Becoming Mormon Men: Male Rites Of Passage And The Rise Of Mormonism In Nineteenth-Century America, Bruce R. Lott

The evidence presented in this thesis supports a view of the first Mormon men as coming from the agrarian majority of early nineteenth-century American farmers and artisans who embraced a set of manly ideals that differed significantly, in many ways, from those embraced by their middle-class contemporaries. These men's life writings attest to boyhood experiences of working alongside their fathers as soon as they were physically able, and subsequently of acting as substitute farmers and breadwinners as well as being put out to work outside the direct supervision of their fathers. The objective of this research is to clarify the concept and the role of Jesus Christ as the saviour according to Roman Catholic Church It also tracks down how Cl11ist becomes the saviour of inherited sin and this view is analyzed through statements found in tl1e New Testament and the Old Testament, and the view of church leaders in Malaysia. This research is a comparative study and a critical analysis of the doctrine. Jesus Christ being the saviour of Original Sin or Original Sin for human beings according to the views of Western scholars and Muslim Scholars.

According to the Mu0tazi lite, mind has such position that man is able to perceive the existence of good and able to close between good and evil, right and wrong. This thesis is an articulate study on the modes of inference in the legal field. Observing the huge legacy left by early and modem jurists on Usul al-Fiqh, one would find that the rules promulgated to regulate the operation of Ijtihad appears vacillating between certainty and uncertainty. A thorough examination of the criteria set by jurists to determine the accuracy of the legal proofs suggests that every thing appears to have been comprehensively tackled except "Certainty".
