The purpose ofthis study was to determine the leadership profile ofCSAOs at CCCU institutions and to determine whether multiframing was predictive of effectiveness as a manager and as a leader. Additionally, this study sought to determine if any particular frame was predictive of effectiveness as a manager and as a leader. The purpose of this study was to explore the persistence strategies used by Black men attending a predominantly White institution (PWI), classified as sophomore, junior and senior. In order to determine these persistence strategies, a phenomenology qualitative research approach was selected. The selection of the participants of this study was accomplished utilizing network sampling. A total of six Black men participated. The purpose of this descriptive/causal-comparative study was to determine if relationships existed between individual personality types as determined by the Do What You Are (DWYA) on-line personality inventory and gender, ethnicity, area of academic study, entering and exiting grade point averages (GPA), and time to degree completion of undergraduate students at the case study institution.

Data were collected over a six year period by the institution's career development center. The student respondents were undergraduates and were self-selected to take the inventory. The sample included 2, 533 undergraduate students surveyed between 2003 and 2007.

Faculty demographics are changing radically as the professorate ages and “the first 77 million baby boomers turn 60 next January.” (Friedman and Moen 2005). The impact of this demographic shift was described by the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges (2000), when they projected that by 2010, more than 30,000 full-time and part-time faculty will be replaced.
