PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate student feedback of the 2015 Lifelines Suicide Prevention Program at Jessie Clark Middle School. Student feedback was examined by assessing students’ knowledge of suicide, attitudes toward suicide, knowledge of when and from whom to seek help if feeling suicidal or told by a friend that they are suicidal, and impressions of the educational presentation following participation in the Lifelines Suicide Prevention Program.

This paper explores possible correlation between Therapeutic Breathing Techniques (TBT) and improved academic performance of low achieving students in elementary school. The intervention consisted of daily breathing exercises combining two forms of TBT, namely, deep breathing and alternate nostril breathing. A semester-long quantitative study with 85 second graders was conducted to investigate the impact of above intervention on English and mathematics scores. Following one semester of intervention, the gaps between the low and high achievers had narrowed and small but significant gain-scores were found for the low achievers who had practiced TBT. This study examined the sources cited by sixth grade who had been exposed to multiple sources pertaining to a historical topic. The purpose of this study was to determine whether students exhibited a preference for specific types of sources when constructing and demonstrating knowledge about historic events, figures, or a specific time period. A total of 46 students participated in the study which extended over eight class periods of approximately 50 minutes each. The purpose of this mixed methods, single subject quasi-experimental study was to measure if an adaptation to a group-based contingency intervention, known as the Good Behavior Game, lead to decreases in off-task behaviors for first-grade students with disabilities during whole group instruction, and if the classroom teacher viewed the intervention positively. This study explores teachers’ perceptions and motivations, challenges, and needs of 50 teachers in Agusan del Norte, Philippines with regards to doing research. Methodologies used were survey questionnaire, and group and individual interviews. Findings revealed that teacher-respondents had a positive perceptions towards doing research and its benefits to their teaching practice and students’ learning process. Thus, job promotion is the motivating factor why teachers did research. However, reported challenges such as lack of research knowledge and skills, heavy teaching loads, and lack of financial support from the schools obstructed them from doing it. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้คำถามระดับสูงในการสอนอ่านจับใจความที่มีต่อความตระหนักในความเป็นไทยของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็น นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 โรงเรียนสาธิตจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ฝ่ายประถม ภาคการศึกษาต้น ปีการศึกษา 2560 จำนวน 64 คน กลุ่มทดลอง 32 คน กลุ่มควบคุม 32 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้วิชาภาษาไทย สาระการอ่าน โดยใช้คำถามระดับสูง และแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้วิชาภาษาไทย สาระการอ่าน แบบปกติ แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมที่แสดงถึงความตระหนักในความเป็นไทย เป็นลักษณะแบบตรวจสอบรายการ แบบวัดความตระหนักในความเป็นไทย ใช้มาตราวัดอันดับคุณภาพ และแบบวัดความตระหนักในความเป็นไทย มีลักษณะการเขียนเติมประโยคให้สมบูรณ์ โดยคำนวณหาค่าสถิติพื้นฐาน ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และวิเคราะห์โดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติทดสอบค่าที (t-test) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า พบว่า นักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดกิจกรรมการสอนอ่านจับใจความโดยใช้คำถามระดับสูงมีความตระหนักในความเป็นไทยหลังการทดลองสูงกว่านักเรียนได้รับการจัดกิจกรรมการสอนอ่านจับใจความรูปแบบปกติ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพและปัญหาของการนำหลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษาไปใช้ในระดับประถมศึกษา 2) เพื่อสังเคราะห์และนำเสนอแนวทางการใช้หลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ ครูผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่การสอนในโรงเรียนประถมศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน ที่อยู่ในโครงการ ASEAN Learning School จำนวน 151 โรงเรียน จำนวน 302 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ 1) แบบสอบถาม และ 2) แบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล 1) การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากแบบสอบถาม ใช้ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 2) การวิเคราะห์และสรุปผลการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิเกี่ยวกับข้อเสนอแนะในการปรับปรุงแก้ไขแนวทางการใช้หลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษาในโรงเรียนประถมศึกษา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สภาพและปัญหาที่พบในการใช้หลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษา คือ 1) ด้านการเตรียมความพร้อม ครูส่วนใหญ่ยังไม่ได้รับเอกสารประกอบหลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษาจากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ไม่ได้รับสื่อการสอนอาเซียนศึกษาจากหน่วยงานภายนอกโรงเรียน และยังไม่เคยได้รับการอบรมก่อนการนำหลักสูตรไปใช้ 2) ด้านการบริหารหลักสูตร พบปัญหาในการวางแผนการใช้หลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษาล่วงหน้า การดำเนินการตามแผนการใช้หลักสูตร การแบ่งหน้าที่ความรับผิดชอบ การจัดทำแผนการประเมินผลและติดตามผลการใช้หลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษา 3) ด้านการจัดการเรียนการสอน โรงเรียนประถมศึกษามีรูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมในสถานศึกษาที่หลากหลาย และครูใช้วิธีการวัดและประเมินผลที่มีความแตกต่างกัน โดยมีปัญหาเกิดขึ้นในทุก ๆ การปฏิบัติ 4) ด้านการสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมการใช้หลักสูตร ครูส่วนใหญ่ไม่เคยได้รับการอบรมเกี่ยวกับคู่มือการใช้หลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษา เทคนิคและวิธีการสอนอาเซียนศึกษา การจัดทำและแนวทางการใช้สื่อ สำหรับแนวทางการใช้หลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษา ในโรงเรียนประถมศึกษา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า แนวทางการใช้หลักสูตรอาเซียนศึกษาประกอบด้วย 4 ด้าน คือ 1) ด้านการเตรียมความพร้อม 2) ด้านการบริหารหลักสูตร 3) ด้านการจัดกาเรียนการสอน และ 4) ด้านการสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมการใช้หลักสูตร

