This case study aims to find out how teachers of the International Class Program at an elementary school in Malang incorporated critical thinking (CT) pedagogy in teaching subjects with English as a Medium of Instruction. Eighteen teachers filled in an online questionnaire, and two of them were interviewed. Analysis of one pre-recorded video for English class (lasted for 13 minutes) and one video of Math class delivered through Zoom meeting (lasted for 29 minutes) was done to investigate how teachers triggered students’ thinking in the classroom practice. In 2019, there were 63.022 learners of Indonesian as a foreign language in Victorian schools, Australia. They were facilitated by 263 Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) local teachers. Due to a shortage of BIPA local teachers, the Department of Education and Training Victoria had recruited language assistants from Indonesia. This study is aimed to describe the required skillsets of BIPA language assistants to support their duties. Gatholoco is a figure in Serat Gatholoco, a literary work suspected to be written in the early 19th century. The Gatholoco character is said to have a constellation of desires that presents subversive symptoms, positioning Serat Gatholoco as a controversial text at that time. This article examines the editorials in Koran Tempo and Kompas in representing their ideology of COVID-19 handling in Indonesia. This linguistic research is conducted qualitatively. The data were in the form of Indonesian-language editorial discourse, which discussed the COVID-19 handling in Indonesia. The written research data were taken from national newspapers, namely Koran Tempo and Kompas, and were obtained through the use of listening and note-taking techniques. They were then analyzed using Van Dijk’s critical discourse analysis model. The technological advancement and emergence of online advertisement become the underlying reason of the implementation of this current research. This paper discusses the pattern obtained in directive speech act delivered indirectly. Data of this qualitative research were utterances expressing directive speech act that had been transcribed by inclosing the conversation contexts. The data were collected from 30 online advertisements in online shopping application. This study intends to show the self-image of Indonesian women who are considered ‘exotic’ in Gijsbert Francis’ novel Tjerita Njai Dasima. The term exotic refers to alienation and othering Europeans raised towards the eastern world, especially Indonesia. The author discusses the image of Indonesian women featured in the novel Tjerita Njai Dasima through the point of view of postcolonial feminists using a qualitative descriptive method by displaying the result based on subject relations and imagery built in the novel. Language evidence is consulted in dealing with cyberbullying cases. Linguistic analysis is used to reveal the nature of speech and cyberbullying expressions that have legal implications. Through morphological afixation, new words in Indonesian (bI) such as berfirman, menggembalakan, and direncanakan are classified as denominal verbs (VDn). VDn construction is the focus of this study. However, as urban space gradually emerges as a culturally influencing element, a casual perusal of any text that employs urban space might result in an oversimplified analysis. This research aims to address student awareness and attitude towards autonomous language learning and their affordances and challenges as a part of such learning. This study aims to determine the relationship between eye movement patterns and reading comprehension skills. Data were collected from 20 participants during reading comprehension activities using the Tobii Eye Tracker. Hypothesis testing conducted using the Chi-square Test through Crosstabs analysis shows the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-sided) 0.788 > 0.05, which leads to a conclusion that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Therefore, we conclude that there is no relationship between eye movement patterns and the reading comprehension ability among the participants. This study describes aspects of symbolic forms that take place in the interaction of speech acts in learning process at IAIN Palopo, namely the formation of patterns of ideological transformation and character in learning process. Furthermore, this study aims to uncover the values of education expressed in the context of learning. The values are expressed through ideology and critical ideas are represented in symbolic forms. The purpose of this research to improve the ability to analyze the intrinsic elements of the drama in students of class VIII-2 Private Junior High School Nurcahaya Medan using a jigsaw type cooperative learning model. The drama script is an essay containing stories or plays. The drama script is inseparable from the intrinsic element of the drama script. The concept of postmemory, introduced by Hirsch (2012), focuses on the processes through which memories—particularly traumatic memories— of a historical tragedy, “Holocaus”, which is transmitted across generations. Drawing on the elements supporting inter-individual memory transmission, this paper examines the dynamics of human memory within Novel Prize-winning French-Mauritian author J. M. G. Le Clézio's novella entitled “Tempête”. Using a qualitative approach, this study aims to examine the individual forms of memory transmission that are rooted in conditions of isolation, and developed through one trauma site as the memory connector. This research aims to reveal the steps of philology research on the Dhedhasaraning Wewatekanipun Manungsa text and reveal how the text can be used by teachers to educate students with different personalities, so learning can be more effective. This study is qualitative research utilizing philological approach. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques, starting from unitization, sampling, recording data, describing data, making inferences, and analyzing data. Teen lit serves a central position in the conception of masculinity in teenagers due to its closeness to them as readers. For teenagers, physical masculinity is relatively highlighted compared to masculinity in other dimensions. Physical masculinity is expressed through classic names, which is related to strength, and is signified by ‘provincial’ names. Physical masculinity is also conveyed through the expressions of the eyes and figures. Besides, a specific cultural icon typically related to handsomeness is also used to construct physical masculinity in teen lit.
