(Oct. 15, 2021) – The internationally renowned British vocal ensemble VOCES8 will perform a program juxtaposing Renaissance music with jazz and pop at East Tennessee State University in the ETSU Foundation Grand Hall of the Martin Center for the Arts on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m.

Their program includes works by Byrd, Britten, Rachmaninov, Palestrina and Bach, as well as VOCES8-styled standards including “Me and My Shadow,” “I Won’t Dance,” “Cheek to Cheek” and “Straighten Up and Fly Right.”

The gender wage gap is the difference between what women and men earn for performing full-time, year-round paid work. Nationally, women earn 16–18% less than men. Although the gap has substantially narrowed from 41% when the Equal Pay Act was passed in 1963, varying reports estimate that, depending on the rate of change, it may take anywhere from 40 to 130 years to close the gap. Estimates suggest that over a 40-year career, the wage gap can amount to a lifetime earnings deficit of $80k to $800k. In Utah, women earn approximately 30% less than men, ranking close to last …

“Approximately 3 million Americans have a heterozygous mutation of ATM,” said Dr. Suman Dalal, assistant professor in the Department of Health Sciences. “Individuals with ATM mutations show enhanced vulnerability to ischemic heart disease and die 11 years earlier than the non-carriers.”

This paper explores the importance of multiple factors in the digital marketing of dance organizations. Idaho's only professional ballet company, Ballet Idaho, is used as a case study to determine which marketing strategies are the most beneficial.
