JOHNSON CITY – East Tennessee State University’s Community Health Centers, managed by the College of Nursing, received approximately $1.9 million in grant funding from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) that will help provide continued and enhanced health care services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
On April 1, HRSA awarded more than $6 billion from the American Rescue Plan to Community Health Centers nationwide. JOHNSON CITY – (July 28, 2021) With increasing E-commerce and rising unemployment across the country, Cloud Wise Academy, an ETSU Innovation Lab affiliate member, is hosting a “WordPress for Beginners Workshop.” The six-week-long course is designed to teach one of the most in-demand website hosting technologies.

Yesterday afternoon, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced new recommendations regarding face coverings for fully-vaccinated individuals. This guidance comes in the wake of growing concerns over the Delta variant of COVID-19 and declining vaccine uptake rates.

JOHNSON CITY (July 6, 2021) — Dr. KariLynn Dowling-McClay, an assistant professor of Pharmacy Practice at East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, has received an $11,998 ETSU Research Development Committee (RDC) Grant to study pharmacist-prescribed contraception (PPC) as a means of filling the gap in regional access to birth control in Appalachia and the southern U.S.

KINGSPORT (July 6, 2021) — The young and young at heart are invited to an intergenerational fun camp Thursday, July 22, for grandparents and their grandchildren ages nine and up. The one-day Summer Fun Camp featuring The Art of Zentangle®, is sponsored by the Kingsport Alliance for Continued Learning (KACL), a continuing education program offered through a partnership with East Tennessee State University at Kingsport to provide adults, regardless of education background or age, opportunities to attend stimulating courses, lectures and special events.
