Performance-based assessment (PBA) is different from traditional testing methods in that PBA presents real-life problems for students to solve by integrating critical thinking with their content knowledge and skills. Implementing PBA regularly in mathematics classes is associated with improved student achievement and motivation to learn; however, there are concerns about the general lack of psychometric data to support the use of performance assessments. To address such concerns, this study applied item response theory to estimate the difficulty and discrimination indices of items that comprised a newly developed mathematics PBA. The purpose of this manuscript is to detail pre- and post- changes that occurred after a principal, Dr. D, was moved from one middle school to another. Dr. D brought an established partnership with him to his new school including a teacher residency program, UTeach replication program, and an on-site course. The results of ANOVAs are presented regarding the school climate according to student and teacher perspectives. Significant results were found on a number of variables including student belonging, bullying, and teacher autonomy. This manuscript addresses the National Association for Professional Development Schools Essential #5: Research and Results.

This study is based on collaboration between a school and a university on professional development training of 4th and 5th grade elementary school teachers in a southeastern state in the USA. The study was three-pronged and focused on teacher knowledge, pedagogy, and student achievement. We examined how the building of teacher capacity affected the performance of underachieving students in math and literacy. Underachieving students were targeted with specific strategies, projects, problems solving stories, self-reflection, and higher-level thinking questions. This phenomenological research study explored industry certifications in career and technical education. A grand tour question and three research questions guided this study. Data collected from interviews with graduate of career pathway programs, career and technical education instructors, and industry employers provided a thorough understanding of the issues experienced in career and technical education. This study revealed a need for appropriate industry certifications in career and technical education programs and the workplace. In addition, the participants expressed a desire for students to start preparing earlier for their careers and be provided with alternatives to college for post-secondary education.

This research seeks to add to that body and evaluate an environmental education program about the sustainability of plastics, using both quantitative and qualitative data collected from participating students. Using a mixed-methods convergent design within an Improvement Science framework, this Improvement Science Dissertation in Practice analyzed the effects of embedding self-regulation breathing techniques into the phonemic segmentation lesson versus conducting the techniques prior to the lesson or not at all. The project was conducted across two elementary schools, using six kindergarten educators and classes. งานวิจัย เรื่อง การพัฒนาโมเดลการวิเคราะห์อารมณ์ครูในชั้นเรียนผ่านการรู้จำคำพูดด้วยการเรียนรู้เชิงลึกมีวัตถุประสงค์ (1) เพื่อพัฒนาโมเดลการวิเคราะห์อารมณ์ครูในชั้นเรียนจากการวิเคราะห์ความรู้สึกผ่านทางข้อความที่ได้จากกระบวนการรู้จำคำพูดโดยใช้การเรียนรู้ของเครื่องและการเรียนรู้เชิงลึก และ (2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความเหมาะสมของโมเดลการวิเคราะห์อารมณ์ครูในชั้นเรียนที่ได้พัฒนาขึ้น ข้อความที่ใช้ในการพัฒนาโมเดลมีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 23,974 ข้อความ เก็บรวบรวมจากแหล่งข้อมูล 2 แหล่ง ได้แก่ วีดิทัศน์การสอนของครูในชั้นเรียนรายวิชาสังคมศึกษา ศาสนาและวัฒนธรรม จำนวน 11 วีดิทัศน์ที่ได้รับการแปลงเป็นข้อความผ่านกระบวนรู้จำคำพูด และฐานข้อมูล Wisesight Sentiment Analysis ในการพัฒนาโมเดลการวิเคราะห์อารมณ์ครูในชั้นเรียน ผู้วิจัยใช้โมเดลการเรียนรู้ของเครื่อง 3 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ กลุ่มที่ 1 โมเดลกลุ่มที่มีการจัดกระทำข้อมูลก่อนการวิเคราะห์และทำการวิเคราะห์จำแนกอารมณ์ครูด้วยการเรียนรู้ของเครื่อง จำนวน 4 โมเดล กลุ่มที่ 2 โมเดลที่มีการสกัดคุณลักษณะจากข้อความด้วยการเรียนรู้เชิงลึกโดยใช้ autoencoder และมีการวิเคราะห์จำแนกอารมณ์ครูด้วยการเรียนรู้ของเครื่องจำนวน 4 โมเดล และกลุ่มที่ 3 โมเดลกลุ่มที่มีการจัดกระทำข้อมูลก่อนการวิเคราะห์และทำการวิเคราะห์จำแนกอารมณ์ครูด้วยการเรียนรู้เชิงลึก จำนวน 2 โมเดล ผู้วิจัยดำเนินการจัดเตรียมข้อความให้อยู่ในรูปแบบที่พร้อมสำหรับการนำไปวิเคราะห์ด้วยการสกัดคุณลักษณะจากข้อความด้วยวิธี TF-IDF และมีการลดจำนวนคุณลักษณะด้วยกระบวนการ Principle Component Analysis (PCA) แก้ไขปัญหาความไม่สมดุลกันของจำนวนข้อมูลในตัวแปรตามจึงใช้เทคนิค SMOTE และโมเดลทั้งสามกลุ่มมีการปรับแต่งไฮเพอร์พารามิเตอร์ของโมเดลการวิเคราะห์อารมณ์ครูในชั้นเรียนด้วยวิธีการตรวจสอบไขว้ (Cross validation) การเปรียบเทียบประสิทธิภาพของโมเดลพิจารณาจากค่าดัชนี ความถูกต้อง ความแม่นยำ และความไวในการจำแนกกลุ่ม ผลการวิจัยที่ได้ พบว่า 1. จากทั้ง 3 กลุ่ม พบว่า โมเดล LSTM ที่มีการปรับไฮเพอร์พารามิเตอร์มีค่าความถูกต้องของโมเดลที่ใช้ในการจำแนกอารมณ์สูงที่สุด ร้อยละ 71 โดยมีความแม่นยำและความไวในการจำแนกกลุ่มทั้งสามประเภทโดยภาพรวมได้ดีที่สุด 2. โมเดลกลุ่มที่ 1 โมเดล Support Vector Machine ที่มีการกำหนดไฮเพอร์พารามิเตอร์ มีค่าความถูกต้องในการจำแนกอยู่ที่ 66% สำหรับโมเดลกลุ่มที่ 2 ที่ใช้โมเดล Multilingual Universal Sentence Encoder ในการสกัดคุณลักษณะควบคู่กับการจำแนกด้วยการเรียนรู้ของเครื่องของโมเดล Support Vector Machine และ โมเดล …

