This case study investigates ways educators assess student artwork while focusing on the assessment criteria of five different instructional approaches in art education. This qualitative inquiry is informed by participant questionnaires and an analysis of participant assessment criteria that teachers implement in their classrooms. This paper observes assessment strategies from within the classroom, and analyzes the assessment strategies implemented on student Artsonia projects. (Note. Artsonia is an online platform for art teachers to create portfolios for each student and share artwork with family, staff, and the community.) My study aims to understand how students’ beliefs and feelings about their racial, ethnic, and cultural identities impact the creation of artwork in the art classroom. This is achieved by examining students' interactions with their teachers in the art classroom through autoethnography and ethnography. This study finds that students express their complex cultural identities through artmaking by incorporating visual culture and lived experiences connected to their families and the cultures they grew up in. This research provides art teachers with practical strategies to design and implement more culturally sustaining art lessons so they can better understand their students’ cultural identities.

In this research, I utilize an ethnographic and autoethnographic methodology to understand such instructional practices that are utilized to support English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and ways that these practices can be implemented into an art curriculum, in addition to an ethnographic and autoethnographic study, examining and reflecting on the impact language has on bicultural students who are placed in programs that support ESOL. Two children (ages 6 and 9) represent an afternoon spent in their urban, wintery treescape through visual art, photo documentation, and written narrative. The first piece, "My Imaginary Forest", considers the seasons, animals, and issues of artistic representation of nature. The second piece describes the relationship between a favourite tree and a child, and considers others -- both present and future -- who also occupy "Our Knotty Tree". All of the words, visual art, and photo selection are those of the children.

This study aimed to analyze the linguistic features that allegedly contained elements of blasphemy in Jenderal Dudung Abdurrachman's (JDA) speech. The analysis was carried out using a forensic linguistic perspective. This research data is in the form of JDA utterances delivered in a broadcast conducted with Deddy Corbuzier (DC). Based on a forensic linguistic analysis of the text of JDA's conversation with DC on Deddy Corbuzier's podcast, it can be concluded that JDA's linguistic evidence does not support blasphemy but a lack of knowledge in religion, especially in matters of faith.
