In 1903 at Iowa State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, a Public Speaking department emerged. This transition occurred over a decade prior to public speaking teachers seceding from English. Members of the department played foundational roles in establishing the national association and moving the discipline toward research-driven initiatives in order to secure legitimacy across academic landscapes. Surviving two World Wars, the Great Depression and title merger with English, the department again emerged as an independent academic unit prior to the 1970s. Experiences in educational leadership have been chronicled for a number of years; however, the diversity in the recorded lived experiences is lacking. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาจังหวัดชัยนาทตามแนวคิดทักษะทางพฤติกรรม 2) เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกจังหวัดชัยนาทตามแนวคิดทักษะทางพฤติกรรม โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบบรรยาย ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ โรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาจังหวัดชัยนาทและผู้ให้ข้อมูล คือ ผู้บริหารและครูโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาจังหวัดชัยนาท รวมทั้งสิ้นจำนวน 226 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสอบถาม และแบบประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณด้วยสถิติบรรยาย ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต ส่วนเบี่ยงเบน มาตรฐาน ฐานนิยม และใช้เทคนิคดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น (PNI [modified]) ในการจัดลำดับความต้องการจำเป็น ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า 1) การพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาจังหวัดชัยนาทที่มีความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด คือ การพัฒนาหลักสูตร รองลงมา คือ การพัฒนากระบวนการเรียนรู้ และ การวัดและประเมินผล ตามลำดับ ซึ่งองค์ประกอบทักษะทางพฤติกรรมที่มีค่าความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด คือ ความมั่นคงทางอารมณ์ 2) แนวทางพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษาจังหวัดชัยนาทตามแนวคิดทักษะทางพฤติกรรม โดยนำเสนอตามลำดับความต้องการจำเป็น 3 อันดับมีทั้งหมด 3 แนวทาง ดังนี้ (1) พัฒนาหลักสูตรสถานศึกษาที่เน้นผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ ทักษะทางพฤติกรรมความมั่นคงทางอารมณ์ (2) พัฒนากระบวนการเรียนรู้ที่เน้นผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ทักษะทางพฤติกรรมด้านความมั่นคงทางอารมณ์ (3) พัฒนาการวัดและประเมินตามสภาพจริงที่เน้นผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ทักษะทางพฤติกรรมด้านความมั่นคงทางอารมณ์

การวิจัยมีวัตถุประสงค์ดังนี้ 1) เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนปฐมวัยในตำบลตะเบาะ จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ ตามแนวคิดทักษะชีวิตประชาธิปไตย 2) เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาโรงเรียนปฐมวัยในตำบลตะเบาะ จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ ตามแนวคิดทักษะชีวิตประชาธิปไตย ใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงบรรยาย ผู้ให้ข้อมูลประกอบไปด้วย ผู้บริหาร และครู ปฐมวัยโรงเรียนปฐมวัยในตำบลตะเบาะ จำนวน 10 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบไปด้วย 1) แบบสอบถามเกี่ยวกับสภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนปฐมวัยฯ และ 2) แบบประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ของ (ร่าง) แนวทางฯ สถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลประกอบไปด้วย การแจกแจงความถี่ (Frequency) การหาค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) การหาค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต (X) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (SD) การวิเคราะห์ความต้องการจำเป็น Priority Need Index (PNI [modified]) และ ฐานนิยม (Mode) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) สภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ของการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนปฐมวัย พบว่าสภาพปัจจุบันโดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (X = 3.82) สภาพที่พึงประสงค์โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (X = 4.95) และลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นโดยรวม คือ 0.279 โดยองค์ประกอบของการบริหารวิชาการที่มีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด คือ การวัดและประเมินผลพัฒนาการ (PNI [modified] = 0.335) รองลงมาคือ การจัดประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ (PNI [modified] = 0.281) และ ทักษะชีวิตประชาธิปไตยด้านที่มีลำดับความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุด คือ การคิดอย่างมีปัญญาและจริยธรรม (PNI [modified] = 0.345) และ ด้านที่ต่ำที่สุด คือ การแสดงอารมณ์ที่เหมาะสม (PNI [modified] = 0.249) 2) แนวทางพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนปฐมวัยในตำบลตะเบาะ มี 3 แนวทางหลัก 4 แนวทางย่อย 20 วิธีดำเนินการในการพัฒนาการบริหาวิชาการฯ โดยเรียงตามลำดับความต้องการจำเป็น ดังนี้ (1) พลิกโฉมการวัดและประเมินผลพัฒนาการของผู้เรียนเพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะชีวิตประชาธิปไตย (2) …

This study was aimed at investigating secondary school administrators’ experiences with and their perceptions of cyberbullying, as well as their intervention and prevention procedures. As technology has become ubiquitous in our society, students’ use has increased and impacted the school environment. Given the potential for cyberbullying and the negative effects of such, schools harbor the responsibility to prevent and intervene in such occurrences. This can be a tricky process.

In the spring of 2020, many public places closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most public schools in the United States suddenly closed buildings as educators and students scrambled to adapt to distance education. This phenomenological, qualitative study holistically explores elementary educators’ experiences during the extended school closures. The 18current elementary educators who participated in individual interviews, served rural, elementary students. Individual interviews allowed participants to discuss and explain their experiences concerning methods, materials, time commitments, and communication with colleagues, parents, and students. Within the field of occupational therapy, the issue of transitioning from an entry-level master's degree to an entry-level doctorate degree is under debate. As such, it is important to investigate the impact of the transition in order to help make educated decisions about the potential future of the profession.This study analyzed retrospective data collected from six cohorts at one Midwestern university to analyze the impact of the transition to an entry-level doctorate on diversity, admission and matriculation rates, and fieldwork reservations. The purpose of the study was to analyze faculty stress with three interrelated parts. First, the study examined the relationship between work engagement, stress factors, stress outcomes, and faculty characteristics. Next, the study analyzed the relationship between students' perception of faculty stress, faculty teaching effectiveness, class size, and student classification. Finally, the study investigated faculty preferences for health and wellness programs in the workplace. The study used two anonymous online questionnaires to collect data from 45 faculty participants and 119 student participants from a U.S. public, four-year research university. This study explores building level administrators’ thoughts on the role grit plays in a school’s culture and how building level administrators can foster a culture of grit. Duckworth’s (2016) text Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance was used as a basis for this study. This is a qualitative study using the grounded theory research method. This inquiry-based research method afforded the researcher the immediate opportunity to explore relationships among the data collected from the participant interviews. Although student persistence is an important metric for higher education administrators and working while attending school is pervasive among those who attend college, the extent to which work supervisors may impact students while attending college through interactions is underexplored. This study examines the relationship between supervisor interactions and student outcomes in relation to type of employment, academic persistence, and competencies. The literature review indicates the relationship between type of employment and academic persistence is important and interactions may provide useful benefits.