การตรวจงานเขียนภาษาอังกฤษของครูมีส่วนในการพัฒนาคุณภาพและทักษะในการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งนิสิตฝึกสอนที่กำลังจะเป็นครูในอนาคต จึงจำเป็นต้องฝึกทักษะการตรวจงานให้มีความเชี่ยวชาญมากขึ้น วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัยคือ เพื่อออกแบบและพัฒนาเครื่องมือประเมินและแนวทางการพัฒนาทักษะการตรวจงานเขียนของนิสิตฝึกสอนภาษาอังกฤษ จากการวิเคราะห์วิธีการตรวจงานเขียนภาษาอังกฤษจากมุมมองของครูภาษาอังกฤษ ตัวอย่างวิจัยเป็นครูผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ นิสิตฝึกสอน และนักเรียนโดยจากการเลือกตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ แนวคำถามสัมภาษณ์ปลายเปิดแบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง แบบสอบถามความต้องการจำเป็นด้านทักษะการตรวจงานเขียนภาษาอังกฤษของนิสิตฝึกสอน และเครื่องมือประเมินการตรวจงานเขียนภาษาอังกฤษของนิสิตฝึกสอน ใช้การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา การประเมินความต้องการจำเป็นด้วยค่าเฉลี่ย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ครูใช้วิธีการให้ข้อมูลย้อนกลับเชิงแก้ไขโดยตรงและวิธีการให้ข้อมูลย้อนกลับเชิงแก้ไขโดยอ้อมต่อข้อผิดพลาดในงานเขียนของนักเรียนที่แตกต่างกัน ทั้งนี้ ครูยังให้ข้อมูลย้อนกลับ คำแนะนำ และคำติชมให้แก่นักเรียนในงานเขียน นอกจากนี้ ผลจากการประเมินความต้องการจำเป็นด้านวิธีการตรวจงานเขียนภาษาอังกฤษพบว่า นิสิตฝึกสอนมีความจำเป็นในเรื่องการเขียนข้อเสนอแนะลงไปในงานเขียนของนักเรียน ส่วนนักเรียนมีความจำเป็นในเรื่องการให้อาจารย์นิสิตเขียนคำอธิบายแก้ไขข้อผิดพลาดให้ชัดเจนมากที่สุด ในขณะที่อาจารย์นิเทศก์มีความจำเป็นเรื่องการให้นักเรียนแก้ไขงานเขียนด้วยตนเองมากที่สุด ผลการวิจัยทั้งหมดนำไปสู่แบบประเมินในรูปแบบข้อคำถามและตัวเลือกพร้อมภาพประกอบโดยประเมินระดับของทักษะการตรวจงานเขียนด้วยเกณฑ์การให้คะแนนรูบริกแบบแยกองค์ประกอบ และแนวทางการพัฒนาทักษะการตรวจงานเขียนภาษาอังกฤษของนิสิตฝึกสอนในลักษณะข้อควรปฏิบัติ ที่ให้นิสิตฝึกสอนพิจารณา 1) ข้อผิดพลาดที่นักเรียนสามารถแก้ไขเองได้ 2) ข้อผิดพลาดที่นักเรียนไม่สามารถแก้ไขเองได้ 3) การสร้างแรงจูงใจในการเขียนของนักเรียน และ 4) การให้ข้อมูลย้อนกลับในงานเขียน แนวทางการพัฒนาที่ได้จากงานวิจัยนี้ สามารถนำไปใช้เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการตรวจงานเขียนภาษาอังกฤษของนิสิตฝึกสอนต่อไป

