This study aims to recognize the dominant soft skills factors that influence the readiness of vocational education graduates to enter the job market in the field of construction. The method used is survey study including samples that consisted of 40 workers graduated from State University of Medan civil engineering diploma 3. The instruments used were the soft skills and the competence readiness questionnaire with reliability coefficients of 0.93 and 0.98. Furthermore, the multiple regression analysis techniques is used to test the hypothesis. Dual coding theory (DCT) allows students to process information based on stimuli in the form of visual-verbal signals. This study aims to measure the relationship between the implementation of DCT on the process of Teaching & Learning. An experimental approach involving 101 students was used. The results showed that the DCT theoretical approach can be used to improve the language learning process. The research findings also showed that the learning strategies correlation coefficient is positive 0.826** which means that DCT has a very strong relationship with learning outcomes. In response to the implementation of Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn)- Kampus Merdeka (Independent Campus), this study aimed to investigate the perceived impacts of Freedom to Learn-Independent Campus (henceforth FLIC), on pre-service Teacher Professional Identity (henceforth, TPI) development. The ICT advancement provokes the possibility of developing speaking skill through portfolio assessment which was commonly attributable mostly to writing skill. Hence, an exploratory study adopting ADDIE model was conducted to develop an electronic portfolio assessment integrated into teaching materials. A triangulated technique of data collection: questionnaire respondents, interviews and data from evaluation sheets was gathered. Statistical descriptive analysis, discourse and content analysis were conducted and positive possibilities were found to ffacilitate the development of speaking skills through electronic portfolio assessment.

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the level of conformity and diversity of development indicators of competency achievement in Indonesian high school BSE with critical thinking aspects emphasized by the Directorate. The focus of this research is to understand how the teachers’ beliefs that the teachers have before they teaching speaking class. Moreover, the teacher will teach with a method whereas the teachers and students only using internet to connected with each other by using laptops. The data were collected by using questionnaire, observation and interview. In order to understand this research mixed method research is used to analyze the data. The result shows that teachers’ beliefs that the teachers have is in line with the actual practice in the classroom.

This paper examined the effectiveness of Twitter to enhance the students’ vocabulary achievement, because vocabulary is considered to have an important role in increasing students’ academic achievement and skills. It employed a quasi-experimental design and involved 64 students which divided into control and experimental group. The findings of the research discovered that both of group increased their achievement; however the students in experimental group get higher score than control group. The students in the control group were categorized as students with “good” achievement, while the students in the experimental were students with “very good” achievement.

This study aimed to find out learners’ attitude and motivation toward online English learning during COVID-19 outbreak. Eight first graders were involved in an interview session to reveal their perspectives through metaphor. The results of metaphor analysis showed that the learners have low motivation and attitude although they tend to get good score in English subject. Due to many obstacles in its implementation, students, teacher, and parents hope that the English teaching and learning activities can be done face-to-face completely to result in effective learning process.

The purpose of this study is to investigate effect of the Argument Driven Inquiry model on the scientific argumentation skills of 11th grade students in terms of goal orientation. A quasi-experimental research design is a 2 x 2 factorial. The study involved an experimental group (ADI) and a control group (Inquiry) each consisting of 34 students. This study aims to present the use of Portfolios to develop independent learning and student understanding: forms, uses, and results. Portfolios can increase students’ understanding of lectures and foster student responsibility in completing a particular job. Researchers used a qualitative approach through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that learning with portfolios in the form of summaries and concept maps is then presented in three languages, namely Arabic, English, and Indonesian in ten minutes for each language. By using a portfolio, students are not only independent and understand in learning but also practice language skills.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the principal's learning leadership in implementing digital school policies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a constant comparative multi-site design to reveal the focus of the research at SMPN 1 Sumenep and SMPN 1 Ambunten. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the school principal is in the implementation of digital school policies at the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This study aims to find out the misconceptions experienced by students during the learning process using think aloud protocol (TAP) and physics multiple choice tests (TPGF) on hydrostatic pressure materials. This research design uses mixed method design with embedded experimental design. Quantitative data is obtained through N-gain calculations that show a high category with a score of 0.7. This indicates that there is a significant change in the mastery of the student's hydrostatic pressure concept after learning activities. The research purpose is to analyse the needs of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematic (STEM)-based science practicum books for secondary school. This is descriptive qualitative research with questionnaire and interview methods. The sample of this research were secondary school science teacher and students. The data were analysed descriptively with the results of data processing in percent (%). The results showed that 98% of secondary school science teachers did not know that STEM-based practicum activities could train 21st century students' skills and 90% of secondary school students stated that they never carried out practicum activities other than laboratory activities. Professional development (PD) is not just a short involvement but a long Abstract: Professional development (PD) is not just a short involvement but a long process starting from teacher training at university and going on throughout the working life of the individuals. In the 21st Century education, the 6 competencies are necessarily integrated into the classroom remembering the importance to complete students with better competencies. In line with the 6Cs integration, teachers’ challenges and solutions also need to be known. This study investigates English teachers’ challenges in integrating 6Cs of the 21st Century education into English integrated skills, and their solutions to cope with the challenges. The qualitative study aims to look into the patterns and characteristics of interaction in an online speaking course. This research was conducted at Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta's Oral English for Daily Communication Class of the Applied English Study Program. The researcher observed the online learning sessions to learn about the online teaching and learning process synchronously on Google Meet.
