Federal Tenure Denial Litigation Involving Private Colleges And Universities, Robert P. Hamill
Federal Tenure Denial Litigation Involving Private Colleges And Universities, Robert P. Hamill
All-Inclusive List of Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Since 1972, the volume of federal litigation involving faculty and their institutions has escalated. Tenure denial litigation, too, has increased. Prior to 1972, there were no published federal tenure denial decisions involving private colleges and universities. Since 1972, the number of published tenure denial decisions in the private institutional setting has increased steadily. Higher education administrators need to understand the risks that are involved in the tenure review process. These risks include the possibility of a protracted and costly lawsuit. Such a lawsuit could result in having key administrators spend enormous amounts of time preparing for trial and testifying in …

Management Textbooks As Propaganda, Kim S. Cameron, R. Duane Ireland, Robert N. Lussier, J. Randolph New, Stephen P. Robbins
Management Faculty Publications

Do they write to present the theory and research of the academic discipline? Do they write primarily to produce a product that consumers (faculty and students) will buy in sufficient numbers and at a price that will yield financial profit? This article explores these and related questions by asking four well-established management textbook authors - Kim Cameron, Duane Ireland, Bob Lussier, and Steve Rabbins - to react to the metaphor of "management textbooks as propaganda or …

Multi-Phase Homework Assignments In Cs I And Cs Ii, James Huggins
Computer Science Presentations And Conference Materials
ll of the panelists have used small sets of related programming assignments in introductory CS courses. These assignments are essentially larger programs which are developed during several separate phases. This approach has several advantages: • Students are able to develop more realistic and interesting programs. • Students are motivated to write better code as well as documentation. Those who don't are quickly confronted by the implications. • Student interest in completing the projects is better sustained, since there is continuity from one project to the next. • It models desirable techniques such as iterative development and encapsulation. • It demonstrates …

This review was to result in a proposed framework or plan for coordinating and supporting these separate programs.
As a foundation for its deliberations the Task Force was instructed to review several recent reports that address the present and future state of the university. These included: A 2020 Vision, the First Year Learning Task Force Report (1999), the …
