Colleges and universities are seeing growth of Latinx students actively engaged in Greek life. In this study, six Latino participants share their testimonios as members of different Chapters of a Latinx Greek Letter Organization (LGLO) nestled within Predominantly White Institutions located in the state of Georgia, USA. Informed by LatCrit theory, this qualitative study uses member’s testimonios to shed light on their varied and sometimes politically charged and racist lived experiences. There is a paucity of research on institutional e-accessibility and transfer-credit-software adoption. This paucity poses a challenge in understanding how these technologies impact college students and professionals. Drawing on connectivism theory and Karp and Fletcher's (2014) and Kezar's (2013) three-way approaches (changing-in-advice, institutions, and students' willingness to use technology tools) investigate how technology product adoption affects students' and transfer admission counselors' experiences during the transfer process. Black men graduate from universities at a lower rate compared to other groups. Students with disabilities also graduate at a lower rate. When the two groups intersect, the results can be disastrous. While research on VR gaming and Exergaming is in its infancy, both are interventions that have demonstrated positive results such as promoting physical activity participation and positive attitudes towards physical activity in children and adolescents. Perceptions of value are critically important as they can influence the effectiveness and breadth of participation in the strategic planning process, and such participation is widely held to be critical for success. This qualitative study explored the experiences of African Americans as they pursued and transitioned into senior administrative roles at four-year predominantly white institutions (PWIs). Insights were drawn from eight participants who held or had held positions such as president, vice president, provost, assistant vice president/provost, and dean.

From in-depth interviews with participants, their experiences were categorized into the overarching themes of career navigation, racial adversity, professional development, and voices of experience, all of which were deeply interconnected through their respective subthemes. This report from the Metropolitan Educational Research Consortium highlights findings from a multiple case study exploring enrollment practices related to advanced coursework matriculation in a suburban middle school and rural high school. In connection with the MERC Equitable Access and Support for Advanced Coursework study, this multiple case study included perspectives from students, parents, and educators as they reflected on the factors that support and inhibit access for advanced courses in their schools.

Homeplace: An Afterschool Club For Adolescent Black Girls At A Predominantly White Middle School, Jana L. Johnson-Davis

Adolescent Black girls often experience marginalization in schools due to zero-tolerance policies, oppressive classroom curricula, and teachers who lack cultural competency. The literature on adolescent Black girls in school revealed that there are spaces within schools that can serve as homeplaces for Black girls. This study explored how adolescent Black girls experienced homeplace in an afterschool club at a predominantly White middle school in Decatur, Georgia. This research also expands bell hooks’s (2001) theory of homeplace from the home environment to school buildings. ในศตวรรษที่ 21 เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลที่ถูกพัฒนาให้เจริญก้าวหน้าและมีบทบาทสำคัญในชีวิตประจำวันของมนุษย์ที่เพิ่มขึ้น เด็กรุ่นใหม่จึงควรมีทักษะที่รองรับกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้น ส่งผลให้วงการการศึกษาพยายามที่จะส่งเสริมทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณตั้งแต่เด็กปฐมวัยเพื่อรองรับกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงนี้ งานวิจัยนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงบรรยาย ที่มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการที่เสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณของนักเรียนสำหรับโรงเรียนอนุบาล และนำเสนอแนวทางการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการที่เสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณของนักเรียนสำหรับโรงเรียนอนุบาล โดยมีกลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ โรงเรียนภายในกำกับดูแลโดยสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน (สพฐ.) ที่มีการจัดการเรียนการสอนระดับอนุบาล จำนวน 1,600 แห่ง ผู้ให้ข้อมูล คือ ผู้อำนวยการ รองผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายบริหารวิชาการ หัวหน้าแผนกอนุบาล และครูอนุบาล รวมทั้งสิ้น 863 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบประเมินและแบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น และการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การบริหารวิชาการที่เสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณของนักเรียนสำหรับโรงเรียนอนุบาลมีความต้องการจำเป็นด้านการบริหารหลักสูตรมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือ ด้านการจัดสภาพแวดล้อม สื่อ และแหล่งเรียนรู้ การประเมินพัฒนาการ และการจัดประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ ตามลำดับ สำหรับทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณในภาพรวม องค์ประกอบย่อยที่มีความต้องการจำเป็นมากที่สุด คือ การแก้ไขจุดบกพร่อง (Debugging) รองลงมาคือ การแบ่งงานใหญ่เป็นงานย่อย (Decomposition) การพิจารณาสาระสำคัญของปัญหา (Abstraction) การเข้าใจการทำงานร่วมกันของระบบ (System Collaboration) การพิจารณารูปแบบของปัญหา (Pattern Recognition) การออกแบบอัลกอริทึม (Algorithm Design) และการเข้าใจและใช้สัญลักษณ์แทนการสื่อสาร (Representation) ตามลำดับ แนวทางการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการที่เสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณของนักเรียนสำหรับโรงเรียนอนุบาล ประกอบไปด้วย 2 แนวทางหลัก 6 แนวทางย่อย 25 วิธีดำเนินการ ได้แก่ 1) ยกระดับหลักสูตรสถานศึกษา เพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณ และ 2) พลิกโฉมสภาพแวดล้อม สื่อ และแหล่งเรียนรู้ของสถานศึกษา ให้เอื้อต่อการเสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดเชิงคำนวณ

การการวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษากรอบแนวคิดการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนอนุบาลสังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร และกรอบแนวคิดความฉลาดรู้ใหม่ในยุคดิจิทัล 2) ศึกษาระดับความฉลาดรู้ใหม่ในยุคดิจิทัลของเด็กปฐมวัย 3) ศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นในการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนอนุบาลสังกัดกรุงเทพมหานครตามแนวคิดความฉลาดรู้ใหม่ในยุคดิจิทัล และ 4) พัฒนากลยุทธ์การบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนอนุบาลสังกัดกรุงเทพมหานครตามแนวคิดความฉลาดรู้ใหม่ในยุคดิจิทัล ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยผสมวิธีพหุระยะ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ โรงเรียนที่เปิดสอนระดับชั้นอนุบาล สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 207 โรงเรียน ผู้ให้ข้อมูล คือ ผู้อำนวยการ รองผู้อำนวยการ และครู รวม 621 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามและแบบประเมิน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาจากการสนทนากลุ่ม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) กรอบแนวคิดการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนอนุบาลสังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร ประกอบด้วย 4 งาน ได้แก่ (1) ด้านหลักสูตร (2) ด้านการจัดประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ (3) ด้านสื่อ สภาพแวดล้อมการเรียนรู้ และ (4) ด้านประเมินพัฒนาการ กรอบแนวคิดความฉลาดรู้ใหม่ในยุคดิจิทัล ประกอบด้วย 4 องค์ประกอบหลัก 12 องค์ประกอบย่อย ได้แก่ องค์ประกอบที่ (1) ความฉลาดรู้ด้านข้อมูล ประกอบด้วย 2 องค์ประกอบย่อย คือ การเข้าถึงและเข้าใจสื่อ การคิดวิเคราะห์และใช้ข้อมูลสารสนเทศ องค์ประกอบที่ (2) ความฉลาดรู้ด้านเทคโนโลยี ประกอบด้วย 2 องค์ประกอบย่อย คือ ความรู้ด้านคณิตศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ ความสามารถในการใช้และเข้าใจผลกระทบของเทคโนโลยี องค์ประกอบที่ (3) ความฉลาดรู้เกี่ยวกับมนุษย์ ประกอบด้วย 5 องค์ประกอบย่อย คือ ความสามารถในการสร้างสรรค์สิ่งใหม่ ทักษะอารมณ์และสังคม ความสามารถในการสื่อสารและประสานความร่วมมือ ความสามารถในการคิดและเรียนรู้ การมีมนุษยธรรม องค์ประกอบที่ (4) ทักษะพื้นฐาน ประกอบด้วย 3 องค์ประกอบย่อย คือ ความฉลาดรู้การเงิน …

When intercollegiate athletic participants were permitted the right to profit off of their name, image and likeness (NIL), the landscape of college sports was fundamentally changed. This qualitative explanatory case study investigated one consequence of that change: the discourse of amateurism. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has historically identified participants in the athletic programs it oversees with the word “student-athlete.” In the years since the word was first introduced, its meaning has generally been static. This dissertation examined the complexities surrounding hazing behaviors within the Interfraternity Council (IFC) and Panhellenic Association (PHA) student populations, as well as the perspectives of college administrators. Harmful health behaviors, such as hazing, sexual violence, and substance misuse, continue to plague these organizations, impacting over 750,000 undergraduate students across more than 770 campuses in the United States.
