วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง การสร้างสรรค์การแสดงหุ่นเรื่องพระพุทธเจ้าผ่านสื่อดิจิทัล เป็นการวิจัยเชิงทดลอง ที่มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างสรรค์สื่อการแสดงหุ่นไทยรูปแบบใหม่ผ่านสื่อดิจิทัล โดยมีเนื้อหาหลักธรรมผ่านการเล่าเรื่องพุทธประวัติสู่กลุ่มผู้ชมเป้าหมายคือเด็กช่วงอายุ 6-10 ปีจำนวน 40 คนที่สามารถเข้าถึงและใช้สื่อออนไลน์ได้ด้วยตัวเองและไม่คุ้นเคยกับเนื้อหาในการแสดงนี้มาก่อน ประกอบกับการสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านสื่อ ด้านการแสดง และด้านพุทธศาสนาจำนวน 12 คน มีการทดลองสร้างสรรค์สื่อการแสดงหุ่นในรูปแบบ 3D print เรื่องพระพุทธประวัติในรูปแบบสื่อดิจิทัลเผยแพร่ในสื่อโซเชียลมีเดียจำนวน 2 ตอน (ตอน “แพะรับบาป” เกี่ยวกับศีลไม่ฆ่าสัตว์ความยาว 12 นาทีและตอน “คนเหมือนกัน” เกี่ยวกับการกลั่นแกล้งความยาว 9.30 นาที และเก็บข้อมูลผ่านระบบออนไลน์จากกลุ่มเป้าหมายมาประมวลผล ผลวิจัยพบว่า กระบวนการสร้างสรรค์สื่อดิจิทัลมีต้นทุนต่ำและมีกระบวนการผลิตที่รวดเร็ว เพราะใช้บุคลากรและขั้นตอนการผลิตน้อยกว่าแบบเดิม หลังชมผลงานสื่อการแสดงในระบบสื่อดิจิทัล ผู้ชมกลุ่มเป้าหมายได้ตระหนักรู้ถึงหลักธรรมของพุทธศาสนา มีความรู้ความเข้าใจพุทธประวัติมากขึ้น และชื่นชอบการแสดงหุ่นที่กระชับสวยงามสนุกสนานเข้าใจง่ายและเข้าถึงสถานการณ์ปัจจุบันผ่านเทคโนโลยีการสร้างสรรค์สื่อดิจิทัลที่เหมาะสมกับกลุ่มเป้าหมาย ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับความเห็นของผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ผู้วิจัยหวังว่างานวิจัยนี้สามารถเป็นแรงบันดาลใจและเป็นทางเลือกใหม่ในการแสดงหุ่นไทยผ่านสื่อดิจิทัลแก่ศิลปินและนักวิชาการงานศิลป์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในช่วงสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดโควิด 19 อีกทั้งเป็นแนวทางใหม่ในการอนุรักษ์สืบสานและพัฒนาศิลปะการแสดงหุ่นไทยให้ดำรงอยู่ต่อไปในโลกอนาคต

