The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta is a multi-faith, covenantal community united by a shared commitment to kindness, respect, and diversity, and it strives to use community accountability mechanisms to address harms that arise from unconscious bias. Currently, UUCA's commitment to diversity is falling short as the congregation struggles to use community accountability to address harm. The covenant is an essential part of the Unitarian Universalist faith tradition, and it has the potential to shape and guide the use of community accountability within a congregation. This capstone project, Documenting Sustainable Social Media Workflows: Supporting Student Professionalization in Faculty-Student Teams, examines how departmental social media teams serve as informal training grounds where students build professional identities through collaborative, often undocumented communication work (Buck; Leon & Pigg). Addressing writing studies concerns about experiential learning gaps (McNabb; Carr et al.), the project creates a handbook offering practical guidance for onboarding, workflow continuity, accessibility, and ethical social media practices. This thesis is a Composition and Rhetoric study of the monster romance genre, a growing yet often misunderstood site of rhetorical activity. It centers on a survey, “Reader Perceptions of Shame, Empowerment, and Genre in Monster Romance Fiction,” distributed through Instagram to 176 readers. From this data, the project analyzes both quantitative trends and qualitative responses to examine how readers describe their emotional and interpretive relationships to the genre. Peer mentors who work with students with intellectual disabilities at the post-secondary level are uniquely situated in their roles both as students and as tutors to assist their students not only with their academic work but also in modeling learning strategies one-on-one. This brief study, including both quantitative and qualitative survey data, establishes a baseline for tutors’ self-confidence when it comes to their own writing and tutoring their students in writing. This capstone investigates how the methodologies of the humanities can inform the creation and analysis of public policy. Since the mid-twentieth century, public policy has increasingly turned away from humanistic questions and toward technical questions. The result has been a public policy regime that focuses too much on manipulable variables and not on the humans that the policies are impacting. By applying humanistic methodologies to public policy, we are more likely to appreciate the inarticulable elements of human social organization and therefore devise public policy that is less harmful and more humble.

Vaccines have been a controversial and frequently discussed topic the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The amount of readily available information on the internet - accurate or not – has led to many theories and opinions on whether to vaccinate and why, or why not. This article discusses these theories, as well as the benefits and consequences of vaccine mandates, with the help of examples from other countries.
