JOHNSON CITY – To conclude its 2021-22 season, the Department of Theatre and Dance at East Tennessee State University will present the Appalachian love story musical “Bright Star.” The show will be performed in the Bert C. JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Students interested in a career in medicine now have a new pathway to achieve that goal thanks to two articulation agreements between East Tennessee State University and Carteret Community College that expand advanced degree opportunities offered 100% online.
The agreement provides students who achieve an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Assisting or Science Radiography at Carteret Community College, located in Morehead City, North Carolina, with the opportunity to transfer those credits to ETSU to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree.

The team of four students in the ETSU Equity Valuation team gained real-world experience as they assumed the role of research analyst. JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 23, 2022) – This year marks Dr. Brian Noland’s 10th anniversary as President of East Tennessee State University. In honor of that milestone, community leaders from across the region have come together to launch a new scholarship program. The program, named the Noland Family First-Generation Scholarship Endowment, aims to assist low-income students who are the first in their families to attend college.
The fund, which was announced in a surprise on-court ceremony during the ETSU men’s basketball game against Chattanooga tonight, has been established through the generous initial gifts of the following donors:
