Strategies to recruit and hire faculty and staff of color to the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s population levels have continued for 57 years. From Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to the Kentucky Plan in 1982 to the Strategic Plan for Kentucky Higher Education from 1982 to 1995, to the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education’s 2010-2015 Policy and Framework for Institution Diversity Plan to its current 2016-2021 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy. A Survey Of Clinical Research Education And Perceptions Among Research Staff Within An Urban Hospital Setting, Francesca Picotte

Health centers are uniquely positioned to address the growing need for uniform clinical research training, which leads to scientific advances in improving overall population health outcomes. This study surveyed 44 clinical research professionals for their current baseline of research competency and perceptions, within a single medical campus in Michigan, to obtain the current baseline of education research competency for the suggested development and implementation of a future clinical research training curriculum. Clinical study coordinators and senior staff physicians accounted for 50% (22) of the survey respondents. Most of the participants 93% (41) reported that the primary source of their research …

In 2020, Old Dominion University was awarded a State Council for Higher Education for Virginia grant in order to re-imagine the future of experiential learning at the institution. This campus-wide effort is led by a taskforce to create a vision, framework, and plan for the future of experiential learning at Old Dominion University. The taskforce is composed of stakeholders that include students, faculty, administrators, and community and business partners. This qualitative method single case study explores the phenomenon of a racially tense campus climate at the University of Missouri Columbia, a Predominantly White Midwestern Institution. This study asked Directors of Financial Aid Office at colleges and universities in Iowa to complete a questionnaire and share how they were implementing collaborative financial literacy programs at their institution. The study sought to answer three questions: (1) To what extent are institutions in Iowa working cross-departmentally to incorporate financial literacy into programming on their campus?, (2) What is the connection between cross-departmental financial literacy programming and student graduation and retention?, and (3) How is cross-departmental financial literacy programming reflected in federal student loan data?

This research explores the experiences of eight individuals with positional responsibility for the implementation of the Clery Act as a part of a college or university campus community, specifically seeking to understand the use of crisis communication theory in the issuance of timely warnings. Qualitative methods, specifically semi-structured interviews and a content analysis of previously issued timely warnings,were employed. The University System of Georgia (USG) has a state-wide initiative aimed at increasing the well-being of faculty and staff by deincentivizing the use of tobacco products by employees who are covered by a USG healthcare plan. This incentive is positive in that aid in stopping tobacco product usage is offered to each member; and negative in that each member who is a tobacco product user is penalized. A healthcare surcharge is added to the monthly health insurance premium paid by each faculty/staff member for themselves and covered dependents over 18 years of age who are tobacco product users. This article provides a brief biology of the Tajik kovrak (F.tadshikorum Pimen.) And information on the establishment of plantations in the arable lands of Arnasay district of Jizzakh region in 2015-2019 by sowing seeds of the plant from different regions. The experiment was of two types: Option 1, in which the soil was well tilled, plowed, and then sown, and Option 2 was chiseled and then sown in seedbeds. It was found that planting resin-bearing husks in plowed areas gave better results than in chisel-planted areas. In both cases, the number of fragile seedlings has been declining over the years. …

The article provides information about the quality of seeds: infestation, germination, humidity and mass of 1000 seeds of some fudder legumes plants. The infestation of seeds in the studied species in natural conditions ranges from 16,9 to 22,4 %, and the moisture content of seeds was 12.9-15.4 %, depending on the species. Hard-seeding is very high, from 80.6 (O.micrantha) to 95.4% (A.sieversianus). Seed dormancy in the studied taxa according to the classification of M. G. Nikolaeva et al. The article is devoted to the altitudinal and biotopic distribution of terrestrial mollusсs of the Zaamin mountains. Faunistic analysis showed that 31 species of mollusсs belonging to 19 genera and 14 families live in this region. The high-altitude distribution of mollusсs was carried out according to the classification of K.Z.Zakirov, where such high-altitude zones as chul (plains), adyr (foothills), tau (mountains) and yaylau (high mountains) were identified.
