Emerging Market Firms’ Response To U.S. Economic Recession And The Subsequent Period’S Performance, Tewhan Hahn, Ravi Chinta

International Journal of Applied Management and Technology

We investigated the changes in behaviors of firms in emerging markets in response to the U.S. economic recession and the impact of those changes in strategic behaviors on subsequent periods’ operating performances. Specifically, we adopted an event-study methodology, using a sample of emerging market firms, to investigate the nature of the effects of the U.S. economic recession on firms in emerging markets. Based on 5,887 firms in nine emerging countries, our results show that firms in emerging markets exhibit changes in strategy variables, and those changes have a significant effect on the subsequent periods’ operating performance. Testing The Congruence Of Espousals And Enactments Predicting Team Innovation, Rylan M. Charlton

This study employs a social identity perspective (Hogg, 2008) to test whether perceptions of both espoused and enacted values drive team innovation, and tests whether both their level and congruence determine their impact on innovation. This relationship is tested in a multilevel latent polynomial regression model (MLPM) framework (Zyphur, Zammuto, & Zhang, 2016). The study also leverages block variable procedures (e.g., Edwards & Cable, 2009) to model the combined effects of espoused and enacted values, and tests whether these combined effects mediate between leader behavior and team innovation. Purpose: It consists in studying the dynamics of changes in the course of pedagogical experience of the accuracy of kicks under the influence of body rotation to the left and right in 15-16 year old taekwondo athletes. Taekwondo athletes aged 15-16 years, consisting of 12 people from the control and experimental groups, were involved in pedagogical practice classes held for 7 months.

JOHNSON CITY – (November 2, 2021) The new comedy “Men on Boats” will make its regional premiere this month as the Department of Theatre and Dance at East Tennessee State University kicks off its 2021-22 season.

Written by Jaclyn Backhaus, “Men on Boats” will be performed Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 18-20, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Bert C. Bach Theatre in the Martin Center for the Arts.  The production will be the first show presented in the new Bach Theatre.

Secondary traumatic stress (STS) can mimic symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) (Bride, 2007). These symptoms include having dreams and flashbacks of the traumatic event, avoiding activities or places that might remind someone of the traumatic event, having sleep issues, being irritable, difficulty concentrating, or being hypervigilant. In this video, child welfare staff share how the trauma they experience as part of their job affects them, including physical and emotional reactions and the desire to leave the field. The QIC-WD worked with the Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services (DMPCS) to establish an implementation team to lead the development and implementation of the workforce project. The implementation team was composed of representatives from Human Resources; Quality Assurance; DMCPS frontline staff, supervisors, and administrators; Department of Children and Families state office leaders, the Site Implementation Manager (SIM), and three members of the QIC-WD (representing expertise in workforce, implementation, and evaluation).
