JOHNSON CITY (Jan. 9, 2020) – Four a cappella ensembles from East Tennessee State University will compete in the South Region quarterfinals of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) on Jan. 25.
ETSU’s Greyscale, Swashbucklers, Harmonium and Ascension will compete against five ensembles from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and one from the University of Memphis in the quarterfinal, which will be held on the UT campus in Knoxville.

JOHNSON CITY – (January 8, 2020) A scholarship program at East Tennessee State University that helps develop artists for the 21st century is being named in honor of longtime Tennessee higher education leader Dr. Bert C. Bach, who retired from ETSU this month following more than 25 years of service as the institution’s top academic official.
The Bert C. Bach Fine and Performing Arts Scholarship Program is offered through the ETSU Honors College. Students chosen for this highly competitive program receive a full academic tuition scholarship for four years.

Martin School of the Arts, according to school Director Anita DeAngelis, because starting in fall 2020, the Martin School will hold most of its events in the James C. and Mary B. JOHNSON CITY (Jan. 8, 2020) – Dr. Patricia Harnois-Church, assistant professor at East Tennessee State University’s College of Nursing, was recognized for her virtual poster highlighting her research on the role of interest groups in shaping U.S. governmental responses to military sexual trauma (MST).
Harnois-Church earned first place in the faculty division of the Rural Health Association of Tennessee’s Fourth Annual Virtual Poster Competition. Her virtual poster went on to win “First Place Overall,” earning the highest score of all 31 virtual poster submissions.

The pursuit of the whole person through models like 3H (head, heart, hands) my miss a critical physical aspect within which the wholeness develops and exists. One such aspect originates at the earth’s two versions. Humankind has a good understanding of one version and little if any of the second. Such lack of knowledge would adversely affect the development and maintenance of human wholeness. This proposal considers a workshop at the 2020 Learning and Teaching Forum to address this knowledge deficiency in University of Dayton’s community through participative knowledge processing and systems thinking.

There are a growing number of Open Educational Resources (OER) available worldwide to teach a wide range of courses at various learning levels. Hyler (2006) has listed motives for OER initiatives for institutions such as right to education for all, sharing of knowledge as basis of academics, leveraging tax payer’s money for the common good, better use of resources by reducing costs, good public relations tool, diversity in business models. JOHNSON CITY (Jan. 6, 2020) – The significant career accomplishments of six professionals and graduates of East Tennessee University were highlighted during the College of Business and Technology Hall of Fame Awards ceremony.
The college presented three categories of awards – Horizon Award, Award of Excellence and Lifetime Achievement Award – to alumni with noteworthy achievements in business, technology, and public or community service.

This article aims to present Design for Enterprises (DfE) tender project, founded by the European Commission, designed and provided by the Consortium composed by D’Appolonia, MIP/Politecnico di Milano and ADI. DfE has been settled as a training program on design-driven innovation customized in order to prepare intermediary business development organizations to support SMEs managers and entrepreneurs. In a sample of Canadian Ph.D.’s, Warman and Worswick (2010) report that forty-two percent obtained their degree at thirty-four years of age or older. One implication is that those starting their academic career vary in age. As a result, academic labor markets provide a somewhat unique way to investigate the outcomes of workers of different age with similar work experience. This study uses a national sample of over 9,000 faculty to look at the relationship between age at the time a person earns their degree and income. The purpose of this study was to identify and describe the perceptions of high school assistant principals and high school counselors regarding the impact of cyberbullying on high school students in southern California. The study also sought to identify strategies and prevention programs essential to counteract cyberbullying as perceived by high school assistant principals and high school counselors.
