Red-green colorblindness is widespread, affecting up to 8% of men and 0.5% of women, primarily among those of Northern European descent [1]. This color vision deficiency often results in profound difficulty distinguishing between red and green. Medically speaking, the condition is most commonly caused by one of two conditions- protanopia or deuteranopia. The reception of Anglo-American contractual standards in droit civil countries is not as straightforward as it would seem at first glance. The language expressing notions such as “breach of contract,” “representations & warranties,” or “indemnities” cannot be merely copied into agreements subject to the law of droit civil countries. They need to be transposed thereto, i.e., rendered in terms of legal institutions characteristic of the legal systems of such countries, to achieve the same functional results as those achievable in the place of origin of such notions.

How come Open Science is a well-shared vision among research communities, while the prerequisite practice of research data management (RDM) is lagging? This research sheds light on RDM adoption in the Dutch context of universities of applied sciences, by studying influencing technological, organizational, and environmental factors using the TOE-framework. A survey was sent out to researchers of universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. Global supply chains have vulnerabilities, and these escalate in crisis times like pandemics or wars. Digital twinning of supply chains can provide early alerts and timely interventions. We examined three companies in different industries using Digital Twin (DT) technology to improve their supply chain performance. We found that while DT successfully enhanced performance indicators, the dollar and time costs were significant, creating barriers to wider DT adoption. We conclude by outlining the positives and negatives of implementing Digital Twins in global supply chains.

A 2024 book titled “How Sanctions Work, Iran and the Impact of Economic Warfare” by Narges Bajoghli, Vali Nasr, Djavad Salehi-Isfahani, and Ali Vaez argues that sanctions have had no impact on the behavior of the Islamic Republic in Iran (IR hereafter) and have instead inflicted pain on the ordinary Iranians. While the book does offer a useful description of the evolution of the sanctions against the IR, it fails in its analysis and conclusions.

While current law treats vertical restraints permissively, antitrust reformers have added this permissive treatment of vertical restraints to their list of proposed reforms.
