Tips offered center on classroom discourse, curriculum choices, and potential assignments. In this article, we present tips for creating a thriving undergraduate and graduate communication research lab. Based on our experiences developing and co-directing the Communication and Social Robotics Labs (CSRLs), we offer 10 best practices for acquiring resources and recognition, building a strong lab community, and attaining faculty and student goals for scholarship and beyond. Our overarching approach is framed by Dewey’s (1916) pragmatist educational metaphysic, which stresses student- and subject-centered learning, enlarging experiences, and the co-construction of meaning and knowledge. This study aimed to explore the relationship between secondary school students’ digital literacy and their attitude towards using information and communication technology in a private secondary school in Karachi, Pakistan. For this study, the data were collected through survey questionnaire using google forms. The total sample size for this study was 344 secondary school students having almost equal ratio of male and female. On bivariate correlation analysis, digital literacy was found to be associated with students’ attitude towards using information and communication technology (ICT) and other ICT related demographics. In this paper we have put design and evaluation as it were under a microscope with multiple lenses. We use four different snapshots of design, each at a different level of resolution, to reveal new perspectives on the design-evaluation relationship. We believe that the disparate views of designers and evaluators can be resolved by resorting to the middle ground described by Klir. We believe also that the disparate views of educational technologists and learning scientists can be similarly resolved by appealing to the similar principle of Edelson.

This chapter focuses on the design approach used in the self-reflexive finale of the mobile augmented reality history game Jewish Time Jump: New York. In the finale, the iOS device itself and the player using it are implicated in the historical moment and theme of the game. การวิจัยในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษา สภาพ ปัญหาและความต้องการเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาระบบฯ 2) พัฒนาระบบฯ 3) ศึกษาผลการใช้ระบบฯ 4) นำเสนอระบบฯ ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาสภาพและความต้องการ คือ นิสิตนักศึกษาปริญญาตรี สาขาวิชาอัญมณีและเครื่องประดับ จำนวน 335 คน ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการสัมภาษณ์ความคิดเห็นและรับรองรูปแบบ คือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญและผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ จำนวน 27 คน ได้แก่ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยีการศึกษา 8 คน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการผลิตเครื่องประดับอัญมณี 16 คน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านจิตวิทยาการศึกษา 3 คน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ นักศึกษาวิทยาลัยเพาะช่าง มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลรัตนโกสินทร์ ที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนในรายวิชา เครื่องโลหะและรูปพรรณอัญมณี2 จำนวน 26 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในงานวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็น แบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ แบบประเมินรับรองร่างระบบการเรียน แบบประเมินความเหมาะสมของตัวชี้วัด แบบประเมินความเหมาะสมของสื่อ บทเรียนคอมพิวเตอร์ปรับเหมาะแบบจำลองขั้นตอน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบวัดความตระหนักด้านความปลอดภัยในกาทำงาน แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นที่มีต่อระบบการเรียน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน t-test และ one-way ANOVA ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ระบบการเรียนฯ ที่พัฒนาขึ้น มี 5 องค์ประกอบ คือ 1) การเรียนการสอนแบบปรับเหมาะ 2) การเรียนการสอนสี่องค์ประกอบ 3) เครื่องมือทางเทคโนโลยีการศึกษา 4) การวัดและการประเมินผล 5) บทบาทผู้เกี่ยวข้อง กระบวนการเรียนการสอนในระบบ มี 6 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ 1) นำเข้าสู่บทเรียน 2) ทดสอบก่อนเรียนด้วยการปฏิบัติการจำลองขั้นตอน 3) ปฏิบัติการจำลองขั้นตอนแบบปรับเหมาะตามการชี้นำ 4) บันทึกการเรียนรู้ 5) ทดสอบหลังเรียนด้วยการปฏิบัติการจำลองขั้นตอน 6) นำเสนอผลประเมินและสรุปบทเรียน ผลการทดลองใช้ระบบการเรียนฯ พบว่า กลุ่มทดลองมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยความตระหนักด้านความปลอดภัยในการทำงานหลังทดลองสูงกว่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยก่อนทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพในการใช้งานสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ของผู้เรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย 2) เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการเรียนโดยใช้โครงงานเป็นฐานด้วยสื่อสังคมออนไลน์เพื่อส่งเสริมการรู้สิ่งแวดล้อมของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาผลการใช้รูปแบบการเรียนโดยใช้โครงงานเป็นฐานด้วยสื่อสังคมออนไลน์เพื่อส่งเสริมการรู้สิ่งแวดล้อมของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาสภาพและความต้องการคือ ผู้เรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายจำนวน 154 คน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการพัฒนารูปแบบคือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญจำนวน 7 ท่าน และกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ ผู้เรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย จำนวน 20 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ แบบสอบถามสภาพและความต้องการในการใช้งานสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ของผู้เรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย และแบบประเมินรูปแบบ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลได้แก่ แบบวัดความรู้ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม แบบวัดเจตคติด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม แบบวัดพฤติกรรมด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม และแบบประเมินความคิดเห็นต่อการใช้รูปแบบการเรียนโดยใช้โครงงานเป็นฐานด้วยสื่อสังคมออนไลน์เพื่อส่งเสริมการรู้สิ่งแวดล้อมของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย ผลการวิจัยสามารถสรุปได้ดังนี้ 1) สื่อสังคมออไลน์ที่ผู้เรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายใช้งานมากที่สุดสามอับดับได้แก่ Youtube (X = 2.71, S.D = 0.56) Facebook Messenger (X = 2.69, S.D. = 0.57) และ Facebook (X = 2.62, S.D. = 0.62) 2) องค์ประกอบของรูปแบบฯ ประกอบด้วย 5 องค์ประกอบได้แก่ ผู้สอน ผู้เรียน กิจกรรมการเรียนโดยใช้โครงงานเป็นฐาน สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ และ การประเมินผล 3) ขั้นตอนของรูปแบบฯ ประกอบด้วย 5 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ การเตรียมการ การอภิปรายประเด็นสิ่งแวดล้อมในชุมชนบริเวณรอบโรงเรียน การวางแผนดำเนินโครงงาน การดำเนินโครงงาน และ การประเมินผล 4) ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเห็นว่ารูปแบบฯ มีความเหมาะสมในระดับมากที่สุด (X= 4.77, SD.=0.33) 5) ผลการเปรียบเทียบคะแนนเฉลี่ยความรู้ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 6) ผลการเปรียบเทียบคะแนนเฉลี่ยเจตคติด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม หลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 7) ผลการศึกษาพฤติกรรมด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม พบว่า ผู้เรียนมีคะแนนพฤติกรรมด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม อยู่ในระดับดีมาก (X = 2.76, …

