Demographics, Activities, And Environmental Factors Impact Burnout In A National Survey Of Emergency Medicine Residents, Nicole Battaglioli, Tim P. Moran, Simiao Li-Sauerwine

Introduction: Burnout in emergency medicine and in residency training has been well-described. The impact of demographic, individual, and programmatic factors on burnout have not previously been determined in a national survey of emergency medicine residents. This study aimed to identify personal and environmental factors impacting resident burnout in a national sample of emergency medicine residents.
Methods: A prospective Emergency Medicine Resident Wellness Survey was administered in 2017. We surveyed respondents on demographic, personal, and environmental factors; each respondent also completed the Maslach Burnout Inventory - Human Services Survey. JOHNSON CITY (June 18, 2021) — Dr. Istvan Karsai, a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at East Tennessee State University, along with former ETSU Basler chairholders George Kampis and Thomas Schmickl, hope to spur discussions about the ways in which mathematics can help researchers better understand ecology, how ecology can provide new ways of thinking in mathematics, and how all of that as mathematical biology relates to such events as climate change and their effect on the world’s organisms.

JOHNSON CITY – (June 17, 2021) East Tennessee State University and BrightRidge celebrated the installation of eight electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on campus today. The project marked the 100th installation by Seven States Power Corporation in the Tennessee Valley.
The stations are funded through student fees and powered by BrightRidge, which is providing the electric fuel. Seven States Power Corporation, an energy solutions company, is serving as project manager.

Blaine Amendments And The Judiciary: An Analysis Of Government Aid To Religious Schools, Dustin A. Robinson

First introduced in 1875, Blaine Amendments restrict private, parochial schools from utilizing publicly acquired funds. While the federally proposed Blaine Amendment died on the Senate floor, 37 states have adopted constitutional language that limits and/or bars religious schools from receiving public funds. Fraught with bigotry and labeled as discriminatory, such measures have not gone without challenge and the judicial system has delivered numerous decisions on funding public and private schools. However, jurisprudence reveals significant shifts in court decisions over time. Through analysis of Supreme Court cases from Everson v. Board of Education (1947) to Espinoza v. JOHNSON CITY (June 16, 2021) – Cloud Wise Academy, an East Tennessee State University Innovation Lab affiliate member, recently concluded a six-week-long course designed to teach valuable coding skills and train students for technology professions.
The Website Coding for Beginners course was the first coding experience for most students, and they learned to create websites with HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Through this course and others, Cloud Wise Academy’s mission is to train and equip the region’s workforce with online marketing and technology skills. Additionally, the course aligns with the Innovation Lab’s mission to champion entrepreneurs and promote innovation.

Purpose: The purpose of our research is to increase the level of pre-competitive readiness of highly qualified sambo wrestlers at the stage of sports improvement .
Methods: The study uses methods of analysis of scientific and methodological literature, questionnaires; pedagogical observations; medical and biological research methods; control tests on a five-stage program for increasing general and special physical fitness; pedagogical experiment; mathematical and statistical analysis of the data obtained.

Purpose: The purpose of our research is to develop technologies for the development of flexible qualities of preschoolers using a set of static-stretching exercises.
Methods: The study uses methods of analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, self-examination and mathematical statistics.
Results: As a result of the study, it was found that in children 6-7 years old with the help of a set of static-stretching exercises, the quality of elasticity increases by 19%.

The event, for which a total of 20 student applicants must be pre-screened and accepted, will offer eight master classes instructed by nine, seasoned Broadway performers along with special guest, Broadway musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell, and four East Tennessee State University professors.

JOHNSON CITY (June 9, 2021) – Garrett Hall, a May 2021 graduate of East Tennessee State University’s Radiologic Science Program, is still celebrating his academic and professional achievements more than a month after commencement.
Within weeks of receiving his diploma from ETSU, he took and passed the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Purpose: The purpose of this study is to improve the special motor abilities of gymnasts aged 13-14 years in group exercises based on the distribution of special physical exercises in the preparatory period .

Gender roles normalize thinking patterns, behaviors, actions, and attitudes. The workplace is not immune to their influence. Gender roles make certain labor invisible, either because it does not typically fit with the expectations of a determined gender group, or because it is deemed normal and therefore expected.
This report condenses the narratives of 11 non-exempt women administrative assistants at the University of Dayton in reference to how vocation, belonging, and courage are affected by gender. Amidst well-documented gender differences in negotiation and gender wage gaps in academia, ensuring gender equity in faculty start-up negotiations is an important part of the University of Dayton’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The current investigation examined the faculty start-up negotiation process at the University of Dayton from the perspective of department chairs and new tenure-track faculty hires with an emphasis on gender differences in the initiation and outcomes of negotiations as well as potential underlying factors that may contribute to gender disparities.

JOHNSON CITY (June 3, 2021) – East Tennessee State University’s Center for Cardiovascular Risks Research is collaborating with researchers from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and other key academic partners across the state to create a statewide network to identify, develop and implement patient-centered approaches to improve quality of care and outcomes for people with cardiovascular disease.
