JOHNSON CITY – (Jan. 7, 2021) Infants, toddlers and pre-school children rely on facial cues from their teachers and even watch how their mouths move when words are formed.  And while masks are essential during this global pandemic, a grant awarded to the Little Bucs Childcare Program at East Tennessee State University is making it possible for teachers to wear clear facial masks in the classrooms.

Little Bucs is part of the Clemmer College and provides childcare for ETSU students.  The masks are funded through a grant from the Association of Infant Mental Health in Tennessee.

Purpose: The purpose of this sequential explanatory mixed methods study was to identify and describe the leadership strategies that exemplary chief nurse executives use in inpatient acute care hospitals located in Southern California to create an organizational culture of inclusiveness using Kennedy’s (2008) 5 leadership qualities of cultural differences.

The main aim of this study is to analyse the joint effects of customer segmentation, borrowers' characteristics and modelling techniques on the classification accuracy of a scoring model for agribusinesses. To this end, we used data provided by a Chilean company on 161,163 loans from January 2007 to December 2013. We considered random forest, neural network and logistic regression models as analytical methods. Regarding the borrowers' profiles, we examined the effects of socio-demographic, repayment-behaviour, agribusiness-specific and credit-related variables. This study investigates challenges posed by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the enactment of Information Systems (IS) project control. Using the control perspective developed by the sociologist John Law, we conducted an interpretive study of an Enterprise Resource Planning System implementation at a large public university system. From our investigation, four salient insights emerge. These insights are accompanied by corresponding assertions that demonstrate how ICTs, through varied forms of involvement, may challenge IS project control enactment. We integrate these insights for deeper illumination and conclude with contributions and implications of this study.

This paper examined online sentiment, key themes and patterns evident in social media activity about digital entrepreneurship. It provides a snapshot-in-time, visual-first perspective on social media user-generated-content (UGC) to better understand the topic of digital entrepreneurship. Global data consisting of 31,017 publicly available UGC which used the #digitalentrepreneurship (hashtag) and the keywords ‘digital entrepreneurship’ were collected. A computer assisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS), Leximancer, was used for an automated text-mining analysis. There is positive online sentiment surrounding digital entrepreneurship technology, ecosystem and industry, and one which promotes women transformation of digital entrepreneurship globally. This study explores promotion of peer/professional networking opportunities in online MBA programs as compared with on-campus MBA programs through content analysis of the landing pages of 152 accredited MBA programs. Results of statistical analysis suggest that online MBA program marketers are not promoting peer/professional networking and relying heavily on promotion of program flexibility and value. This prompts a discussion of whether online MBA program marketers should promote networking more aggressively, whether the meaning of networking as applied to today’s business world needs to be revisited, or both.

Foods with “clean labels,” that is, foods with few ingredients, may mitigate the stigma from the lack of healthfulness in processed food products. However, with conventional technologies, clean labels are difficult to achieve. We conducted a survey, including choice experiment scenarios, in which half of the respondents were presented scenarios to purchase a shelf‐stable ready meal with a clean label/fewer ingredients, and the other half were presented scenarios including the clean label/fewer ingredients and a new technology that al-lows for processed foods to be produced with fewer ingredients. In the context of the external disruption presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we investigate (1) how individual-level resilience and inter-functional coordination relate to organizational resilience and (2) the link between organizational resilience and firm performance. We view organizational resilience as a resource-based capability and draw on insights regarding psychological capital and relational resources to inform our hypotheses. Our hypotheses are tested with a time-lagged, multi-level study of young technology ventures. The results show that when such firms are resilient, they tend to perform significantly better in a crisis.