การพัฒนาโปรแกรมการฝึกทักษะสมองอีเอฟ เพื่อส่งเสริมการยืดหยุ่นทางความคิดและการรู้ดิจิทัล สำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษาตอนปลาย, ธนวินท์ สุริวงศ์

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1. วิเคราะห์สถานการณ์การรู้ดิจิทัลของนักเรียนประถมศึกษาตอนปลาย 2. ออกแบบต้นแบบโปรแกรมการฝึกทักษะสมองอีเอฟในการส่งเสริมการยืดหยุ่นทางความคิดและการรู้ดิจิทัลและ 3. วิเคราะห์ผลการใช้โปรแกรมการฝึกทักษะสมองอีเอฟ ในการส่งเสริมการยืดหยุ่นทางความคิดและการรู้ดิจิทัล สำหรับนักเรียนประถมศึกษาตอนปลาย และเปรียบเทียบคะแนนการยืดหยุ่นทางความคิดและการรู้ดิจิทัลระหว่างกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุม และ 4. วิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการยืดหยุ่นทางความคิดและการรู้ดิจิทัล ผู้วิจัยแบ่งขั้นตอนการดำเนินการออกเป็น 3 ระยะเพื่อตอบวัตถุประสงค์แต่ละข้อ ดังนี้ ระยะที่ 1 เป็นการทำความเข้าใจและวิเคราะห์สถานการณ์ กับนักเรียนประถมศึกษาตอนปลาย จำนวน 69 คนและครูผู้สอนจำนวน 3 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้วิจัยคือ แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมและแบบสัมภาษณ์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ครูประจำชั้นและครูผู้สอน สอดแทรกในการสอนและการจัดกิจกรรมเกี่ยวกับการยืดหยุ่นทางความคิด บางส่วน โดยส่วนใหญ่เป็นการฝึกความคิดสร้างสรรค์ให้กับนักเรียน รวมถึงการสังเกตพฤติกรรมการรู้ดิจิทัลของนักเรียนอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (M=6.25, SD=2.63) หมายถึง มีปัญหาพฤติกรรมการรู้ดิจิทัลบางรายการ แบ่งตามองค์ประกอบรายย่อยคือ ด้านการใช้งาน และด้านการสื่อสาร อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง หมายถึง มีปัญหาการรู้ดิจิทัลบางรายการ ควรได้รับการส่งเสริม และด้านการตระหนักรู้ อยู่ในระดับน้อย หมายถึง มีปัญหาการรู้ดิจิทัล ควรได้รับการปรับปรุง ระยะที่ 2 เป็นการออกแบบต้นแบบโปรแกรมการฝึกทักษะสมองอีเอฟ โดยมีผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการพัฒนานักเรียน จำนวน 5 คน ร่วมอภิปรายกลุ่ม รูปแบบชุดกิจกรรมประกอบด้วย แผนกิจกรรมทั้งหมด 10 ครั้ง ๆ ละ 60 นาที ผู้วิจัยพัฒนาจากกรอบแนวคิด ได้แก่ ข้อมูลการศึกษาระยะที่ 1 รวมถึงข้อมูลผลการระดมความคิดจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญในการพัฒนาต้นแบบ และข้อมูลการสังเคราะห์ เอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนาทักษะสมองอีเอฟในกลุ่มทักษะพื้นฐาน ประกอบด้วย (1) การจำเพื่อใช้งาน (2) การยั้งคิดไตร่ตรอง และ (3) การยืดหยุ่นทางความคิด ระยะที่ 3 เป็นการทดลองใช้ต้นแบบ โดยดำเนินการทดลองกับตัวอย่างวิจัยคือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 จำนวน 2 ห้องเรียน รวมทั้งสิ้น 69 คน แบ่งเป็น 2 กลุ่มคือ กลุ่มทดลอง 1 ห้องเรียน จำนวน …

Data on school discipline inequities have shown disproportionate numbers of Black students suspended and expelled compared to their non-Black counterparts. Despite the implementation of evidence-based solutions such as positive behavior supports and intervention, educator professional development, and restorative practices aimed at closing the racial discipline gap, little to no change has occurred.
