This study attempted to answer the question of how well the Qatari Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) managed the blockade crisis in the food sector, reaching the “recovery” stage, and how it could turn the threat resulting from the crisis into an opportunity for food self-sufficiency and sustainable development. The study is informed by the constructivist theoretical paradigm, with exploratory, descriptive and analytical approaches. Communicating on the “good” a company is doing may seem like it would yield a positive outcome; however, such is not always the case. Previous studies have found that CEOs manage their firms through traditional methods such as leadership and management practices. In this study, we investigate how the parasocial relationship (PSR) between middle-level managers and CEOs affects the organizational trust and the organizational identification (OI) of middle managers. We find that the PSR between middle managers and CEOs has a positive effect on the OI of middle managers, which is mediated by the organizational trust of middle managers.

By 6:30 a.m., he’s literally on the run.  The ROTC cadet spends Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at PT, or physical training.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, he is part of the Joe Callahan Running Club.

Which conditions treated by neurosurgeons cause the worst economic hardship in low middle-income in countries? How can public health financing be responsive to the inequities in the delivery of neurosurgical care? This review article frames the objectives of equity; quality; and efficiency in health financing to the goals of global neurosurgery. In order to glean provider perspectives on the affordability of neurosurgical care in low-resource settings; we did a survey of neurosurgeons from Indonesia and the Philippines and identified that the care of socioeconomically disadvantaged patients with malignant intracranial tumors were found to incur the highest out-of-pocket expenses. Arceo-Gomez was part of a team led by Dr. Na Wei of the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, Ohio, and Dr. Tia-Lynn Ashman of the University of Pittsburgh that conducted a National Science Foundation-funded study of a plant-pollinator system in the serpentine seep communities in northern California, which is a global biodiversity hotspot.

A fundamental issue within the Nigerian economy that has resulted in information and communication technology (ICT) mis-planning is the uncertainty surrounding how ICT value relates to ICT maturity. In response, the value-added intellectual coefficient model has been used to measure the value of ICT across sectors in the Nigerian stock exchange while their ICT maturity has been measured using the ICT maturity model for small-and-medium scale enterprises. The result has shown that the Nigerian economy is web based in ICT maturity with an index of about 0.67. The ICT value index has been estimated to be about 5.65, an indication …

The Fort Scott Foundry and Machine Works was established in 1869 by George A. Crawford, proprietor, and Frank J. Nutz, superintendent, in Fort Scott, Kansas. A. W. Walburn (1852-1930) built up the factory and foundry in the 1870s, later becoming proprietor with F. J. Nutz as superintendent. The foundry produced processing equipment that serviced many fields of production, including boilers, mining machinery, stoves, coal trucks, evaporation systems, sugar processors, saw mills, ore treatment, and farm equipment. Purpose Brexit introduced a range of new tariffs and non-tariff barriers that will significantly disrupt Irish beef exports, particularly to the UK market. Firms should be able to accurately anticipate the adverse effects of Brexit trade barriers on the flow of their products and change their practices accordingly. This research introduces a scenario planning solution based on a process simulation technology to investigate the implication of Brexit risks on Irish beef export performance. The Ancient Order of United Workmen (AOUW) was founded in Meadville, Pennsylvania in 1868 by John Jordan Upchurch as an organization to improve work environments and provide insurance for its members. By 1869, insurance became a main priority of the group as it was usually reserved for businessmen and manufacturers. By 1885, the AOUW was the largest fraternal group in the United States.

Thomas McNally Sr. and his wife, immigrants from Ireland and boilermakers in Wisconsin, accepted the Pittsburg Board of Trade’s offer to build a 40’ by 80’ wooden boiler shop for the McNally’s. Local coal mines needed his trade because they ran on steam engines and were growing in size and number. McNally expanded business to general repairs and machinery. We utilize a Generalized Exact Affine Stone Index system to evaluate the structure of residential water demand that recognizes demand interrelationship between residential and bottled water in the United States, allowing for precommitted consumption. Further, we address expenditure and price endogeneity by accounting for the supply side of the price determination mechanism. A significant substitutability relationship between residential and bottled water is found, while substantial precommitments are established in both residential and bottled water consumption. Residential demand becomes price-elastic once the precommitted level is reached. Finally, ignoring substitutability, precommitments, or endogeneity distorts the demand structure, resulting in erroneous policy implications.
