find out how teachers of the International Class Program at an elementary school in Malang incorporated critical thinking (CT) pedagogy in teaching subjects with English as a Medium of Instruction. Eighteen teachers filled in an online questionnaire, and two of them were interviewed. Analysis of one pre-recorded video for English class (lasted for 13 minutes) and one video of Math class delivered through Zoom meeting (lasted for 29 minutes) was done to investigate how teachers triggered students’ thinking in the classroom practice. The objective of this study is to look at learning indicators and contextualize extrinsic and intrinsic components in three Indonesian language textbooks for elementary school students. This study employs a qualitative research approach with a content analysis design to attain this purpose. The findings show that textbooks only use one learning indicator for each short story, although intrinsic (themes, characters, and messages) and extrinsic (social values, moral values, cultural values, and religious values) elements have been effectively balanced in the story. short. Gatholoco is a figure in Serat Gatholoco, a literary work suspected to be written in the early 19th century. The Gatholoco character is said to have a constellation of desires that presents subversive symptoms, positioning Serat Gatholoco as a controversial text at that time. This article examines the editorials in Koran Tempo and Kompas in representing their ideology of COVID-19 handling in Indonesia. This linguistic research is conducted qualitative­ly. The data were in the form of Indonesian-language editorial discourse, which discussed the COVID-19 handling in Indonesia. The written research data were taken from national news­papers, namely Koran Tempo and Kompas, and were obtained through the use of listening and note-taking techniques. They were then analyzed using Van Dijk’s critical discourse analysis model.
