Modern Moroccan theatre was born with non-professional artists and has remained intimately linked to this milieu. Unlike professional playwrights, non-professional artists have never bowed to the demands of political authorities, whether it be the French administration or the local Makhzen. They used this artistic medium as a forum for debate and resistance against the oppressor. This freedom of expression operated not just at the political level but also at the aesthetic level. Whereas the written theatre relatively received an acceptable treatment from the official instances of recognition, the non-written one has always been excluded. The Secret Garden tells the story of Mary Lennox, a young English girl from British Raj who is sent to live in Yorkshire, England with her relatives after her parents die in a cholera outbreak. A group of teenagers are left to their own devices as their parents leave for the summer to hit the vaudeville circuit. However, problems arise when the local sheriff vows to send them to a work farm unless they prove their mettle. Within two weeks, the group pushes forward …

This study was designed to investigate the recent trends of non-traditional theatre spaces in the Czech Republic. By profiling four theatres, called “found-transformed” spaces for the purposes of this paper, the study‟s original aim was to draw a conclusion about the impulses for the creation and use of these spaces within the Czech context. The four spaces were: Divadlo Tramtarie in Olomouc, Moving Station in Plzen, Divadlo Těchonice in Těchonice, and Kulturní Dům Rozkrok in Varnsdorf. Methodologies employed include personal interview, observation of both the spaces and some of the work performed in the space, and research of theoretical texts …

The Last Night of Ballyhoo takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, in December of 1939. Gone with the Wind is having its world premiere, and Hitler is invading Poland, but Atlanta's elitist German Jews are much more concerned with who is going to Ballyhoo, the social event of the season. Events take several unexpected turns as the characters face where they come from and are forced to deal with who they really are.
