This thesis is an outline of the process and procedure in collecting information and developing a slide-tape series on hydroelectric generation and transmission of electricity. It includes some of the analysis involved in selection of the materials and media, along with a basic discussion of how it may be used by an instructor or individual students. It also includes a statement of problems involved in the gathering of materials and selection of correct slides to fit the requirements of the script.

Today is an era of rapid social and technical change and the schools are faced with the problem of keeping pace to meet the challenge. This means that education must rely more and more upon new methods and innovations. In this paper, these new techniques used in teaching shall be referred to as curriculum change. A curriculum change might occur in one specific learning area, or it could be a reorganization of the entire instructional program. Experiments have shown that television's potential as an important educational resource and tool is unlimited and, as yet, only the surface has been scratched. In fact, the realm of interaction has broadened through classroom viewing to the extent that a new and complete evaluation of the relationship between the student and teacher must be made.
