本研究試圖描繪香港細胞小組教會網絡短宣參加者的歷程及屬靈體驗，指出他們在旅途內的所見所聞受到了特定的宗教論述及旅遊操作所形塑和建構，而在此脈絡下產生的屬靈經驗可能不再純粹是神秘的、超自然和非物質的力量，相反它是可預期的文化產物，甚至不是本真(authentic)的屬靈經驗。然而，這種被建構的宗教及屬靈視野選擇性地把某些社會文化或問題 (如貧窮、種族主義、色情和異教文化)簡約歸類為邪惡他者的陰謀和控制，巧妙地隱藏或迴避了問題背後複雜而糾結的社會、經濟、政治及文化張力；同時鞏固了基督徒的身份認同及基督教的優越感，並相信基督教的價值觀獲得超越而且凌駕一切文化的合法性，然後將短宣內的屬靈經驗視為經歷神的重要證據。

此研究亦有助我們反思全球靈恩運動(Global Pentecostalism)的擴張，全球靈恩運動是近年基督教內增長最迅速的宗教運動，以屬靈恩賜、屬靈戰爭及繁榮神學(Prosperity Gospel)為主要特徵。除了依賴龐大的宗教媒體和超級教會等意識形態機器宣傳外，透過細緻的旅遊操作、宗教論述及靈性實踐，使短宣成為全球靈恩運動擴張的途徑之一，甚至讓這場源自美國的宗教運動轉化成本土的宗教內容。

Any Christian philosophy of education must begin with acknowledging God to be the Creator of all that is, and as the source of all Truth. All knowledge is derived from, or in some way related to, the Creator God. Three elements that inform our understanding of education are:

• our having been created in the image of God;
• the creation mandate; and
• the principle of stewardship.

William Badke, who hails from Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia, is a librarian and a professor who has been thinking well about the conundrum of teaching and learning information literacy since 1985 when he began teaching this subject. Exposing The Roots Of Low Self-Efficacy For Math: A Multi-Case Study Of Students In An Urban Middle School, Joshua Emmett, Daniel Hall, Corey Mckenna

This multi-case study of historically low-performing 7th grade students in a math class at an urban middle school employed a theoretical framework based upon Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory to discover the causes of low self-efficacy for math. The study utilized a cross-case analysis of four students who demonstrated varying degrees of self-efficacy. To serve students similarly situated, Christian teachers need to know what these students are experiencing and an understanding of the causes of low self-efficacy can inform their professional practice. Teaching English as a Second Language is a broad field with programs designed to teach students from all languages and cultures around the world. Currently, the field is facing an urgent need for qualified teachers and leaders due to increasingly high numbers of immigrants and refugees. To meet this challenge, universities must have a plan for adequately preparing teachers to work with the growing population of non-native English learners.

This article addresses the preparation and support needed by evangelicals who serve as administrators and teacher leaders in public school settings. Educational leadership is lonely, demanding, and draining. This article explores the unique challenges evangelical leaders face because of the ongoing conflict between conservative Christians and public schools. Work-related conflicts that evangelicals experience in the workplace due to faith and the cultural dynamics that fuel this conflict are described. Strategies are proposed for Christian colleges and universities to prepare school leaders for the cultural crossfire.

Those who have read David Anderson’s earlier works will recognize that he has devoted his career to developing what might be referred to as a “theology of disability” or a “hermeneutic of special education” (p. 225). His book, Toward a Theology of Special Education: Integrating Faith and Practice, is a comprehensive treatise on what it means to approach the work of a special educator through an explicitly Christian worldview lens.

This theological reflection incorporates the work of three Christian thinkers, Wilfred Cantwell Smith, Willard Oxtoby, and Thomas Michel SJ, who have helped the author, a Muslim, to better understand interfaith dialogue between Muslims and Christians. The reflection draws on music and popular culture to explore the idea of faithful Christian witness, and how Christian hospitality can help Muslims and Christians to be better faith neighbours. The connections between Muslims and Christians are examined throughout this reflection.

An increasing number of university and college libraries have started digitization programs, and there are good reasons why they are doing so. First, we are in the middle of revolutionary change as to how ideas get published and distributed. Over 50 percent of scholarly publishing has gone digital, and over 20 percent has gone open access. Governments worldwide are beginning to require that tax-supported research be published in open access venues. Secondly, it is imperative that academic institutions increase their archives’ digital presence. In the spring of 2010, the Liberty University Jerry Falwell Library began a pilot patron-driven acquisition program with the e-book aggregator ebrary. In the fall of 2012, the program had been active for two years, and the librarians sought to optimize the program in the form of selecting more titles which are used. This paper describes the formula that the librarians used to achieve optimization in the PDA program. Also described is the workflow involved with acquisitions and cataloging before and after the purchases are made.

A Different Kind Of Embedded Librarian: More Than Just A New Office, Brad Doerksen

An increasing number of colleges and universities are embracing the concept of the embedded librarian. The goal is to put librarians into the physical space where students and faculty are most likely to encounter them rather than waiting for patrons to come to the library. This article asks if just doing the same thing differently is enough. A different kind of embedded librarian may be needed – one who has a regular teaching load in a curricular discipline, thereby better connecting the library with the classroom end of delivering the educational mission to the benefit of everyone.

Robert Greenleaf (1977) took a follower’s, rather than a leader-centric, point of view of leadership by describing a leader as one who leads by serving. He identified a leader as one who sets other people’s needs above his or her own. He argued that motivation of leaders must begin with the conscious choice to serve others. Greenleaf’s concept provides the basis for a theoretical model of servant leadership. This dissertation examines the extent to which African American pastors exhibit servant leadership characteristics, using the Servant Leadership Questionnaire (Barbuto & Wheeler, 2006).