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องพระอินทร์ในนาฏกรรมไทยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการแสดงของตัวละครพระอินทร์ในนาฏกรรมไทย ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ด้วยการศึกษาเอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์ และการชมการแสดง โดยศึกษาจากนาฏกรรมที่จัดแสดงโดยหน่วยงานสังกัดกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม และเป็นตัวละครพระอินทร์ที่มีรูปแบบการรำตัวพระ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า พระอินทร์มีฐานะเป็นอธิเทพและเป็นตัวละครสำคัญในนาฏกรรมไทย ตัวละครพระอินทร์มีคุณลักษณะสำคัญในการแสดงจากปัจจัย 3 ประการ คือ คติความเชื่อทางศาสนา ความเชื่อของสังคมไทย และวรรณคดีไทย ที่ส่งผลต่อการแสดงในด้านสถานภาพ ฐานานุศักดิ์ หน้าที่ เทวานุภาพ อันนำมาสู่การกำหนดบุคลิกลักษณะ องค์ประกอบการแสดง รวมถึงการออกแบบการแสดงและกระบวนท่ารำที่เป็นแบบแผนเฉพาะ บทบาทสำคัญของพระอินทร์คือเป็นผู้คอยให้ความช่วยเหลือผู้ตกทุกข์ได้ยาก โดยสอดส่องดูแลโลกมนุษย์และไปช่วยเหลือตัวละครได้อย่างทันท่วงที บทบาทของพระอินทร์แฝงไว้ด้วยแง่คิด คติธรรม คำสอน ตามแนวทางพระพุทธศาสนา องค์ประกอบการแสดงสำคัญที่บ่งบอกลักษณะเฉพาะของพระอินทร์ในนาฏกรรมไทยได้อย่างชัดเจนคือการแต่งกายยืนเครื่องพระสีเขียวสดเพราะมีกายสีเขียว สวมศิราภรณ์ชฎายอดเดินหนเพราะมักมีบทบาทเดินทางไปในเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ มีวชิราวุธทำให้เกิดสายฟ้าฟาดเป็นอาวุธประจำกาย มีกระบวนรำเฉพาะตนแทรกอยู่ในการแสดงโขนและละครเพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้เห็นความสำคัญของพระอินทร์ในฐานะอธิเทพที่มาปรากฏในเวทีละคร จึงเป็นช่วงที่ผู้แสดงจะได้อวดฝีมือในบทบาทพระอินทร์ได้อย่างเต็มภาคภูมิ การแสดงพระอินทร์ปรากฏเป็นรูปธรรมที่ชัดเจน มีการอนุรักษ์ สร้างสรรค์ สืบทอด และพัฒนามาอย่างต่อเนื่องจนเป็นแบบแผนของการแสดงในปัจจุบัน ผู้วิจัยขอเสนอว่าควรศึกษาต่อยอดเกี่ยวกับพระอินทร์ในศิลปะการแสดงพื้นบ้าน โดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเชิงวิชาการของศิลปะการแสดงประเภทต่างๆ ให้ครอบคลุมเพื่อใช้เป็นฐานข้อมูลองค์ความรู้ทางนาฏกรรมไทยต่อไปได้

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง การอนุรักษ์และพัฒนานาฏยศิลป์ของภาควิชานาฏยศิลป์ คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการวิเคราะห์การแสดงที่อนุรักษ์และพัฒนาของภาควิชานาฏยศิลป์ คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย วิธีดำเนินวิจัยด้วยการค้นคว้าเอกสาร สัมภาษณ์ และสังเกตการณ์ ผลวิจัยพบว่า ภาควิชานาฏยศิลป์มีจุดมุ่งหมายให้นิสิตผู้ศึกษามีทั้งกระบวนการอนุรักษ์และกระบวนการพัฒนาควบคู่กันไป ไม่ได้มุ่งเน้นไปทางใดทางหนึ่ง เป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ที่ให้นิสิตได้ฝึกประสบการณ์วิชาชีพทั้งจากการศึกษาและการแสดงผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการศึกษา ฝึกการดำเนินงานร่วมกันเป็นหมู่คณะ ส่งผลให้นิสิตเกิดสำนึกที่ดีต่อการพัฒนางานทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ก่อให้เกิดความภาคภูมิใจต่อทั้งตัวนิสิตและภาควิชานาฏยศิลป์ มีการผลิตศิลปินบัณฑิตที่มีความสามารถในการแสดงที่หลากหลายและเป็นนักวิชาการทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์สู่สังคมนาฏยศิลป์ไทยอย่างสม่ำเสมอ การอนุรักษ์ผลงานทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ของภาควิชานาฏยศิลป์จึงถือเป็นการพัฒนาความสามารถของผู้ศึกษาทางด้านนาฏยศิลป์ โดยวิเคราะห์จากกรณีศึกษาละครภาควิชานาฏยศิลป์เฉพาะนาฏยศิลป์ไทยทั้งหมด 8 เรื่อง ได้ข้อสรุปว่าตลอดระยะเวลา 31 ปี ภาควิชานาฏยศิลป์ เกิดกระบวนการสร้างงานนาฏยศิลป์ในรูปแบบต่าง ๆ ที่สนองต่อนโยบายของจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย สำนักงานคณะกรรมการอุดมศึกษาและประเทศชาติ ในการปรับเปลี่ยนองค์ประกอบของการแสดงก็ยังคงไว้ซึ่งโครงสร้างของละครต้นแบบ ปรับเปลี่ยนรูปแบบของการแสดงไปตามตัวแปรต่าง ๆ โดยไม่ขัดต่อจารีต เพื่อให้การแสดงมีความเหมาะสมกับเหตุการณ์หรือสถานนั้น ถือเป็นการเพิ่มมูลค่าให้กับงานทางด้านนาฏกรรมที่มีมาแต่เดิมให้สอดรับกับความต้องการของยุคสมัยและคงอยู่สืบไป

