The purpose of this analysis was to identify potential high-value markets for selected WA fruits. The limited size of the domestic market, coupled with slowing population growth, makes a robust increase in export necessary to achieve the aspirational goal of ‘doubling the value of agriculture’ by 2025 (Radhakrishnan 2017). Building opportunities for WA produce through identifying export markets with the best potential return, underpinned by demand, is of prime importance. This report analyses the market opportunities for seven fruits — apples, avocados, grapes, melons, oranges, plums and strawberries. 2017 Fostering Whole Person Care Through A Care Coordination Network: Community Information Exchange San Diego, The Caster Family Center For Nonprofit And Philanthropic Research, University Of San Diego

2-1-1 San Diego commissioned the University of San Diego’s Caster Family Center for Nonprofit and Philanthropic Research to conduct the Community Information Exchange (CIE) Cohort 2 evaluation, which focused on the senior (defined as ages 60+) population in the San Diego region.

Using a technology platform where agencies can enter and share client data, CIE strives to foster whole person care for the populations it serves (e.g., homeless, seniors, military), as well as reduce duplicative intakes and services provided by healthcare and social service agencies. By consenting into CIE, clients give permission for data sharing and may receive multiple referrals …

The School of Accountancy is excited to report that we continue to rank in the “Top 50” graduate and undergraduate programs in The Public Accounting Report 2017 Annual Rankings. For programs with 17 or fewer faculty members, the undergraduate program is ranked #3 and the masterʼs program is ranked #8. The overall ranking of all schools placed the undergraduate program at #40 and the masterʼs program at #50. The School of Accountancy continues to receive national recognition for our faculty and programs.

Top Finish In National Real Estate Investing Competition, Usu Jon M. Huntsman School Of Business

A team of Huntsman School students placed third in a national real estate competition, ahead of Harvard, BYU, Wisconsin Madison, Pepperdine and others in the 2016 Real Confidence University Challenge. The annual competition, comprised of 32 universities and colleges with over 190 students, gives hands-on learning experience in public and private commercial real estate investing. The performance of each sectorʼs weighted investment selection was calculated with its respective benchmark return data provided by NAREIT, NCREIF, Markit and Giliberto-Levy Commercial Mortgage Performance Index. Each university team is allocated $1 billion in theoretical capital among a variety of commercial real estate investment …

This summer, I spent several weeks in Southeast Asia on a Global Learning Experience with the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. We traveled to Vietnam, Thailand, China, and Hong Kong to meet with businesses, government agencies, and international organizations. Our group included Dean Anderson, Dr. Vijay Kannan, Dr. Zsolt Ugray, and 13 students in various majors in the Huntsman School of Business.

This report provides a discussion of the current knowledge and related background information surrounding seawater intrusion pathways and potential impacts thereof on the Salinas Valley Groundwater Basin. The report also serves as a body of evidence to catalogue the findings used to support the six recommendations presented. Each recommendation can be implemented on its own or in concert with the others, and the relative importance of each is discussed individually in this report. This study will focus on the impact of a KPI-driven shared service dynamic fee model on shared office solution (SOS) shared service group within the majority shareholder’s organization. Once tested and proven, the conceptual model can be expanded across all shared service groups including being applied against the historical fee model.
