Selected Variables Related To Alienation From Religion Among Church-Related High School Students, Carl Robert Laurent

Dissertations

Problem. One of the most important concerns of parents and church leaders is alienation from religion among church-related adolescents. This research was conducted to discover relationships that might exist between alienation from religion and other selected variables.

Method. Three hundred and ninety students were selected by a stratified random method from among all students attending three church-related youth conferences. Each teenager was asked to respond to an inventory which consisted of 162 statements divided into eighteen attitude scales. One scale measured alienation from religion, while the other seventeen measured the independent variables. The major statistical method used in analyzing the …

Secular & Ministerial Counseling In Bowling Green, Kentucky, Henry Darke

Masters Theses & Specialist Projects

Samples from two populations, community ministers and secular counselors, were surveyed to develop and analyze a description of the perceptions between and among these groups concerning their roles as counselors in the total community. The Pauline Concept Of The New Man, Clarence William Franz Jun 1942

The Pauline Concept Of The New Man, Clarence William Franz

Graduate Thesis Collection

This thesis is to be primarily a character analysis. Naturally that will eliminate considerations that might be easily included. As far as possible a strenuous effort will be made to avoid detailed discussions about theological issues that inescapably belong to such a study as this. In a character analysis we must be concerned principally with individuality in persons. By that we mean to treat all those features and characteristions which distinguish the new man from the old. Those theological factors having to do primarily with the state of man in his relation to God will only be touched upon. It …

Graduate Thesis Collection

We will make it our purpose of this thesis to approach Christian marriage from a two-fold standpoint; we will search for the New Testament concept of marriage, unhampered by set theological patterns of thought; we will approach it psychologically.

Divorce Is A Great Menace, And Should Be Thoroughly Eradicated, Frederick A. Kurt

Bachelors’ Theses

"What God hath joined together, let no man put asunder". Matt. XIX, 6 "What's done can not be undone." Macbeth.

Marriage is generally accepted to be a contract by which two persons, man and woman, bind themselves to live together, in an indissoluble union until death. With this definition we iterate the properties of marriage, unity, and indissolubility. Such were the properties of marriage at the time of Adam and Eve, and such must be its nature today. As long as husband and wife live in such a union the properties of marriage are not transgressed against. The history of …