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ศึกษายี่เกเขมรสุรินทร์ ซึ่งเป็นการแสดงพื้นบ้านเพื่ออนุรักษ์ไว้ในฐานะพิพิธภัณฑ์ที่มีชีวิต ด้วยวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ จากเอกสาร การสัมภาษณ์ สังเกตการณ์ การลงภาคสนาม โดยมีขอบเขตการศึกษาการแสดงยี่เกเขมรในพื้นที่จังหวัดสุรินทร์ ตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึง พ.ศ. 2564 ผลวิจัยพบว่า ยี่เกเขมรสุรินทร์เป็นการแสดงอาชีพในชุมชนเขมรถิ่นไทยในอีสานใต้ ที่ได้รับอิทธิพลจากลิเกของกรุงเทพฯ ผ่านนครราชสีมา ซึ่งแพร่มาตามทางรถไฟสายกรุงเทพฯ-อุบลราชธานี และจากละครยี่เกบริเวณจังหวัดเสียมราฐของราชอาณาจักรกัมพูชา ประมาณพ.ศ. 2425 แล้วพัฒนาให้สอดคล้องกับวัฒนธรรมของชุมชน ยี่เกเขมรสุรินทร์ในปัจจุบันพบว่ามี 4 คณะ แต่ละคณะมีสมาชิกเป็นเครือญาติ ยี่เกเขมรสุรินทร์อยู่ในมีสภาวะเสื่อมถอยเนื่องจากไม่เป็นที่นิยมจึงขาดการสืบทอดการแสดง ศิลปินส่วนใหญ่สูงวัยและลดจำนวนลงอีกทั้งศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ก็มีน้อย โอกาสที่แสดงเป็นงานบันเทิง งานพิธีกรรม งานสาธิต และมีเพียงคณะเดียวที่จัดการแสดงได้เต็มรูปแบบ การแสดงยี่เกเขมรสุรินทร์มี 4 ขั้นตอนสำคัญ ขั้นแรก คือ การปลูกโรงชั่วคราวไม่หันหน้าไปทางตะวันตกและไม่แสดงใต้ถุนอาคาร ขั้นที่ 2 คือ การไหว้ครูและเบิกโรง ขั้นที่ 3 คือ การแสดงดำเนินเรื่องอย่างละคร และขั้นที่ 4 คือ การลาโรง องค์ประกอบการแสดง ได้แก่ บทละครซึ่งพัฒนามาจากบทละครนอกและนิทานพื้นบ้านเป็นภาษาเขมรถิ่นไทย ตัวละครแบ่งเป็นตัวพระ ตัวนาง ตัวรำประกอบบทซึ่งใช้ผู้หญิงแสดง และตัวเบ็ดเตล็ดใช้ผู้ชายแสดง ผู้แสดงร้องพร้อมรำทำบทและรำเพลงด้วยตนเอง วงดนตรีประกอบด้วยปี่ในบรรเลงทำนอง และกลองรำมะนา 2-4 ใบทำจังหวะ เพลงแบ่งเป็นเพลงรำทำบทกับเพลงรำชุดซึ่งมีทำนองของเขมรถิ่นไทย เครื่องแต่งกายเป็นแบบพื้นบ้านสีสดใส ตัวพระสวมเสื้อแขนสั้น นุ่งโจงกระเบนไหม สวมชฎา กรองคอ เข็มขัด กำไล ตัวนางสวมเสื้อแขนสั้นห่มสะไบ นุ่งซิ่นไหม สวมกระบังหน้า ตัวเบ็ดเตล็ดสวมหน้ากากรูปสัตว์ หรืออมนุษย์ อุปกรณ์ประจำกายทำด้วยไม้ที่มีน้ำหนักเบา รูปแบบการแสดงที่เด่นเป็นพิเศษคือ นางรำจะรำเป็นชุดอย่างพร้อมเพรียงเพื่อเป็นพื้นหลังของตัวละครเอกที่กำลังรำทำบทต่าง ๆ อยู่ ผู้วิจัยจะนำความรู้จากการวิจัยนี้ไปจัดทำเป็นหลักสูตรให้เยาวชนได้ฝึกหัด และแสดงเพื่ออนุรักษ์ยี่เกเขมรให้เป็นอัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมของเขมรถิ่นไทยสืบไป และขอเสนอแนะให้มีการค้นคว้าวิจัยการแสดงท้องถิ่นอื่น ๆ ที่ใกล้จะสูญหายเพื่ออนุรักษ์ไว้เป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของท้องถิ่นนั้นตลอดไป