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสภาพและปัญหาการจัดการเรียนการสอนวิชาภาษาไทยของครูระดับประถมศึกษาที่สำเร็จการศึกษาไม่ตรงวิชาเอก 2) นำเสนอแนวทางในการพัฒนาการจัดการเรียนการสอนวิชาภาษาไทยของครูระดับประถมศึกษาที่สำเร็จการศึกษาไม่ตรงวิชาเอก ผู้วิจัยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากประชากร คือ ครูผู้สอนภาษาไทยระดับประถมศึกษาที่สำเร็จการศึกษาไม่ตรงวิชาเอก สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาปทุมธานี เขต 1 จำนวน 289 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลคือแบบสอบถาม แบบสัมภาษณ์ และแบบสังเกตการจัดการเรียนการสอน ผลการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ใช้การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. สภาพและปัญหาในการจัดการเรียนการสอนวิชาภาษาไทยของครูระดับประถมศึกษาที่สำเร็จการศึกษาไม่ตรงวิชาเอก จังหวัดปทุมธานี พบว่าครูมีการปฏิบัติอยู่ในระดับบางครั้ง (ค่าเฉลี่ย = 2.97) โดยพบปัญหาคือ ครูขาดความชำนาญในการจัดการเรียนการสอนวิชาภาษาไทย และต้องการสื่อที่ใช้ในการสอนภาษาไทย 2. แนวทางในการพัฒนาการจัดการเรียนการสอนวิชาภาษาไทยของครูระดับประถมศึกษาที่สำเร็จการศึกษาไม่ตรงวิชาเอก คือ 1)การเริ่มต้นพัฒนาตนเองโดยครูผู้สอนต้องตระหนักถึงความรับผิดชอบและหน้าที่ของตนเอง และศึกษาค้นคว้าเพิ่มเติม 2) การได้รับการสนับสนุนจากผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาทั้งด้านสื่อการสอน การนิเทศติดตาม การส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ 3) การได้รับการสนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในการจัดอบรมเกี่ยวกับการสอนภาษาไทย

The present study identifies reading instructional practices used in upper elementary classrooms during the age of high-stakes test accountability and compares reading practices among schools of varying accreditation status and socio-economic status (SES). The current study partially replicates and extends a study conducted by Baumann, Hoffman, Duffy-Hester, and Ro in 2000. The Baumann et al. This review examined the academic benefits of using inquiry-based science instruction in elementary classrooms. It also examined different ways teachers integrate inquiry-based instruction. Several studies identified increases in science content knowledge, concepts, and process skills as outcomes associated with inquiry-based instruction. Other studies in this review showed mixed or negative results for academic benefits of inquiry-instruction. This review also highlights hands-on investigations, discourse, and literacy as three ways teachers integrate inquiry. Findings of this review suggest inquiry-based instruction allows students to understand difficult science concepts, justify their ideas, and can create positive attitudes toward science.

In this qualitative research study, I investigated how vocabulary instruction takes place in two fifth-grade classrooms from both teachers’ and students’ perspectives. Academic self-efficacy has been positively related to academic achievement in previous studies with middle school, high school, and undergraduate students. This small-scale study investigated the relationship between student reading self-efficacy and student reading achievement with second grade students in central Montana. Participating students completed a Reading Self-Efficacy Questionnaire and benchmark assessments for reading.
