Despite significant advancements in healthcare, pressure injuries continue to be a persistent global healthcare issue, closely linked to the safety of patients, affecting patient outcomes, and increasing healthcare costs (Gaspar et al., 2019). Research has shown that simulation is one method to improve clinical decision-making skills, increase confidence, and decrease anxiety. The purpose of this quality improvement project is to measure participants’ perceptions of their levels of self-confidence and anxiety related to clinical decision-making before and after a simulation session at George Washington University (GWU). The study is a comparison experiment that looks at the different types of interventions to treat chronic pain. This study is set at Haysmed Rehabilitation to gather data on adult patients with chronic pain. When studying the interventions used for chronic pain, we found numerous ways of treatment. They are categorized as pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. During the study we found, that an understanding of what is causing the pain and the use of both interventions is the best way to go about treating/managing chronic pain.

The present study theoretically investigated the effects of long-term use of hormonal birth control on the female cardiovascular and neurologic systems. Flipping the classroom is a lecture style tailored to a variety of student learning styles, and utilizes prerecorded lectures, and participation in projects or discussions during class time. This project explores the implementation of Student Success Coaches at Augusta Technical College (Augusta Tech) and their potential impact on the rates of overall program completion and the rate of diverse student program completion. Framed within the GROW model and Sociocultural Learning Theory, the project aims to determine if coaching interventions address barriers to completion and foster a supportive learning environment. A mixed-methods exploratory approach was employed, combining empirical data such as retention rates and demographics with qualitative information from surveys. This study sought to examine whether the consistent application of a specific placement design to student practice learning experiences within two pre-registration nursing degree programmes offered by a university in the United Kingdom (UK) affected retention and achievement levels. The quantitative analysis involved a sample of 460 employer-sponsored undergraduates, all of whom worked as non-registrant carers, within two cohorts of a part-time adult (physical) or mental health nursing degree programme, both of four years duration, offered by a large academic institution with a presence in all four UK nations. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) (2019) reported in 2018-2019, U.S. nursing schools turned away more than 75,000 qualified applicants from baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs due to insufficient numbers of faculty and clinical sites. Two-thirds of the nursing schools related a shortage of nursing faculty and/or clinical preceptors as a reason for not admitting qualified applicants (AACN, 2019).

Clinical practice are an important component of undergraduate nursing education and involve clinical nurse educators who are primarily responsible for teaching student nurses in that context. Twelve nurse educators who taught in the clinical arena participated in this grounded theory study. These participants taught in a number of undergraduate nursing programs in a large metropolitan city in Ontario, Canada. Faculty learning communities (FLCs), whether they are topic or cohort-based, are a form of professional development that promote scholarship and collegiality among faculty members. This article describes how a number of FLCs were initiated in a Faculty of Nursing (FoN). Members who participated described the FLCs as scholarly, creative and morale enhancing. One of the most significant impacts in the topic-based FLCs was having members create a scholarly product such as articles, letters, theatrical performances, books, faculty modules, briefs and paintings. The purpose of this qualitative study is to examine the effectiveness of an anti-bullying intervention called Cognitive Rehearsal Training (CRT) using a workshop format to increase third year nursing students’ knowledge and confidence to address bullying behaviour. A lanyard card identifying ten common bullying behaviours and possible phrases to stand up to bullying was used as a tool to Stop! The term conceptual understanding was analyzed to determine how educators can help students attain understanding in a concept based curriculum. The investigator sought to establish what salient dimensions and conditions supported conceptual understanding. A dimensional analysis of the term conceptual understanding was employed through a review of the literature in mathematics, science, psychology, and nursing education. The salient dimensions of conceptual understanding were identified as: factual and procedural knowledge, connections, transfer, and metacognition.
