Problem-solving skills are important for students to cope with rapid changes in society and supported by technological advances. Problem-solving skills that students have especially in Newton's Law materials need to be improved so that it becomes like an expert problem solver. Therefore, SSCS problem solving research with CPS is done to determine its effect on problem solving skills. This research uses one group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that the learning model has an influence on problem-solving skills with strong effectiveness, but the improvement of problem solving skills is still low.

The purpose of this research is to describe the mathematical communication of theoritist student in SMP Negeri 5 Malang in solving similarity problem. Subject of this research is one theoritist students. The indicators of mathematical communication that used in this research are adapted from the NCTM indicator then combined to the four Polya's steps. The results of this research show that the subject’s mathematical communication structure tends to be complete. The aim of this research is to describe the students’ errors in solving system of equations in three variable problems based on Newman’s Error Analysis. Research subject is students grade X Madrasah Aliyah Al Irtiqo’ who make errors in solving SPLTV problems. The method of this research is test and interviews. The development of project-based learning design with the LEAD series (Listen, Explore, Analyze and Do) aided the schoology to answer the problems of the subjects of workshop and entrepreneurship which aimed to print the students as entrepreneur owner. The research method used to develop the learning design is Dick, Carey and Carey (2015). The research is a quasi experiment that aims to determine the problem solving ability of students who learn with Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and conventional. PjBL can increase problem solving abilities of students. Data analysis was obtained from students' pretest and post test results using SPSS. Based on the analysis of one path anova obtained F-count 168.86 with P-value (0.000 <0.05) which means there is a very significant difference of problem-solving ability between experiment class and control class. The average score of experimental class problem-solving abilities is higher than the control class. Students are still having difficulties at the Specific Application of Physics and Logical Progression.

This study aims to find out the effect of PBL with procedural scaffolding toward high-order thinking skills in terms of students' high and low ability. This research used non equivalent control group design with 34 students of experimental class and 35 students of control class. The hypothesis test of this study used Two-Way ANOVA and showed that the effect of PBL with procedural scaffolding was 42.5%, while the effect of students' initial ability was 37.9%. The mean posttest grade of the experimental class is higher than the control class, indicating that PBL with procedural scaffolding affects students' high-order thinking skill.

This study aims to describe mastery of high school students concept on static fluid material. The method used is descriptive analysis. Data were taken from 69 students of MAN 1 Tulungagung 12th grade. The instrument consists of nine items of multiple choice test with reason. The result of the analysis shows that the students' mastery of concept on static fluid material is good with average value of 63.45. Students have some difficulty especially at the hydrostatic pressure of a system that has different room. Almost students are difficult when comparing the bouyant force an object under different conditions.

Creative thinking skills can develop well through Project Based Learning (PjBL). The purpose of this study was export student’s creative thinking skills in PjBL on static fluid materials. The subjects were 32 students of XMIPA D2 SMAN 9 Malang. The research method used was Mixed Methods Embedded Experimental Model. The results: (1) there were differences student’s creative thinking skill before and after PjBL on static fluid material significantly; (2) students’s creative thinking skill have a positive change when posttest with increasing percentage of achievement of indicator of creative thinking skill consist of elaboration, originality, fluency, and flexibility.

This study aimed to describe the ability of multilateral FD students to solve the problem of Pythagoras and its scaffolding. The data collection begins with GEFT and test 1. The subject's examination process is analyzed based on the SOLO taxonomy to see its level of ability. The results showed that the ability of multistructural level FD subjects could use some of the information provided for problem solving, but the answer given was not accurate. Scaffolding efforts to increase the level of FD students' ability from multistructural level to relational level consist of reviewing, restructuring, and developing contextual thinking.

Motivation to learn is the driving or moving of someone to learn. Motivation to learn can come from within from the stimulation of the surrounding environment. Master’s actions are one of the forms of learning that comes from environmental stimuli. This study aims to determine the relationship of learning with learning achievement, teacher learning with learning achievement, and learning with teachers and learning achievement at SDN 029 Tarakan. This type of research is a quantitative research. The result showed there was a very strong relationship between learning motivation and teacher action with learning achievement.

Mathematical connection is used for problem solving. Students’ mathematical connection can be viewed while solving word problems. This study aims to describe mathematical connection process of junior high school student in solving word problems. The type of this study is a case study. Student’s connection data was collected by using test and interview. Furthermore, students’ mathematical connection process was analyzed based on three types of connection; modelling connection, concept connection, and procedure connection. This research aims to describe students’ achievement in solving word problem based on the students’ ability to make multiple representations. The objective of this study is to ascertain the effectiveness of ctitical thingking skills (KBK) dan Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) students taught using GDL (Guided Discovery Learning) dan Problem Solving on acid base material. The samples of the study were two classes of eleventh grade at SMAN 5 Banjarmasin. Two tests, Watson-Glases critical thingking test and HOTS test developed by the reasercher were empolyed on those classes as the instruments to obtain the data needed. The purpose of this study was to describe students’ concept mastery on Archimedes’ principle. The method of this study was descriptive method. The instrument of concept mastery test of this study was consisted of 4 essay questions with reliability Cronbach’s alpha 0.67. This study was the study case in one of class in SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi.