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทและพระราชกรณียกิจของพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว เป็นวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพที่ใช้การวิจัยเอกสารประวัติศาสตร์ โดยศึกษาเฉพาะเบื้องหลังของการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานละคร ผลวิจัยพบว่า พระราชประวัติและผลงานนาฏกรรมแบ่งเป็นสี่ช่วงคือ ช่วงที่หนึ่ง ทรงพระเยาว์ (พ.ศ. 2423-2436) ทรงเรียนรู้เรื่องนาฏกรรมจากประสบการณ์ในราชสำนัก ช่วงที่สอง เสด็จประทับในประเทศอังกฤษ (พ.ศ. 2436-2445) ทรงศึกษาวิชาการตามระบบการศึกษา ได้ทอดพระเนตรการแสดงในโรงละครต่าง ๆ อย่างสนพระทัย ทรงดัดแปลงบท และทรงพระราชนิพนธ์บทละคร จัดและแสดงในโอกาสต่าง ๆ ช่วงที่สาม เมื่อเสด็จนิวัติพระนคร (พ.ศ.2445-2453) ทรงเพิ่มพูนประสบการณ์ในการจัดแสดงโขน และละครอย่างไทยและยุโรป ช่วงที่สี่ เมื่อทรงครองราชย์ (พ.ศ.2453-2468) ทรงเป็นพระมหากษัตริย์ที่ทรงเลือกใช้นาฏกรรมรูปแบบต่าง ๆ อย่างพิถีพิถัน เพื่อเป็นเครื่องมือสื่อความรู้ความคิดในการพัฒนาราษฎร เฉกเช่นการนำชาดกมาแสดงเป็นละครรำแฝงธรรมะแต่เดิมมา บทละครที่ทรงสร้างสรรค์มี 154 เรื่อง แบ่งเป็น 8 ประเภท ด้วยรูปแบบที่ทรงดำริขึ้นใหม่ แบบปรับปรุงของเดิม แบบแปลงจากเค้าเรื่องเดิม แบบแปลบทตรงคำต่อคำของต้นฉบับ และแบบคิดโครงเรื่องให้ด้นสด ทรงมีหลายบทบาท ทั้งพระราชนิพนธ์บทละคร ผู้อำนวยการแสดง ผู้กำกับการแสดง ผู้แสดงหลัก ผู้ออกแบบศิลป์ ผู้วิจัยและผู้วิจารณ์ ทรงสร้างนาฏกรรมเพื่อสื่อสารการแสดงให้คนดูตระหนักถึงการมีความรู้ มีอุดมการณ์ มีศิลปวัฒนธรรม การเป็นพลเมืองที่รู้จักหน้าที่ต่อตนเองต่อสังคมและประเทศชาติ ทรงศึกษาค้นคว้าวิจัยเชิงประจักษ์ แล้วทรงพระราชนิพนธ์บทและปรับปรุงแก้ไข ทรงสร้างนาฏกรรมจากภูมิรู้ ภูมิธรรม และภูมิปัญญา เน้นวาทกรรมของตัวละครเพื่อชี้แนะชี้นำและเตือนสติสังคมด้วยการสื่อสารที่เรียบง่ายได้ทั้งสาระความรู้และความบันเทิง จึงเป็นตัวอย่างในการใช้นาฏกรรมเพื่อพัฒนาคุณภาพของประชาชนและสังคมได้เป็นอย่างดีแม้ในปัจจุบัน นับเป็นพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอย่างหาที่สุดมิได้ และเสนอแนะให้มีการวิจัยในเรื่องนาฏกรรมกับการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตต่อไป

