A previous TPT article discussed using glow sticks to demonstrate color mixing by comparing the spectra of red, green, and blue glow sticks to those of yellow and magenta glow sticks.1 More recently, a paper in the Journal of Chemical Education describes a method to separate glow stick dyes using chromatography with chalk and a solvent of acetone or alcohol.2 This method, while a valuable experience in a chemistry class, requires the glow stick to be opened. Asassn-14ko Is A Periodic Nuclear Transient In Eso 253-G003, Dirk Grupe

We present the discovery that ASASSN-14ko is a periodically flaring active galactic nucleus at the center of the galaxy ESO 253-G003. At the time of its discovery by the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASAS-SN), it was classified as a supernova close to the nucleus. The subsequent 6 yr of V- and g-band ASAS-SN observations revealed that ASASSN-14ko has nuclear flares occurring at regular intervals. The 17 observed outbursts show evidence of a decreasing period over time, with a mean period of P0 = 114.2 ± 0.4 days and a period derivative of P = -0.0017  0.0003. The most …

This thesis examines discrepancies that marginalize students, faculty and staff from utilizing or working in campus recreation facilities. More specifically, Campus Recreation departments lack strategies that ensure inclusion for all abilities, identity backgrounds and genders. This critical action research thesis considers the experiences of stakeholders and will integrate research that has been supported by seasoned scholars. Jennifer Bradley (plaintiff) was a junior year student athlete at the University in Washington, D.C. Bradley played field hockey for the university, and in September 2011, she was hit on the head during a field hockey game between the university and Richmond University. After that hit, she began experiencing symptoms of a concussion, but continued to play hockey in practice and games. The plaintiff was not advised to sit out of practices and games, despite her symptoms persisting and a diagnosis of a concussion being confirmed. นักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล เป็นคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนในกระบวนการคิด ค้นคว้า ประยุกต์ใช้สื่อแอปพลิเคชัน และนำเสนอข้อค้นพบความรู้ การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์คือ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาเครื่องมือวัดคุณลักษณะนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัลของนักเรียน 2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ และเปรียบเทียบคุณลักษณะนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัลของนักเรียนที่มีภูมิหลังแตกต่างกัน 3) เพื่อวิเคราะห์การจัดการเรียนรู้ที่ส่งเสริมคุณลักษณะนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล และปัญหาอุปสรรค ปัจจัยความสำเร็จในการจัดการเรียนรู้ และ 4) เพื่อพัฒนาแนวทางการส่งเสริมคุณลักษณะของนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล การดำเนินการวิจัย แบ่งเป็น 3 ระยะ โดยระยะที่ 1 การพัฒนาเครื่องมือวัดคุณลักษณะนักวิจัย รุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล ศึกษางานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง และสัมภาษณ์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจำนวน 5 ท่าน และทดลองใช้กับนักเรียน ระยะที่ 2 การวิเคราะห์การจัดการเรียนรู้ที่ส่งเสริมคุณลักษณะนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล โดย เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากนักเรียนจำนวน 645 คน และครูจำนวน 34 คน โดยวิธีสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน จากโรงเรียนสังกัด สพฐ. และสช. ในเขตกรุงเทพฯ เครื่องมือการวิจัยคือแบบสอบถามคุณลักษณะนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล และแบบสอบถามการจัดการเรียนรู้ ลักษณะมาตรประเมินค่า 5 ระดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดย 1) วิเคราะห์ค่าสถิติบรรยาย ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว และสถิติที 2) วิเคราะห์โมเดลเชิงสาเหตุพหุระดับ และ3) วิเคราะห์ข้ามกรณี โดยเลือกครูกรณีศึกษาจำนวน 6 คน จากการจัดกลุ่มด้วยเทคนิค cluster analysis และระยะที่ 3 การพัฒนาแนวทางการส่งเสริมคุณลักษณะนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล โดยนำข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณ และเชิงคุณภาพสังเคราะห์ร่วมกัน ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ 1. องค์ประกอบคุณลักษณะนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล ประกอบด้วย 6 ด้าน คือ 1) การช่างสงสัย 2) การสืบค้นสำรวจ 3) การร่วมมือกับผู้อื่น 4) การคิดแก้ปัญหา 5) การสร้างสรรค์สิ่งใหม่ และ 6) การสื่อสารผ่านสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ เครื่องมือวัดมีคุณภาพด้านความตรง และความเที่ยง โมเดลคุณลักษณะนักวิจัยรุ่นเยาว์ในยุคดิจิทัล มีความตรงเชิงโครงสร้าง พิจารณาค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องกลมกลืนได้แก่ ไค-สแควร์ (7, N=65) = …

ความท้อแท้ในการทำงานเกิดจากการตอบสนองต่อความเครียดเป็นเวลานานโดยไม่สามารถจัดการได้ การวิจัยนี้ศึกษา 1) ระดับความท้อแท้ในการทำงานและปัจจัยเสี่ยงในโรงเรียน 2) พัฒนาโมเดลสมการโครงสร้างของปัจจัยเสี่ยง 3) จำแนกกลุ่มของครูโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์ต้นไม้เอสอีเอ็ม และ 4) พัฒนาข้อเสนอทางเลือกในการลดความท้อแท้ในการทำงาน ตัวอย่าง คือ ครูในโรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน จำนวน 720 คน เก็บข้อมูลจากแบบสอบถามออนไลน์ และวิเคราะห์ด้วย Independent sample t-test one-way ANOVA โมเดลสมการโครงสร้าง และต้นไม้เอสอีเอ็ม (SEM tree) จำแนกกลุ่มครูตามความแปรปรวนและสัมประสิทธิ์อิทธิพลที่แตกต่างกัน พบว่า ครูมีความท้อแท้ในการทำงานในระดับปานกลาง (M =33.60, SD = 9.41) โดยมีปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อความท้อแท้ คือ อายุ รายได้ ประสบการณ์ทำงาน จำนวนงานนอกเหนืองานสอน และการทำงานฝ่ายงบประมาณและแผนงาน ซึ่งการรับรู้ความสามารถในตนเอง และการสนับสนุนจากโรงเรียน ส่งผลต่อความท้อแท้ในการทำงานของครู โดยมีความยึดมั่นผูกพันในการทำงาน เป็นตัวแปรส่งผ่านแบบบางส่วนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 (chi-square (346, N = 720) = 1142.254, p < .001, CFI = .931, TLI = .919, RMSEA = 0.057 และ SRMR = 0.079) ส่วนกลยุทธ์การเผชิญปัญหาเป็นปัจจัยที่ไม่ส่งผลต่อความท้อแท้ในการทำงาน จากการวิเคราะห์ต้นไม้เอสอีเอ็มจำแนกครูเป็น 6 กลุ่มที่มีปัจจัยภูมิหลังต่างกัน พัฒนาทางเลือกในการลดความท้อแท้ในการทำงานไปยังครู ผู้บริหาร ผู้ออกนโยบายและสถานผลิตครู และประเมินความเหมาะสม พบว่า ข้อเสนอทางเลือกมีความความเป็นไปได้ระดับมาก และมีประโยชน์ในทางปฏิบัติระดับมากที่สุด

