The Logos Journal was published in the 1970s to provide teaching on the baptism in the Spirit for churches and believers in the Charismatic Renewal. The journal was edited by Dan Malachuk. Logos Journal was published bimonthly by Logos International Fellowship, Inc., a nonprofit ministry dedicated to communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world by promoting renewal and reconciliation in the body of Christ.

It is a fictionalized biography of a man whom God used (behind the scenes) to interpret truth and provide guidelines necessary to the establishing of the church of Jesus Christ upon the earth.

Disregard of history is a folly which cannot be ignored without dire consequences. Rightly or wrongly the old adage suggests "History repeats itself." Ignorance of history then becomes a blight that threatens the foundations of a people, an institution or an organization. The Church and her missions are not exempt, particularly those in the Third World today. In a day when social changes occur rapidly, attacks on the historical ethos mount with threatening crescendo. Where insufficient knowledge of historical foundations exists, chaos and instability in values, morals and attitudes can easily arise within the nation or the Church.

Then as a final product of that examination, the eternal truths that transcend all time have been presented in this series of sermons in a style that communicates to the modern Christian.

American Revival Songs, 1820-1850: The Christian Lyre And Spiritual Songs For Social Worship, Paula M. Kane '80

This thesis focuses on the period 1820-1850, the heyday of revivalism and revival songs. The first section describes the background, nature and dynamics of 19th-century revivals in order to provide the historical setting and theological climate for the emergence of revival songs. The second section examines the origins, development and use of revival music in general. Two song collections are emphasized: the Christian Lyre compiled by Joshua Leavitt and Spiritual Songs for Social Worship by Thomas Hastings and Lowell Mason.

"Theology" is one of those words generally neglected by the Christian layman. Theology seems a distant and nebulous discipline which is restricted solely to the somber halls of the seminary. Even the definition of Theology is somewhat misleading, meaning in a restricted sense "a study of God". In practice, though, theology really means "the study of how God relates to his Creation."