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a 12-week ankle-specific block progression training program on saut de chat leaping performance [leap height, peak power (PP), joint kinetics and kinematics], maximal voluntary isometric plantar flexion (MVIP) strength, and Achilles tendon (AT) stiffness. Dancers (training group n = 7, control group n = 7) performed MVIP at plantarflexed (10◦) and neutral ankle positions (0◦) followed by ramping isometric contractions equipped with ultrasound to assess strength and AT stiffness, respectively. This paper reports on insights gained from incorporating dance improvisation into a broader early years environmental education ethnographic research project. Findings are reported from a two-day workshop where a dancer was invited to work with young children to attune to the weather through their bodies. In these workshops, the practice of dance improvisation was used as a deliberate interference to disrupt the disconnected and disembodied ways in which weather is often taught to young children. The paper argues that when children attune with weather through the embodied and relational practice of dance improvisation, this challenges the common practice of learning …

This thesis paper captures research into historical examples of artistic performance pioneers who integrated multiple layers of imagery into complex dialogue and describes how this research inspired and influenced the creation of an original 17-minute video work, “Overlay.”. My interest throughout my MFA Thesis Project has been to understand the effect of fusing or layering multiple movement-based art forms, the application and integration of modern technology to established traditional stage performance, and the creation of engaging new art form.

Throughout history, dance is a powerful tool for expression of self or community. Art, especially dance, became a way to react to societal shifts and stalemates through means of storytelling. Through my choreography, I used history of modern dance such as the mother of modern dance, Isadora Duncan, an incredibly influential choreographer, Martha Graham, and her famous protege, Merce Cunningham. I used a combination of their methodology to choreograph my intrapersonal journey with dance and life.

The scope of this work is to address the functional deficits and symptoms experienced by those living with Parkinson’s Disease through movement interventions.

Chapter 1 offers a brief overview of current pharmacotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in Parkinson’s, focusing on dance in particular as a movement intervention that may be particularly suited to this population.

The purpose of this qualitative, narrative research study was to explore the experiences of current female leaders in pre-professional and professional ballet. These stories often remain untold, as leadership in ballet has been largely male-dominated. The study examined the stories of four female leaders in ballet, including their journey to leadership, leadership philosophy and protocol, and thoughts regarding the future of female leadership in ballet. This project explores the sociocultural and political implications of the use of the labels “mad” and “genius,” as they relate to two prominent 20th-century modern dance choreographers – Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham. Martha Graham is in multiple writings called a genius, both by critics and dancers. However, although a similarly prominent figure in the canon of modern dance, Alvin Ailey is not called a genius nearly as often. Corporeal Archives of HIV/AIDS: The Performance of Relation, explores how choreographers and theater artists in the early years of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in New York City used time and space to involve their audiences experientially in the project of grieving and rebuilding in the midst of the temporal chaos of mass death and illness (crisis time). A workshop was offered to local women in North Eastern Ohio who have experienced trauma and are facing uncomfortable emotions or unpleasant memories as a result. A guided body scan, Focusing Oriented Art directives, and improvisational movement explorations were employed to deepen awareness and understanding of the emotions and memories participants wished to have better control over. Three movement rhythms, which are central to the ancient feminine dance form popularly known as belly dance, were explored through improvisational movement both as a group and independently. English language teaching through volunteer tourism is growing along with the expectation for English acquisition. This thesis, entitled “En Croix,” began in Paris as a choreographic exploration of my struggle to reconcile my feminist and queer identity with my Roman Catholic upbringing. The strictness of my conservative religious background became an entry point to choreography, enabling me to create a solo with movements based on the Sign of the Cross—up, down, side, side. After returning to Los Angeles, I translated the choreography from the first solo into a second, breaking open the precise patterns and structures from solo one, and adding improvisation as a choreographic device; then, I completely abandoned the form of …
