The Diffusion Of Christianity Among Urban Chinese People In Diaspora: The Case Of Metropolitan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Wilbur P. Stone

This study identifies various factors involved in the diffusion of Christianity and the growth and expansion of the church among the urban Chinese diaspora in the greater Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area (KL) of Maluysia. Specifically, the research is designed to determine whether principles and theories related to the diffusion of innovations could inform or help explain the diffusion of Christianity and growth of the church. The study is further informed by insights, principles, and theories from literature related to other areas of study including Chinese religion and culture, religious conversion studies, church growth, urban ministry, and missiology. Internal Pastoral Changes In A Growing Church, John G. Kearns

The purpose of this study was to discover how pastors of growing churches change internally. The necessary functional changes for the pastor of a growing church have been previously identified, but not all pastors are able to make these external changes. This study researched the internal changes that are a necessary prelude to changes in function. Church growth literature, Scripture, and leadership literature from both the church and the marketplace, were surveyed in order to lay the groundwork for this study.
Thirty-two pastors were interviewed based on their meeting the following criterion: pastoring a church during the time that worship …
