The purpose of this study was to examine the reasons that influence parents to choose Catholic schools for their children and to determine which demographic and educational factors predict their importance. The study also examined how parish activity influences the importance placed on those reasons. Additionally, it explored the relationship between the reasons that influence choice and parents' overall satisfaction with the schools they have chosen for their children. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate that all students acquired similar learned material without considering their socioeconomic background. Through social interaction and technology, the intern provided an environment of equal learning between both groups. Through a case study, both third grade groups identified one's academic, cultural, economic, and historical backgrounds. In addition, this study demonstrated that the teachers' expectations were vital in the students' learning process. By setting attainable expectations, both groups were exposed to an academic and social learning experience.

The purpose of this study was to provide at-risk students with peer mentors to guide students as they make the transition from the intermediate school level to the middle school level. The study resulted in the creation of a program that formed a partnership between 7th-grade at-risk students and honor roll 8th-grade students who participate in after-school programs. Subjects were 35 7th-grade students, identified as at-risk students, at the Egg Harbor Township Middle School in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. The purpose of this study was to learn about successful inclusion practices which included, but were not limited to, positive attitudes, supports, collaborative teaching, team-teaching, teacher training, materials and resources, and curricular modifications.

The purpose of this study was to see if it would be feasible to privatize custodial services within the district. This study resulted in a decision as to whether privatizing custodial services would be beneficial to the school district. The privatizing of custodial services means the hiring of an outside contractor to handle the entire operation of cleaning the building and no longer using in-house employees to do these functions.

This study was designed to determine if the existing Peer Mediation Program at the Egg Harbor Township Intermediate School is working effectively. Utilizing an action research design, 20 sixth graders, who were either mediators or disputants, completed a peer mediation survey during the 2004-2005 academic school year. All 20 surveys were used for analysis with the final research population being 14 female and 6 male participants. Schools Attuned, based on 30 years of work by Dr. Mel Levine, had offered new methods for recognizing, understanding, and managing students with differences in learning. This study was to evaluate how the Glen Landing Middle School Afterschool Academic Assistance and Investigation and Analysis Intervention Programs impacted the seventh and eighth grade students' language arts and mathematics skills.
The population for this study involved 101 seventh and eighth graders who, during the previous school year, either tested below the 40th percentile on the TerraNova and/or failed one or more subjects.

The purpose of this project was to evaluate the utilization of Peer Coaching as a tool for increasing teacher communication and promoting the sharing of methodology and content knowledge. Within a high-school setting, scheduling and multiple course-loads kept teachers from capitalizing on the greatest resource that surrounded them; each-other. The purpose of this qualitative study was to evaluate the effectiveness of one model of flexible grouping on second grade students' progress in reading as measured by their use of decoding and comprehension skills. This classroom-based action research used a pretest and posttest design to determine students' reading levels. In addition to the quantitative results obtained from the pretests and posttests, teacher observation of students' use of reading strategies provided the basis for a qualitative analysis on the effectiveness of using leveled reading materials in a flexible grouping format. The purpose of the study was to a) determine the effectiveness of the current maintenance program at Sterling High School and to b) make changes in the program to promote staff satisfaction, safety of the environment, and fiscal matters. Administrators and staff members were interviewed regarding the program. A random sample of 100 work orders was analyzed to determine repair time, cost per repair, and percentage of return repairs for each of six maintenance categories, including electrical, plumbing, heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC), fire alarms, other mechanical, and interior. The purpose of this longitudinal cohort study was to analyze the grade school placements of children who received preschool special education services in order to determine how this type of early intervention impacted future learning. Data was obtained through non-interactive evaluation of existing class lists, student records, and Application for State School Aide (ASSA) reports of 342 disabled or developmentally delayed children between 3 and 5 years of age who participated in Evesham Township's Preschool Disabled Program between 1990 and 2001. The purpose of this study was to track student discipline referrals throughout the school year in order to provide additional support to those students who exhibited a pattern of having discipline issues. Students were identified based on the number of infractions they had and then they were targeted and received additional support from the researcher. The researcher compiled a list of the students and met with them regularly in order to establish a relationship with them. The purposes of this exploratory investigation were to (a) evaluate the effectiveness and perceptions of inclusion programs at the middle school level; and (b) specifically evaluate the program at Voorhees Middle School in Voorhees, New Jersey, for its effectiveness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a mentoring program in increasing academic success, improving self-esteem and decreasing disciplinary infractions. Data collection and initial interviews conducted with the mentors indicated the program was successful in improving the self-esteem, social skills and academic performance of most at-risk students. However, these evaluations need to be further developed and expanded in order to make a more conclusive judgment on the program's effectiveness, due to several factors.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness, as perceived by teachers and students, of the Glassboro Intermediate School's Bully Patrol in reducing bullying for seventh and eighth grade students. The data gathering procedures were teacher and student surveys using the convenience sampling technique. The results of this study were based upon the analysis of the feedback that the teachers and students provided.

This study examined the relationship between School Performance Scores (SPS) and job satisfaction of principals in Louisiana. The sample consisted of 1328 elementary, middle, high, and PK–12 public school principals in the State of Louisiana. Participants were asked to complete the Short-Form Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) via the Internet, with responses being submitted to a secure server. In addition to the MSQ, three demographic questions and three open-ended response questions were asked. The data were analyzed using a one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
