The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study is to understand perseverance in young single mothers who have earned a college degree. The theory guiding this study is Duckworth’s theory of grit since many students who complete undergraduate degrees experience barriers related to the components of grit. Participants for this study were single mothers who have completed a college degree from an institution of higher learning in central Pennsylvania by the age of thirty. Data for the study were collected utilizing one-on-one interviews, personal timelines, and focus group discussions. Little is known about how male and female middle-level leaders in schools of music come into their leadership roles, how they distribute their time among responsibilities, and how the distribution of time or other factors impact their professional identities, creative activities, and job satisfaction. Quantitative, self-reported survey data collected on music leaders in large schools of music and qualitative data collected from a panel discussion with representative leaders were used to analyze the five research questions in this explanatory sequential mixed-methods study. This paper describes a content analysis used to examine educational doctoral degrees (EdD) dissertations in a U.S. university. The purpose of the study was to get a better understanding of the validation techniques utilized in dissertations published by EdD students. Forty-nine dissertations were selected and examined for research methodologies, research design, and elements of vigorous validation techniques. The most frequently found methodology was quantitative (n = 30; 61.22%) followed by qualitative (n = 13; 26.53%). Purpose: The rate of infant mortality serves as a crucial indicator of the overall health of society (CDC, 2022). The five leading causes of infant mortality are birth defects, preterm birth, sudden infant death syndrome, injuries, and maternal pregnancy complications. The prevalence of infant mortality varies across states, with eastern states and minority-ethnicity infants having higher prevalence. This thesis proposes utilizing the Safe to Sleep framework to introduce Giving Breath, a public health education campaign that introduced breastfeeding as an intervention to Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID).

This study investigated the perceptions of heads of schools from accredited schools concerning whether the accreditation process, as prescribed by the League of Christian Schools (LCS), leads to improvement in leadership capacity and the impact of instruction on the learning environment. This study focuses on Black diasporic women faculty’s framings of themselves and their experiences and roles in the U.S. academy, as well as the dynamics among Afro-Caribbean women faculty, Black Caribbean American women faculty, and African American women faculty, bringing to light the ways in which whiteness has sub/un/consciously mediated their relationships. Using Intersectionality as a framework and Critical Narrative Inquiry (i.e., blurring biographical and arts-informed narrative inquiry) as a methodological approach, 14 found poems, highlighting various resonant portions of collaborators’ stories, were included as findings.