ปัจจุบันครูสอนคณิตศาสตร์ควรให้ความสำคัญกับการเชื่อมโยงบทเรียนคณิตศาสตร์กับโลกแห่งความจริง การวิจัยในครั้งนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อวิเคราะห์และสังเคราะห์แนวปฏิบัติในการเชื่อมโยงบทเรียนคณิตศาสตร์กับบริบทโลกแห่งความจริงของครูโดยการสร้างแผนภาพมโนทัศน์ จากข้อมูลการสัมภาษณ์และแหล่งเอกสารต่าง ๆ 2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์และสังเคราะห์เทคนิคการสื่อสารและตัวอย่างการจัดการเรียนการสอนของครูเพื่อเชื่อมโยงบทเรียนกับบริบทโลกแห่งความจริงโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์วาทกรรมทางคณิตศาสตร์จากข้อมูลการสัมภาษณ์และแหล่งเอกสารต่าง ๆ และ 3) เพื่อสร้างและพัฒนาคู่มือครูเพื่อส่งเสริมการเชื่อมโยงบทเรียนคณิตศาสตร์กับบริบทโลกแห่งความจริงและตรวจสอบความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ในการนำไปปฏิบัติของครูคณิตศาสตร์ แบ่งการวิจัยออกเป็น 3 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นที่ 1 และ 2 ใช้การศึกษาข้อมูลเอกสารและสัมภาษณ์ครูที่มีคุณลักษณะตามที่กำหนด จำนวน 9 คน ด้วยแบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งมีโครงสร้างและการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา เพื่อนำข้อมูลไปใช้สร้างแผนภาพมโนทัศน์แสดงแนวปฏิบัติในการเชื่อมโยงบทเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ จากนั้นนำแผนภาพทั้ง 3 ประเภทไปตรวจประเมินแผนภาพมโนทัศน์ และนำข้อมูลที่สรุปเพื่อปรับแก้ไปกำหนดประเด็นเป็นองค์ประกอบในคู่มือครู ขั้นที่ 2 ใช้การวิเคราะห์วาทกรรมทางคณิตศาสตร์ตามแนวคิดของ Kabael และ Baran (2017) ที่อ้างอิงแนวคิดของ Sfard (2001) เพื่อวิเคราะห์มโนทัศน์ที่คลาดเคลื่อนด้านการเชื่อมโยง และเพิ่มการพิจารณาอีกหนึ่งมิติเพื่อวิเคราะห์มโนทัศน์ที่คลาดเคลื่อนทางคณิตศาสตร์ (misconception on maths) ที่ปรากฏผ่านวาทกรรมทางคณิตศาสตร์ของครู ขั้นที่ 3 นำข้อมูลที่ได้จากทั้งสองขั้นตอน ไปสร้างและพัฒนาคู่มือครูเพื่อส่งเสริมการเชื่อมโยงบทเรียนคณิตศาสตร์กับบริบทโลกแห่งความจริงและตรวจสอบความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ในการนำไปปฏิบัติของครูคณิตศาสตร์ ผลการวิจัยที่สำคัญมีดังนี้ 1. แนวปฏิบัติของครูในการเชื่อมโยงบทเรียนคณิตศาสตร์กับบริบทโลกแห่งความจริง พบว่า ครูมักยกตัวอย่างโจทย์บริบทส่วนบุคคลมากที่สุด โดยเลือกใช้แหล่งข้อมูลทางการศึกษาจาก 4 แหล่งข้อมูล ได้แก่ หนังสือคณิตศาสตร์ เว็บไซต์ทางการศึกษา การเข้าร่วมการอบรม และการศึกษาดูงาน ด้านวิธีการสอนครูเน้นให้นักเรียนได้ลงมือปฏิบัติจริง รวมถึงจัดกิจกรรมคณิตศาสตร์ที่หลากหลาย ปัญหาในการสอนเชื่อมโยงบทเรียนคณิตศาสตร์อาจเกิดจากครูขาดความพร้อมด้านเวลาในการจัดเตรียมสื่อการสอนและมีทัศนคติที่ไม่ดีต่อการสอนเชื่อมโยง รวมถึงความพร้อมของนักเรียนในเรื่องพื้นความรู้เดิมไม่เพียงพอ ขาดความสนใจในการเรียนและขาดสมาธิในการเรียน 2. ข้อค้นพบเกี่ยวกับลักษณะวาทกรรมที่ไม่เหมาะสมพบว่า 1) ครูมีมโนทัศน์ที่คลาดเคลื่อนด้านการเชื่อมโยง ใช้คำไม่ตรงกับจุดประสงค์ เลือกใช้คำไม่เหมาะสมและให้ข้อมูลไม่เพียงพอ และ 2) ครูมีมโนทัศน์ที่คลาดเคลื่อนทางคณิตศาสตร์ 3. คู่มือครู ประกอบด้วย 8 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ 1) วัตถุประสงค์ 2) สาระความรู้ 3) การออกแบบตัวอย่างโจทย์ปัญหาที่เชื่อมโยงโลกจริง 4) ตัวอย่างวาทกรรมทางคณิตศาสตร์ 5) คลังสื่อการเรียนรู้ 6) ตัวอย่างกิจกรรม 7) ตัวอย่างแผนการสอน และ 8) แบบประเมินตนเอง …
