Our team will conduct secondary and primary research to analyze the business podcast industry, as well as our client Upside FM. Through extensive research on both the industry and company, we will develop a city-by-city analysis to understand the local communities, emerging business prospects, potential sponsors in the area, and competitors as well. Factoring in all the aforementioned knowledge and analyses, we will arrive at conclusions as to the optimal cities for Upside's expansion. Other recommendations will include current media competition and ways they could improve the content and structure of their business model.

Networks need the ability to be access by secure accounts and users. The goal of this project is to configure and expand on LDAP configurations with considerations for AAA via TACACS+ and Radius for network equipment. This will provide adequate security for any given network in terms of access and prevent lose of access to devices which happens all to often with locally configured accounts on devices.

Although users often express strong positive intentions to follow security policies, these positive intentions fail to consistently translate to behavior. In a security setting, the inconsistency between intentions and behavior—termed the intention-behavior gap—is particularly troublesome, as a single failure to enact positive security intentions may make a system vulnerable. We address a need in security compliance literature to better understand the intention-behavior gap by explaining how an omnipresent competing intention—the user’s desire to minimize required effort—negatively moderates the relationship between positive intentions and actual security behavior. Purpose

The aim of this viewpoint paper is to refine the meaning of “leadership as an art” in the context of wicked (complex) social problems and in the realm of contemporary leadership research and practice.

Design/methodology/approach

In this paper we explore the meaning of “leadership as an art,” a concept often alluded to but rarely defined concretely. The authors examine the concept by comparing artistic and scientific knowledge paradigms, identifying descriptors of the “leadership as art” concept appearing in the literature and illustrating key attributes of the “leadership as art” concept with real-world examples.

Don't Call Us, We'll Call You: An Empirical Study Of Caller Behavior Under A Callback Option, Brett A. Hathaway, Seyed Morteza Emadi, Vinayak Deshpande

While call centers have recently invested in callback technology, the impact of this innovation on caller behavior and call center performance is not clearly understood. Using call center data from a US commercial bank, we perform an empirical study of the callers' decision-making process in the presence of a callback option. We formulate a structural model of the caller decision-making process, and impute their underlying preferences from the data. Our estimates show that callers experience substantially less discomfort per unit of time while waiting for callbacks than while waiting in queue. Quantitative investing relies on stable data generating processes and limited human involvement, which could create lower flexibility in the face of changing economic conditions. In this study, we examine quantitative investors’ ability to navigate a common and material change to the financial data generating process: new accounting standards. We find that returns of quantitative mutual funds temporarily decrease following the implementation of standards that change the definition of key accounting variables. The lower performance we document is relative to more traditional “discretionary” funds that rely heavily on human skill and judgment to make day-to-day investment decisions. In this paper, we review a few key themes of Ting-Peng (TP) Liang’s research. We first discuss some of his major contributions to information systems (IS) in the areas of electronic commerce, mobile commerce, and crowd commerce. Future research directions for these three themes are also discussed in the paper. TP Liang is also an early proponent of stage models although this stream of research has yet to receive the importance it deserves in the IS community. Reputation research often employs rankings which combine both the prominence and perceived quality dimensions of reputation. Though this approach has merit, it neglects nuances in the formation of perceived firm quality – i.e., how stakeholders perceive a firm’s capabilities. Since perceptions are influenced by how information is presented, we posit that the patterns of a firm’s performances – their order and interval – explain variance in perceived quality beyond valence (absolute performance level), alone. This study intends to provide theory-driven empirical findings of the factors affecting users’ loyalty to a collaborative commerce platform provider and further suggests that the platform loyalty lead to future extended use of collaborative commerce services. DeLone and McLean model serves as a basic framework for this study.