Technology integration has significantly influenced the way students access and retain knowledge gained in the classroom (Ahmed, 2016). This is particularly relevant in classrooms for adult learners who engage in continuing education. This paper used a descriptive case study (Yin, 2014) to share how an instructor utilized mobile learning with a web-based polling tool, PollEverywhere, to gamify experiential learning for adult students in various roles within a southeastern state’s court administration—prosecutors, defense lawyers, magistrates, and jail administrators—and improve students’ engagement in the course and connection to course material.

The Centre for Schooling and Learning Technologies (CSaLT) at Edith Cowan University (ECU) was asked in 2016 to be the Western Australian arm of a national e-exam project. This project used a bespoke exam system installed on a USB-drive to deliver what would have been traditional paper-based exams in an enclosed computer-based environment that was isolated from the internet and any resources other than those provided by the lecturer. Despite massive amounts of time Korean English Learners (KLL) study English grammar, they continue to have problems becoming proficient in verb tenses, especially the present perfect. This study examines this problem through a linguistic comparative analysis of Korean and English present perfect and past tenses. Two possible reasons for KLL difficulty with verb tenses could be mode of instruction and L1 interference.

This study focuses on the outwardly similar cultures of Taiwan and mainland China and the subtle differences within them. The study was conducted as part of the requirements of doctoral program in Instructional Design and Development at a public university in the southeastern United States. Using a qualitative case study approach, the study demonstrates that there are cultural similarities between mainland China and Taiwan, however instructors should also be aware of the differences when developing relationships with students and developing course content. Phonics Instruction has had a controversial history. How to teach phonics to Spanish-speaking ELs is also controversial. Understanding the differences between Spanish and English and how phonics instruction occurs in each language would be insightful. Also, knowing how the nature of the two languages affects instruction would be beneficial. Furthermore, exploiting similarities between English and Spanish and examining differences will bolster instruction. This paper will discuss the reasons for word study and how it may be utilized to teach spelling and decoding to Spanish-speaking ELLs.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพและความต้องการจำเป็นในการพัฒนาความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาเชิงสร้างสรรค์ 2) เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบฯ 3) เพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้รูปแบบฯ และ 4) เพื่อนำเสนอรูปแบบฯ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการพัฒนารูปแบบ คือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ จำนวน 7 คน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ นิสิตนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาบัณฑิต จำนวน 29 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ แบบประเมินรูปแบบ โลกเสมือนจริง แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบประเมินความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาเชิงสร้างสรรค์ และแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นในการเรียนด้วยรูปแบบฯ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที (t-test) และ One-Way ANOVA ผลการวิจัยพบว่า รูปแบบการเรียนโดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานและเทคนิคการคิดนอกกรอบบนโลกเสมือนจริง ประกอบด้วย 4 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ 1) ผู้เรียน และผู้สอนในฐานะผู้อำนวยการเรียนรู้ 2) โลกเสมือนจริง 3) การเรียนโดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิคการคิดนอกกรอบ และ 4) การประเมินการแก้ปัญหาเชิงสร้างสรรค์ของผู้เรียน ขั้นตอนการเรียนมี 7 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ 1) การเข้าสู่โลกเสมือนจริงและมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ร่วมกันในกลุ่ม 2) การนำเสนอประเด็นปัญหาภายในกลุ่ม 3) การค้นคว้ารวบรวมข้อมูลจากแหล่งทรัพยากรการเรียนรู้เพื่อแก้ปัญหา 4) การพิจารณาแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาร่วมกันภายในกลุ่ม 5) การสร้างผลงานสร้างสรรค์ร่วมกันบนโลกเสมือนจริง 6) การทบทวนและนำเสนอผลงานแบบออนไลน์ และ 7) การประเมินการเรียนรู้ วิธีการแก้ปัญหา และผลงาน จากการศึกษาผลการใช้รูปแบบการเรียนฯ พบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยของคะแนนความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาเชิงสร้างสรรค์ จากการทดลองในครั้งที่ 1 3 และ 5 สูงขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
