The May 23, 1955 issue is the last of the school year and features articles on the razing of the Textron Building, commencement, the apparel design show, faculty awards, the Spectrum publication, student activities, and sporting events.

Spectrum was a publication released in the early 1950s by the undergraduate students at Rhode Island School of Design. This issue from May 1951 includes feedback from the first issue, budget restaurant recommendations, a poll of student social habits, campus news, an "After Hours" column with entertainment recommendations, alumni notes, and an interview of Professor Ernest Lichtblau, along with articles on the Bluebird Diner, a ballet "Black Haiti" put on by a RISD student group, and perceptions of artists.

The Designer was a student newspaper published in 1942. Three issues remain today. The first two issues are written by typewriter on loose sheaves of paper. The issue of March 1, 1942 included information about club activities, art exhibitions, and student council notes. There were some speakers and activities that were related to World War II and the home front. This was the first issue so there was a plea for student participation.

The issue of December 1931 included a short essay from Mrs. Danforth, RISD president about the Aims for the School and the RISD Museum. The Student Designer was a student-run monthly newspaper published between 1929 and 1932. The January 31, 1930 issue had an article about RISD architecture students who wanted a change in their curriculum. Also included was an article about the RISD textile department. Bits of humor, ads and information about art exhibitions were also in this issue.

The Salamander was a short-lived student publication released monthly during the 1925-1926 academic year at the Rhode Island School of Design. Contents were printed on one side of the page, mostly comprised of fictional gossip and humor. Hand drawn illustrations are also included. The issue of December 1925 also included a brief opinion piece about the Providence Art Club and RISD sports news.
